Re: Sonic Colors: Ultimate Has Received Another Update On Nintendo Switch

TheDragonDAFan

I just booted up the game to see what was fixed. The audio mixing is much better than what it used to be, I could finally complete the Asteroid Coaster Rival Rush without the game crashing, and the enemy falling speed was fixed. However, the volume of sound effects and music still cannot be separately toggled, the new soundtrack cannot be turned off, and the cutscenes on the Options Satellite still cannot be viewed in fullscreen. I hope these will be addressed in a future patch. The game is significantly better than how it launched, but that does not excuse Sega from launching such a broken product to begin with.

EDIT: The intro to Starlight Carnival Act 3 is still messed up too.

Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 13.1.0 Is Now Live - Adds The Switch Online Expansion Pack

TheDragonDAFan

I just checked how much Nintendo is going to charge me to switch from a standard membership to the expansion pass membership and it's $31.84. I'm not paying that much with what's currently available. I'll wait until it becomes a better deal or until my current membership is near expiration so I can get access to it for very little money.

EDIT: Just realized it says the discount will get smaller as time goes on. No freaking way am I getting this LOL.

Re: Switch Players Are Supposedly Encountering All Sorts Of Glitches In Sonic Colors Ultimate

TheDragonDAFan

The only glitches I've been running into consistently are Wisp music not playing and the Lightspeed Dash not working properly. I had the lighting break on me once, but that was fixed by closing the game and restarting it. While I'm having fun with the game, it's disappointing that my experience is being interrupted by glitches that weren't even in the Wii version. Edit: One major glitch I just ran into is that once you beat the Rival Rush level in Asteroid Coaster, the game crashes. It's impossible to get the dark boost cosmetic at this moment.

Re: Review: WWE 2K Battlegrounds - A Disappointingly Poor Wrestlefest

@carlos82 A lot of the people I've seen make these arguments regarding microtransactions don't seem to understand that microtransactions in these "fee-to-pay" games aren't a surface level issue, rather, they are baked into the game's design and gameplay loop. These companies don't put these opportunities to make extra cash in their games just to give people an "optional" way to unlock stuff, they want the player to get frustrated enough with the boring, repetitive grind and spend extra money to get what you want.

I thought this game could have been the proper return of the less simulation-based and more arcade-styled WWE game. I probably should have realized 2K was going to make this a grindy-microtransaction hellhole to make up for the potential lost sales of 2K21. This is a game I'd rather watch newLegacyInc destroy than actually play.

Re: Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Backers Hit With Customs Charges And Handling Fees

TheDragonDAFan

@SuperWeird The "post-Kickstarter" article that you copied says right above the quote that you copied that the money is going towards backer rewards, DLC, and stretch goals. The quote that you used from the "pre-Kickstarter" article is not a quote from the developer. It's from the writer of the article. If you go on the Kickstarter FAQ, in the first question it states, "With your support, we hope not only to bring The Wonderful 101 to a wider audience on a variety of platforms, but also to add some content that will enhance the experience even more! This campaign is your chance to empower us to pursue self-publishing and take our destinies into our own hands," which is saying they also needed the money to publish the games on Steam and PS4.
