Why couldn't they just use the Christian Whitehead remake of Sonic 1 instead? It's in widescreen, has the spin dash, has Tails and Knuckles as unlockable characters, and could easily have the drop dash added as well.

@Nico07 Just use the Joy-Cons. You'll get more functionality out of them, you can use them whenever you want, even when you don't have a subscription, and you'll save $60.

@tameshiyaku It's a shame that Nintendo-centric websites or communites tend to devolve into pro-Nintendo echo chambers (not saying that Nintendo doesn't deserve praise for some of the things they do). @BensonUii The booing is one thing, but the best players of the tournament making a mockery of their game's competitive scene is even worse. The stalling, non-competitiveness, and crowd taunting that occurred in the Smash 4 grand finals in front of the largest audience the game gets every year made the Smash 4 scene a joke. The Japanese players who spent so much money to compete in Evo are ticked off, and rightfully so. I understand Lima and Zack teenagers and the crowd was rowdy, but the two acting the way they did disrespected Evo and pretty much killed the Smash 4 community.

Nintendo, if the Switch had cloud saves attached to a person's Nintendo account, more options to add friends, better voice chat options, YouTube, Netflix, and a web browser, I think people would be happy.

@WreckItRyan In regards to your first point, clone characters like Dr. Mario, Lucina, and Dark Pit in Smash 4 and the 6 clones in Melee didn't take spots away from other characters. They were added as extra characters and had no effect on the development and inclusion of any other characters.
