Don't think people appreciate what starting development from scratch actually entails. It hasn't even been 2 years yet, and 2020 being a complete write off it's probably barely been a year.
Most of the work has probably been focused on getting the basic structure programming down. Realistically this shouldn't be ready for another few years if that.
Maybe a Minecraft asset set added to the already in-game stage editor? Though it's been a long while since I dipped in there, so if you can make Minecraft levels already my bad.
I assume as it wasn't mentioned that Nobuo Uematsu didn't work on this one's soundtrack? That's a shame. It looked pretty good on the eShop store but it's price wasn't appetizing at all.
KOEI Tecmo only have publishing rights for Japan. They would have little say in what Atlus/Sega do with a Western release. Atlus being quiet on it and acting like idiots earlier in the year about it doesn't help though.
@ARPK Virtua Tennis was such a great series. Put in many in 2 on DC and the one on Vita. It was great how you could start out as a chump and train into an all-star wielder of a racket.
@Coach_A I've been barking up the same tree for ages with them not covering Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV coming to Switch (one of the best Grand Strategy games series of all time). They go where the clicks go. What we like is inconsequential unfortunately.
@Dualmask The publisher of that title has others with just the name of the activity too. Not entirely sure if they are just unimaginative or have unearthed the Pandora's box to sales.
@Ventilator I hadn't noticed - thanks for the heads up. This (like many others I'm sure) ended up falling off my radar when more and more games got released.
Personally found the 4X additions poorly implemented and rather needless. But perhaps I am just the wrong person this is marketed to. I enjoyed the first one for its simplicity and addictive drop in and play while also feeling like your kingdom was getting stronger.
@Kreko They may be selling a physical edition on their Cinemassacre website. Though don't quote me on that, they stuff a lot of merch and blu rays etc on there.
Ya'll still missing Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIV plus its expansion pack coming to Switch this Winter alongside Ryza. @Liam_Doolan
The game is one of the best Grand Strategy franchises out there. First time we finally getting it on Switch in the West (with quite a few already out in Japan only.. boo KT for their many Japan only Switch ports).
@Cosats It shouldn't be downloaded but its thumnail should appear on your home screen. Same has happened with Arms, Celeste and Pokken to my knowledge.
When you click on the thumbnail it'll request to download. Can easily remove it from the home screen too with start and delete.
As for the game. Its good timing considering 6 just got announced. I love the idea of Disgaea but not really got into any other than 3 (which I was addicted to, level cap of 9999 was insane!). Definitely worth a go.
Don't think we will be seeing this almighty powerful Switch or docked only Switch people keep pulling out of thin air. Of course would love to be proven wrong but it doesn't sound very Nintendo like to release a very expensive version of a Switch as there is no way they will sell the console at a loss.
Also the "verticality" stuff with the arm grabby thing (I have the best terminology!) was taken from Toukiden, not any inspiration from Botw I would think. We could use some Toukiden ports while we are at it.
@BenAV Is it a musical preference or just the gameplay side? I adored Deemo as the gameplay was compelling and I absolutely love anything to do with the piano.
The 'second half' is dedicated to an unannounced project (before HW's reveal). That project is highly likely Hyrule Warriors as KT have full publishing rights in Japan just like Zelda musou.
Surprised its a worldwide release though. KT normally prioritises Japan over everyone else for at least a month or two.
There's a small chance it could be Samurai Warriors 5 which was also meant to be revealed this year. It is a little counter-productive as it would steal the spotlight from their Dynasty Warriors anniversary.
@Miyamotosan Yeah the Sigma releases were made a fair bit easier (especially 2), so you played the good version for that at least haha. First on XBOX was the real hard one, then Black released which was a little easier but added a whole lot of content to make up for it.
3 / Razors Edge was always generally easier as it had no involvement from Itagaki-san, also why it was more your run of the mill action game.
@Miyamotosan Did you play the original versions on Xbox or the Sigma versions on PS3? The sigma games were significantly dumbed down and super easy in comparison.
Glad to see this coming. Hopefully they do a proper job with the port and not be a buggy broken mess like Mad Games Tycoon. Also hope it isnt price hiked like that game either.
@westman98 @mallen001 The screenshots don't portray the L and R buttons properly, but rather show them as LB and RB for two (switch handheld and pro con) and L1 and R1 for another (joycon grip). That's rather suspect but could be an error on the developers part.
Edit: L2 and R2 are also used instead of ZL and ZR for the joycon grip. Looks like its probably fake with poor oversight from the photoshopper. @Liam_Doolan
Great to see this arrive especially free. Is it just a two player experience of the same game? Hope we get to explore more of the town or whatever with new challenges. Maybe stuff catered specifically for two geese?
If this does have its own multiplayer content that's awesome.
@korosanbo Project Zero 5 was on a whole new level of low sales compared to the normal lesser sales of general Wii U titles. It was barely making four digit salss.
From what I've been looking up though seems the producer of the series wants to make a new game but Nintendo doesn't (as of April 2020). I love the series so do hope it gets given another shot.
@korosanbo @varkster Nintendo purchased the IP rights back in the late 2000s, with their first title being the remaster/enhanced port of Project Zero 2 for the Wii along with the 4th entry. Soon followed by Camera Obscura for the 3DS and lastly Project Zero 5 on Wii U. It's in the same boat as say Bayonetta, where KT still have the rights to the PS2 releases (which is why they are still up on the US PS3 store), but can't produce new titles without Nintendo involved or their permission to do so elsewhere (like Wonderful 101 and Platinum Games).
They do use the Project Zero engine for other titles however, such as that VR Sense horror game a while back.
EDIT: With how terribly poor 5 sold though I doubt we will see a port or new title from the IP anytime soon.

