Smash Ultimate Version 13.0.0 Arrives Next Week, Save Your Replays ASAP

It's still kinda sad to know this will be the last major Smash Bros update ☹

@CharlieGirl Yeah, but it had to happen at some point. On the plus side in another 5-10 years from now there could be a new title.

All my replays are saved, I'm ready.

It's been a while ride, this feels like when the last major update for Splatoon 2 was announced, sad but exciting at the same time, thank you to everyone for making this so amazing, i can't wait, 파이팅!

I wonder what other balance changes they'll make in 13.0.0.

I seriously dont know how the next smashbros can top this one. The best game ever created.
The only thing i missed was a story mode (Subspace style)
So the next smash really needs a story mode and also many unique characters lol.

@CharlieGirl Do you have any definitive proof that this will be the final update for Smash Bros?

Balance updates for other characters is still a thing, you know.
You can't jump to conclusions just because this is the final DLC character being put in.

edit: I thought she said "Final Update" in general not including balance patches.

@The-Chosen-one I'm sure if the next Smash director decides to have newer characters as well as other most wanted characters like Waluigi in the next game as well as more fun game modes, then there's a chance it could be enough for some people to call the next game better if that happens.

Ultimate has a pretty lackluster single player mode and Spirit Board only shows how pointless it is. Aside from that, everything in Ultimate is mostly fine.

Yeah i agree with that.
The next director only has to look at the results of the smash voting ballot pick some most voted characters. And renew the old characters (i want mario and link for example have new moves and feel more fresh)

If they do that and as you say add in some fresh stuff (single player mini games and story mode)
World of light sometimes felt pointless and a waste of time.

Of course I look forward to this. I've been wanting Sora ever since Brawl. Sora's a dream come true to me, and for the very first time I got to experience all the enthusiasm I've seen in reactions for Joker and the others. Banjo and Hero were the closest we could get, but Sora is the one that I personally felt like being "a character for me", if I can say it in an admittedly selfish way. The one that actually made me happy. I was seriously bracing for disappointment until the keychain got a close-up. Then I cried tears of glorious joy.

@russell-marlow They said the last MAJOR update, which it is. Sakurai has already said we're not getting anymore new features. 1-2 more patches and that's gonna be it I'm thinking.

hopefully we get more balance patches in the future. I'm still hoping for my boy incineroar to be faster

People on Twitter are treating this like it's the final update ever on Smash, when in reality, the only thing we aren't getting anymore are DLC Fighters and possibly Mii costumes. Bandai Namco is still around to work on this game, whether that's to bring in balance patches or post events.
