@nessisonett @TheDragonDAFan @Caryslan I'm just bitter that people are getting paid for doing what I've been doing my whole life, play video games. There were no eSports in the 80s or 90s (that I'm aware of), now all of a sudden these kids half my age are making a good living playing video games. Where was that job when I was younger?

What ever happened to the days when Games were just fun? Now you have "professionals" that compete in eSports anmake monet off of other people’s hard work (the devs making the game). This whole thing is ridiculous.

I don’t knowingly play games by racists (PewDiePie), so that’s a hard pass.

I angry at Nintendo of America for never doing anything cool like this. Their online store is mostly replacement parts, amiibo that don't sell well, and a handful of old games for discontinued systems.

At this point, does anyone care? It would have benefitted them to come out last year. The Switch currently has Ultra Street Fighter II, ARMS, Brawlout, and Pokken Tournament DX, and soon to have the Street Fighter Collection and Super Smash Bros.

When charging in handheld mode, I use the cable that came with the Pro Controller and an iPad charger.

They are the ones that chose to travel to this event. The only thing Niantic should have paid is any expense involved with the actual event. (Such as a ticket to attend)

That would be like if I paid to travel to France and the hotel having broken water pipes. The hotel would only owe me the cost of the room, nothing else. I’d still be responsible for my airplane cost.

@SmaggTheSmug I wasn't the one complaining about ports, so I don't see the irony. Anyway, I just looked it up and SNES came out two years prior. However, I do not remember seeing a single commercial on TV for it until All-Star, that's why I assumed it was a launch title. I remember the commercial said buy a Super Nintendo and it included an order form you could mail in to get a free copy of All-Star.

Why don’t they just ask Nintendo for help? Nintendo has really good compression tools, evident by the fact that their games on Switch have small file sizes.

@Tibob Can you explain why there were reports that it didn’t sell as well as they hoped then? Also most people don’t buy games twice. For example, I have the Crash trilogy on PS4. Am I going to get it on Switch too? No, I’m not. Spyro was announced for PS4 and Switch, I’m going to get it on Switch.

To their credit, Nintendo has added some elements of optional censorship to some 3rd party games by way of Nintendo-themed items.

If you use the Master Sword in Skyrim, it doesn’t drip blood like the other swords do. Also in Bayonetta, wearing a costume mean s when her hair is used as a weapon, she stays clothed.

@Damo You have better eyes than me then, because I can’t see it. However I did play the demo, to see what this game is about. That image, uncensored is in the demo for anyone interested.

My overall impressions, this game is basically Candy Crush wrapped in a noir-style story. Fights are determined by playing a puzzle.

@Tibob What about reports that the game wasn’t selling as well as hoped on the other consoles, and people assuming it’s because they were waiting for the promised Switch port? Same day or delayed, doesn’t really matter sales-wise.

I understand the current game was already in development for the other consoles before Switch was even announced. That’s why I said future games. Games that aren’t in development yet.

What I’d like to see is same-day ports from Bethesda. Before the Xbone/PS4 versions came out, it was announced that a Switch version would come "at a later time". But what Bethesda really needs to do is have all their future games come to all systems on the same day.

@AcridSkull Joy-Con connect to the Switch via a small chip on the bottom, that’s what slides into a connector on the Switch to make a wired connection. I’m sure HORI got those chips from Nintendo, which would make the price higher than a simple USB controller, of which they could go to any source, even create it themselves.

You’re comparing something that is proprietary to something that’s an open standard.

@AcridSkull Of course I don’t think $50 for a single Joy-Con is a "good deal" but that’s how much it costs for an official one from Nintendo. In that comparison, $25 for this HORI Joy-Con is half price.

I wish Nintendo would detect which games I own physically and if any of them has DLC, put that front and center in the eShop. It’s such a pain when I have to do a search for a particular game just to get some DLC bits.

If you want to use two PS4 controllers (or a combo of one PS4 and one Xbox controller) at the same time on Switch, do you need two of these adapters?

@rjejr Go into the settings on the PS4 and dim the light coming from the controller. By default it’s at full brightness, your battery will last longer with a dim light.

@Abes3 all PowerA controllers are wired. Plus it says "wired controller" on the box.

I’d get the Zelda one for the collection though, however it would remain sealed in the box. There are no practical uses for a wired controller with that short of a cable.

Now it all makes sense, why all of HORI’s controllers are wired only, they were getting ready for this thing.

I played PitFighter on the Genesis back in the day. It wasn’t that bad.

I have a whole stockpile of the amiibos. I cut them out, given away a couple to friends as well.