Re: New Discovery Suggests Crash Bandicoot 4 Might Be Coming To Nintendo Switch
@graysoncharles That's a shame. Perhaps a January one then? If they go by the other Crash release dates it'll be June / July 2021.
@Doofenshmirtz my bad.
Re: New Discovery Suggests Crash Bandicoot 4 Might Be Coming To Nintendo Switch
@graysoncharles November's partner showcase will be here before you know it. Could be then depending on actual release plans (if all true)

If Ruby Party are the developers this will never see the light of day in the West. Shame as they make some really good games.

Bit of a dmove to announce a platform delay on day of release.
Re: Where To Pre-Order The Gorgeous Limited Edition Fortnite Nintendo Switch Bundle
Those Joycon colours look pretty awesome. The design on the Switch and Dock look like random crap doodles splatted around. No thanks for that.
If we can get those Joycon colours separate (and without the crude bus) I'd be down.

Re: Deals: Level-5's Gorgeous Ghibli RPG Ni no Kuni Has 84 Percent Hacked Off Its eShop Price [Europe]
@Damo - Heads up Ni no kuni for PS3 released in late 2011 and the DS one released 2010. Not 2008.
I think we were enjoying the godly Lost Odyssey in 2008? Or maybe it was Blue Dragon.
OT: Loved the game on PS3 and got it on launch day for Switch. Great game that unfortunately got a shoddy sequel.

Not heard anything about an NG trilogy happening, but if it is as above, what a wasted opportunity having the awful Sigma versions.
Re: RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition Might Be Coming To Nintendo Switch
A shame it isn't a port of the RCT Classic that Sawyer did a couple years back. Would fit perfectly on Switch (or console in general really).
RCT3 was pretty good, but felt it going full 3D ruined a lot of its charm.
Re: Super Mario 3D World Is Coming To Switch, Along With "Bowser's Fury" Expansion

@Yanina Hope that silence is the good kind. Would love this on Switch.
Re: Rumour: Switch Control Options Supposedly Uncovered In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Warehouse Demo
@westman98 Yeah definitely seems iffy. Really hope it is an error on developers part rather than twitter / discord rando chasing clout, but its 2020.

@Kalmaro Personally just had enough of the genre, and being a fan of the developer just disappoints me a little.
Though just my own preference and such.

Roguelike.... eugh.
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Announced For Tuesday 18th August
