Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has been my go-to game (and I'm almost ashamed to say that I've played it daily) since 2014, so of course I'm up for this. I've already played over 1000 hours across PS4, Vita and Switch, so I'm already too far gone anyway. 😆
The mainline Pokémon games have been stagnating for years, although I've always ended up buying them. After playing Sword and Shield, however, that was the point where I said to myself that enough was enough until the games got completely overhauled.
But if Pokémon is indeed getting its "Breath of the Wild moment", consider my interest in the series rekindled.
The next Smash character will be announced. Industry insiders claim that it'll be "whoever it is you want the least".
To celebrate Zelda's 35th anniversary, A collection of Zelda HD remasters will be available to purchase between February 22nd 2021 and March 1st 2021, after which all unsold physical copies and all source code will be loaded into a rocket and fired into the sun.
If it actually makes Smash Bros. Ultimate playable, then I'm all for it. That game is a complete sh*tshow as soon as you dare even think about playing online.
@scoobdoo I've been eyeing up Ryza and Ryza 2. I've only played one Atelier game before but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it was Atelier Rorona? It was on PlayStation Vita, anyway.
I got Steamworld Quest, Just Shapes & Beats and Thumper dirt cheap at various points before Christmas and still hadn't tried any of them. Until last night, anyway; I played about an hour of Steamworld Quest before bed last night and I am so in.
Get Ben Schwartz in to voice him in future games. If Sega wants to grow the movie into a film franchise, it wouldn't hurt to have some cohesiveness between the movies' and games' voice cast.
It's all well and good promising to do better and apologising, but nowhere in all that text am I seeing an explanation for the long delays, nor am I seeing anything addressing how the company aims to prevent running into those same problems further down the line.
I don't know, I'm not in the position of having ordered anything from Dispatch, but if I were in that boat I'd be cancelling any and all orders and washing my hands of the entire thing.
Dragon Quest XI, Octopath Traveler and Ni no Kuni are all must-plays. One day I'll finally get around to Xenoblade(s), Atelier(s) and The World Ends With You... One day.
I'll give Jools more money for games when he finally delivers the goods with Chicken Wiggle Workshop or Hatch Tales or whatever the hell it's called this week.
Neither Apple, Google nor Epic come away looking good in this whole situation, but it legitimately makes me angry every time Epic tries to come across as the downtrodden underdog. Sony paid $250 million for a 1.4% stake in your company, you f**king mooks.
I loved Doom 2016, and so naturally jumped on Doom Eternal when it came to Game Pass. It was good, but by around three quarters of the way through I was ready for it to be over.
@ROBLOGNICK the colour puzzles in the S series animate. I get what you mean about the overall sterility but personally I'm just in it to play picross puzzles; I'm not interested in superfluous flair or bells and whistles.
As a disabled individual, it's genuinely heartwarming to see hardware manufacturers strive for more inclusion and make it as easy as possible for anyone to pick up a controller and play. If only the games themselves as a whole would get with the program...
I've played the PS4 and Xbox One versions of JWE to death and absolutely adore this game. If the Switch version runs well and isn't too big of a graphical downgrade in docked mode (I'm totally okay with lower resolutions in handheld), this game will absolutely be worth me purchasing again (again).
I'm totally willing to buy a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game, but £35.99 is pushing it. Plus, the words 'quality products' aren't exactly what springs to mind when I think about Microids.
@Jokerwolf having both battle methods in the game isn't something that could be easily implemented at all. Pokémon is not only balanced with turn-based battles in mind, but to implement a real-time battle system akin to Pokkén (as you mentioned), Game Freak would have to completely re-write or change the game engine, implement all kinds of new balancing to account for free player movement, write an entirely new AI to make use of said movement, not to mention having to FULLY animate around 900 unique models with tens of thousands of possible moves.
At that point, you're essentially asking Game Freak to create two entirely different games.
@Wexter and it's not like Pokémon fans don't have alternatives to the traditional turn-based formula, either. I might have burnt out on the mainline games, but if I want a Pokémon fix, there's still Pokkén, Mystery Dungeon, Puzzle League, Snap, etc. Thinking about it, Pokémon fans actually have one of the most eclectic range of alternatives and spin-offs available.
@Jokerwolf updates to the formula would be welcome but what you're talking about is completely changing the core gameplay, at which point the Devs risk alienating the fanbase. There's a reason, for example, the turn-based upcoming Yakuza game is Yakuza: Like a Dragon and not Yakuza 7; by positioning itself as a spin-off, it can experiment and take risks.

Re: Pokémon Unite Beta Players Break Rules By Sharing Footage Online
This is the one game I wouldn't want alternative outfits for; I want my Pokémon to look like Pokémon!

Re: Poll: Do You Like The Chibi Art Style In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl?
I like it. It's not groundbreaking, but it's not a bad look; it's modern while remaining faithful to the style of the original games.

@Stocksy "what do you know?" Unless you've played it, Jack sh*t 😂
Re: Preview: Ghosts 'n Goblins: Resurrection Is Going To Hurt You, A Lot
I'd have put "Hell and high slaughter".
You're welcome.
Re: Nintendo Might Have Revealed A New Mario Golf: Super Rush Character Ahead Of Schedule
Chain Chomp holding a tennis racket was hilarious to me. Shove a golf club in his gob and I'll be happy.
Re: Mini Review: Prehistorik Man - The Stone-Age Platformer That Time Forgot
The game controls and plays great, but I find the font used for dialogue and such completely illegible in portable mode.
Re: Talking Point: What We're Hoping To See In Today's Nintendo Direct
Games/stuff that would leave me smiling the most:
Also, Bewear in Smash would render any
and all future additional characters obsolete.

...
(that's genuinely all I have to say, but the site wouldn't let me post just that)

@Kalteas I'm pretty sure that's correct, yeah.

I fail to see the downside.

@ROBLOGNICK they were definitely in S3 and S4. At this point I can't remember if they were in S or S2.

I love these games. Whack all the assists off and I get a good 50-60 hours fun for £9

@neufel YEEAAH BOOOOIIII!!!
Re: Poll: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Is Out Today, Are You Getting It?
I have no love for musou games, yet I thought a Zelda coating would be enough to get me through the first Hyrule Warriors.
I was wrong and won't make the same mistake again.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th November (Europe)
All of these games are inconsequential, because Picross S5 is out next week. And I'm not even joking.
Re: Site News: Nintendo Life Turns 15 Today

@Desrever I'd settle for the Charles Ingram DLC.

@dartmonkey Triceratops literally translates to "three-horned face". Styracosaurus only has one horn on its face. COME ON; NERD BETTER!

@Jokerwolf If that's your point then, yes, that would be amazing, but saying it could easily be done is utter nonsense.

@dj0s that would be legitimately cool.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next DLC Fighter To Be Revealed Tomorrow, 1st October
Fire Emblem is really under-represented so I'm hoping for another FE character.
