@Broforce I feel the opposite. My son is 9 and has been building 18+ Lego for the past few years. The building is the most fun for me. He legitimately plays with the sets afterwards, but he is obsessed with the building phase. The chaos of pieces in bags turning into structurally sound and competent designs, all while having it revealed to you how they engineered certain aspects, is incredibly entertaining and satisfying.
@Toastmaster for me it was Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego on the SNES. It came with an encyclopedia to help look for answers to the clues in the game.
I have been using this for years. When sitting close to a 4K TV, like I do on all of my desks, it makes a noticeable difference. However, I have also noticed that certain TVs have a similar built in setting called super resolution which does something similar. Still, this cleans up the rough edges of everything coming out of the Switch and I appreciate it.
@EarthboundBenjy Same. The reveal was so exciting and the idea of mixing Luigi's Mansion with Castlevania will forever be one of the most memorable moments in gaming trailers for me. And the polish was superb.
@Vyacheslav333 Games like Q2 allow you to really really crank the gyro sensitivity, which means that you can get good enough muscle control to fine tune aiming with gyro while not compromising your relationship to the screen. And the handy gyro reset button is there for good measure.
I was a game tester at Nintendo when this was coming out. Specifically, we had to test the text from other languages to make sure it never exceeded the dialogue boxes. I remember having fond memories of the game, which is really something when you spend 40 hours a week starting over.
I am so shocked at how many of you bristle at this. Miyamoto himself downplays character development because he makes GAMES. This guy makes MOVIES. If you take these game characters, who need little to no personality for their games, and you need to make them interesting for a movie, then he is absolutely right. What a bunch of whiners you all are!
So maybe someone can help me. I love this aesthetic, but I want a game where I can control 360 degrees of aiming with the right stick. I would buy this right now if I could precisely aim.
Are there any games that offer this Metal Slug/Contra/Castlevania vibe with those controls?
I was such a nerd that I captured all of my friend's faces on my GB Camera months before release in preparation. I was extremely disappointed when it was cut.
@Sonos As others have said, court is very expensive. Especially when the other side can drain money from your small legal fund by wasting time and distracting the point with their legal side. Ruining a company's reputation in public because of what they have done is an excellent alternative.
@Would_you_kindly No, there is no spite here. Top billed actors are put on a poster so that consumers can be attracted to their favorite actors. It is in no way associated with spite or favoritism.
I was so disappointed with the lack of control options on the Switch. After the previous update, I was much happier. Now that they have fixed the controller option value bug, I am super hyped. Nice work!
@Nookingtons I don't know of any modern Bluetooth protocol which introduces the kind of latency that would affect anything. Let alone be noticeable in a 30 fps N64 game.
This little device makes a huge difference when gaming on a 4K TV up close. Everything is much smoother and cleaner. I was shocked when I set up on a similar TV without it.
I can't get over the poor control stick implementation. The ramp up feels all wrong and makes it impossible to have fine control over turning and aiming with the Pro Controller. I played it on Gamepass using the Pro Controller through Steam on PC this weekend and it felt infinitely better.
They screwed up the analog controls. The turn accelleration isn't adjustable and it's way too high. Each turn starts out slow and then instantly ramps way way up. No deadzone options either.
Yeah, it's a weird comment that Nintendo saw a video from YouTube and maybe managed to open all of the joycons which were heading to retailers in order to add this. If this is the solution from Nintendo, it was implemented way before the video came out.
