Heh... the mom still doesn't get a bedroom lol
Guess mom went back to sleeping on the couch in this one, assuming that’s our house.
Wonder if that’s why they’re so eager to let their kids go on their Pokémon adventures.
@DanTheSausage
Like in Link to the Past where you live with your uncle in a one bed house.
Interesting to see how they've translated British culture into the home they designed there.
You know the sport place looks like the old mario wii teniss place.
I am indeed a sucker for concept art!
@StableInvadeel "Sweet! My totally responsible eleven-year-old is out of the house! Dibs!" Sinks onto the protagonist's bed and falls asleep
As a kid, I used to mentally explain this by the mom sleeping on a roll-away mat with blankets or something.
@DanTheSausage small...definitely inspired by British housing!
@DanTheSausage Also still no toilets in the Pokémon world.
Hmm like the intro of Mario power tennis seems not stolen..
Genuine question- I’m 41 and have NEVER played a Pokemon game.
Should I get this when it comes out! It looks good.
@Tyranexx before you know it, your bed smells of perfume and your switch profile has amassed 600 hours of playtime on YouTube.
@jarvismp If you've never played one before, this is looking like it'll be great. Most of the controversy about this is more to do with long time fans than newcomers.
@StableInvadeel And wait until both Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the new Cooking Mama are released. XD
@Tyranexx that's when the switch is mysteriously moved out of your room and connected to the main tv.
@jarvismp if you keep in mind it's an easy game, the story is not usually super deep, and that half of it's charm and appeal is within the creatures themselves and are still on board with all that, then yeah, go for it! You could wait a while for the reviews and demo, though (they won't release a demo before the games anymore, not after the last two were hacked and all new Pokémon were spoiled before release)
@dux they actually claimed that the post game will be big
and wishful thinking.... maybe it will be as hard as gen 4 or 1 and 2 and even harder (or at least not as easy as gen 6 and 7....)
@Tantani who claimed that and where? I haven't seen a thing about the post-game. And anyway, I wasn't talking about length, I was telling this person who never played a Pokémon game to measure expectations and be ready for what they'll encounter. I love Pokémon but I grew up with it, my views are very biased towards liking it. I kind of always will like a Pokémon game, so I'm trying to be objective for a newcomer.
@jarvismp there is always a first time ;D if I were you, I honestly buy it and try, Pokemon is a nice game even with the few cons (more or less) but in a whole it is soooo fun. It can be really easy but also like really hard if you want to play in competitions against other people. It can be really relaxing like strolling around and catching here or there new pokemon but can also get on your nerve, frustrating or even intense when you try to get a really rare one or even a legendary one. It is colourful and fun and made for children but there are often adult jokes hidden somewhere and it is always a nice surprise
@jarvismp
Jump right in! I’ve been playing since Gen 1 and they are my favourite games and I’ve played A LOT of games. Also, I really recommend getting into the battling scene (VGC) when you’ve finished the main story. It’s very fun with deep gameplay - imagine MtG but with Pokémon. Then go back and play the rest of the series from the start.
