The first level of Alex The Kidd in Miracle World simply because for a long time I only had a Master System 2 with that one game built into the system (not counting Snail Maze).
The confirmed 2020 games don’t exactly blow me away. Animal Crossing, I guess. But that’s one of those game series that peaked a while ago. IMO it hasn’t gotten any better since the GC version.
I’ve had my Switch for over a year, but have never seen Bayonetta 1 or 2 on sale, digitally or physically. I guess i’m just going to have to pay full price.
Super Mario Odyssey for me, or BOTW. The thing about BOTW is the weapon degradation annoyed me. I know it’s an important mechanic of the game overall, but still...
Living in a student house at the time, we shared all the game platforms of the time. If it was not for Super Monkey Ball, I honestly think the GameCube would have been thrown in the cupboard and forgotten about. Nintendo really screwed up the launch of that console, and when Super Mario Sunshine finally came, the platform was so far behind, and despite the long wait, was not exactly a home run like 64 was.
Something with the SNES games seems wrong. Mario World in particular feels framey and suffers from slowdown. Also, the button layout with the normal controller feels bad.
I’m happy we’ll get the expansions. I’m not interested in online anyway. My only problem with the game is that they include bigger maps, but they are unplayable because the slowdown gets so bad. I can only ever play Tiny, even Small and Standard get too bad halfway through a game.
The only Fire Emblem game i’ve played is Radiant Dawn. I really liked the gameplay, but couldn’t finish it because the story and constant dialogue was so boring. If I could just play the game, watch a few cut scenes, and avoid all the clicking through dialogue, I might enjoy this series.
Hmm.. imagine if these fed into your system profile that you could compare with your friends.it could work for other games too and give you an overall score. Might be fun... I guess...
@TheGameTutor I played the first one and the novelty wore off quickly for me. The whole moving with the beat thing is not that much fun IMO. I would probably only play it 3-4 times and be done. Hence why £20 seems like at lot. Not exactly an impulse buy price point...
Look at the success of Crash and Spyro. If Banjo was owned by Activision they would remake the N64 games to great acclaim. Microsoft on the other hand...
@TAndvig OK I see what you mean now. But I would say in response to that, is if you do find yourself under-leveled in the game, there are plenty of ways to level up while still role-playing as a stealthy assassin. You are right though, in order to make efficient progress, it is best to engage in fighting and hunting as well. The game encourages you to play it as an action-rpg.
I want this on my Switch, but I want them to fix it first. And hopefully discount it to a reasonable price sooner than later.
By the way, I played the original on the PS3 and the performance was crap back then as well. I remember a mate of mine defending it by saying the slow frame rate made it more cinematic LOL! Looks like Switch got the ‘cinematic’ version this time.
@TAndvig how are you playing Odyssey? Running around using melee attacks and going for bow and arrow head shots? That’s fine if you are, but it’s also totally possible to move around like an assassin, stealth killing, hiding bodies, learning guard patterns etc. etc. It’s really fun to play that way... Taking down forts and encampments without ever raising an alarm. Avoiding combat completely and just stealing what you need, or sneaking into your target’s sleeping quarters and killing them in their sleep... it’s all there and plenty of it.
I loved this game on the Wii. I think i’ll leave the memories alone for now. RE4 100% sold me on motion controlled shooters. I even played RE5 from start to finish with the Move controller on the harder difficulty. Shame that outside of VR this control scheme is pretty much dead.
Needs support from EA. It's just not the same for me without Road Rash, Desert Strike, EA Hockey, Madden'92 and Bulls vs. Lakers. OK maybe just Road Rash would do it.

Mine's the same as Liam's. Or maybe it's the goat herding, I don't know... But, I do love Twilight Princess the most!

Also, shouldn’t Outer Worlds be on this list?

@Wavey84 I know quite a few teenagers that watch a lot of streamers. They don’t have any money to buy games themselves, so it kind of makes sense.
Re: Feature: The Best Movie Licences On Nintendo Systems
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES gave me hours of fun, and frustration, but mostly fun.
Also the Mega Drive Terminator 2 shooting gallery game was good
And Ghostbusters on the Spectrum.

@LegendofCreed it doesn’t look like her hardly at all.
Re: The N64 Version Of Joanna Dark Joins The Totaku Collection This September
Microsoft and Nintendo need to put a remastered version of Perfect Dark on the Switch with online multiplayer.
