@KAI_MIDORIKAWA that’s different, you didn’t have access to the Pokémon at lunch but they were coded into the game, this time they aren’t even coded in the game, and will never will be added

@JR150 the “dexters” as you call us don’t need to respond to this trend as it has nothing to do with the dex, all of us agree to the fact that Pokémon is an amazing franchise, that is the exact reason why we are angry that we see some of the best aspects of the game destroyed

Pokémon is an amazing series, but this is the first time I am not exited at all to a new generation, when I saw the game for the first time, I was over the roof, the wild area looked amazing, the dynamax looked cool, and the new Pokémon looked great, but then I started to see what it all cost, the dex, the mega, the Z.... and so many other features.... when the leaks came and flooded the internet and I learnt how bad the dexit really is and it felt like a punch in the face from game freak, worse than the “battle frontier Project a Has began” in ORAS

if I pay 60$ for the first ever Pokémon Game on a home console, I want the full experience of Pokémon, not half of it like it seems that we will get.... this is the priciest main line Pokémon game ever, so it should be the biggest and best one!

@Jack_Goetz yes, grasshopper belongs to gungho, but it looks like they tried to separate from them a while back
It seems less likely now but for a while it really looked like they try to leave gungho in order to move to Nintendo

Remember that they just filled bankruptcy

A company can come back from such a thing, and the story actually pushed some fans to buy copies of their games that they didn’t own yet to try and save the company, I am sure it wasn’t nearly enough but it might have help them slightly

If they worked on this game as well, they will get part of the money from sales (if they have percentage contract, if not it is different situation)

I still hope that Nintendo will just pick them up, 4 million dollars in debt means Nintendo can buy the debt for less than 4 million and actually acquiring the whole studio for another few millions (if not lees), that is basically getting a good studio for free

Nintendo should imo just pick them and Grasshopper manufacturers up and few others Small/medium sized talented studios with good IPs

It sold about a million since last report and we are heading towards the holiday season with Pokémon and Luigi’s mansion and the switch lite to push sales (along other things)

Many will pick up smash as a second game for their new switch

Anyway, so now Smash Ultimate took the crown as the best selling fighting game of all time

Nintendo have some of the most known IPs in the world, a theme park is a great way to earn money on those IPs, teaming up with Universal promises the rides will be great as well

@Baker1000 you are right at core, but 18 gyms, although very hype make no sense in term of playability

The maximum lvl in Pokémon is 100
18 gyms+ 1 or 2 league challenge means means we will have 19 or 20 big challenges which means we need to have a gym every about 5 lvl

I think the extra 10 gyms should be Battle Frontier style and be a challenge with set lvl and special challenge and if you complete all ten you can unlock another facility which will be the “minor League” witch will another huge facility with a special challenge

Ok good job Nintendo, now use this money to buy and save alpha dream

@NEStalgia 4.3 million dollars debt is quite small, game development cost much more than that usually

This is sad to hear, they have some talent and successes over the years and the their M&L bowser inside story remake was a solid game that didn’t succeed probably duo to the decline of the 3ds sales

They are an average size studio with a lot of support for Nintendo and their debt is quite small in big cooperation numbers
Nintendo should buy their debt (which usually cost much less than the debt itself) and add them to their studios, considering Sony and Microsoft are gearing up for next generation, Nintendo should probably do some of their own picking and this can be a cheap way to buy a talented studio that will easily earn its investment back
