@gcunit by iwata himself. Back in 2014 he said the next console ans handheld would be like brothers. And that it doesn't necessarily mean turning into 1 device during a shareholder meeting.

The hybrid thing has been debunked humorous times.

Anyway I'm for this. Faster load times, collectivity, cost saved on the console it's self. As for third party well people are buying more digital anyway. And they all won't be completely on board right away anyway.

I think it's a new home console with a separate companion mini tablet. the tablet docks to the nx controller and syncs with the nx console, allowing for second screen play.

Well, Shadow of Mordor 2 definitely wouldn't be coming to 3DS, New 3DS, or Wii U. And I highly doubt the next portable would be powerful enough. So if its coming to a nintendo platform, it'll be the next home console.

Yeah after this plus Nintendo trademarking 3d representations of their characters, I think NX's big gimmick will be social AR via object scanning and possibly even image projection.

I still think it could launch this year. Maybe x86 means they don't need a physical devkit?

And if x86 and launching this year I'm assuming Nintendo will be using AMD Puma for the CPU.

Good app too. Just wish there was a bit more gameplay and better friend search. But I do agree that Miitomo isn't designed to make tons of money. It's a means to get the nintendo brand out there on mobile devices. All in all a good Mii-based social app for Nintendo users.

@Mogster I have to agree really wish they would talk about NX already. There's a time for secrecy and a time for action, And i think there's been too much of the former.

I do think sometimes a company should keep its cards close to its chest, but at the same time staying silent for toolong can either decrease interest or raise expectations to bad levels.

There is not gonna be a direct soon. NOTHING is happening before E3 to warrant a direct.

So I guess mobile, Nintendo Account, MyNintendo, and NX are their main priorities for the moment.

Idk. I definitely think Kimishima will use directs more sparingly. They'll still happen but only when necessary. Kimishima won't do a direct just to do a direct.

If NX is launching this year I do hope we get the reveal or some news next month. I understand Nintendo likes to keep the deck close their chest and doesn't like to copy others. But we need Ninformation.

Expected sadly. I'm not getting the game but cutting content to me is simply unacceptable. I am so sick of Nintendo treating us like kids. I understand their main demographic is kids/families(And you know it is.), but I'm tired of daddy knows best Nintendo always trying to tell us what we do and don't want.

@Grumblevolcano except Pokken is confirmed for March . This actually looks like they're filling up until September to clear the fall/holiday slate for NX.

Thinking we will get an update to 6.0 in March for MyNintendo integration. Same with 3DS.

Nintendo sure is filling up the first half of the year regarding 3DS. I believe the Wii U version was scheduled for August initially.

Expect to hear first NX details next month.

I imagine it's also getting ready for MyNintendo. Since Wii U and 3DS are likely getting what will probably their last major system updates in March for the program.

And asive said before we are probably getting a direct before March 1st.

@Grumblevolcano its one less year. The Wii U got its 2d Mario, 3d Mario, Mario kart, Mario party, Kirby, donkey Kong, smash etc. It's still getting its Zelda. We were never promised f zero or metroid.

Yeah I think if the project games exist they'll be released in the summer as $15 eshop titles.

It will certainly be a big year for Nintendo. As others have said, it is likely launching this year and has to come out swinging. The reveal and marketing must be nigh perfect.

It's a stopgap guys. Fact is the 3DS and WiiU are slowly but surely on their way out.

Well he is the head of tecmo koei, so his studios most likely have devkitsvand he's most likely seen them and the product design, especially if NX is releasing this year.
