Re: Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu And Eevee Need A Switch Online Sub For Core Gameplay Features

@Damo The title of the NintendoEverything article CLEARLY says "The Pokemon Company clarifies plans for online in Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee once and for all"

I’ll repeat myself, having The Pokemon Company speak to anyone other than Eurogamer isn’t good enough. Famitsu is a well known Japanese publication, I guess this means nothing.

Original article:
https://www.famitsu.com/news/201806/01158241.html
NE English post:
https://nintendoeverything.com/the-pokemon-company-clarifies-plans-for-online-in-pokemon-lets-go-pikachu-eevee-once-and-for-all/

Now stop trying to defend Ryan, he should have fixed the article appropriately instead of just adding a little bit of extra text but still reject it in the article after I mentioned it to him.

Don’t lie to me and say there was no info at the time, because there was. How dare you continue this charade! Instead of just letting it go, you just had to continue to annoy me.

@cleveland124 Also that upgrade fee was optional. Nothing was stopping you (after doing the Wii Transfer) to continue to play all your VC games for free by booting up the Wii menu on your Wii U. You only had to pay to upgrade to play on the Wii U menu (and thus also use the Wii U gamepad). So not only are the game none transferable to the Switch, but you have to pay monthly. And if you only want a single game (as I mentioned) then it makes the cost even more ridiculous.

I wish Nintendo bothered to add extra value in DK. It’s the first port that isn’t a "deluxe" or "definitive" or anything else. Nothing extra is included except for an easy mode (Funky Kong) and for that they want an extra $10. The Wii U version retailed at only $50 (although now you can get it for $20). Why is the Switch version $10 more at $60?

At first I didn't think this game would be challenging based on the demo, but after playing the retail version for a few weeks I can say that the challenge lies in the red puzzle pieces. Though the ones in the early levels are hidden in pretty straight forward locations that you really can't miss, the later levels hide them better. Finding the little hidden locations is quite enjoyable.

So whilst the gameplay may be the easiest in any Kirby game that I've played, there is still something in the game to hold your interest. It's not as rudimentary as Sonic Forces, now that's a game I regret buying 100%. Nothing redeeming about that one.
