Re: Hideki Kamiya Is Sick Of Fans Asking Him If Bayonetta 3 Has Been Cancelled

Souflee

@Kaleid-Stone what are you on dude? And what's with the first world *****?

Your post makes no sense, it doesn't take over 3 years to make a Bayonetta hame, they clearly mis-managed something with that one,

I played Bayonetta 2 like 6 years ago, on the Wii U, how long am I suppose to sit back and wait for this, either don't announce it, or update people, the same way you chose to do when you announced the game publicly, this is just bad buiseness...

Re: Chinese Nintendo Switch Packaging Appears Online Ahead of Release

Souflee

Nintendo's financial well being, is super important to me, as a consumer who can't find another supplier to deliver the same content besides Nintendo. They "get" videogames in a way other companies don't.

That said, Nintendo isn't struggling at the moment, and should boycott China with all that's happening there, also giving a part of your profits and consumers money to a Chinese company just for re-selling the product there and Nintendo isn't allowed to sell it's own product, on their own, should be reason enough to not do this...

Re: Review: SEGA AGES Gain Ground - A Commendable Failure, But A Failure Nonetheless

Souflee

Ah man, love this site so much, hate this review so bad, should've let me write it instead.

I don't know to what 80s arcade standards, you speak of, that this game hasn't met. I paid 20€ for the switch Capcom bundle, which had a good review on this site and many others, and it's filled with rubbish, games made to trick you into spending coins, repetitive, all the same gameplay...., anyone would be more well advised to download gain ground then for following the review of that mess of a bundle.

Gain Ground is pure arcade perfection, and the reason it has a cult following is the uniqueness of it's design. I still to this day play through the game regularly with my brother, which is the only other person I know that knows about it and likes it, it was our favorite game on the mighty mega drive as kids and is a bonding thing for us to play through it.

Gain Ground, is a beat em up with a twist. It offers refreshing perspective as it is a top down view, that you clear each stage vertically. By choosing the hard difficulty on the options menu, makes the game easier too, as you start with every single character in the game.

The sides of the screen have this rotating slots on which you can select a character, there's 20 different ones to choose from.

You either beat the level by killing all enemies or by making all the characters go through the exit, which is a yellow line at the end of each stage, also, on all the stages you can see them fully from the start since you play with the top perspective and they're designed to be cleared from the bottom up, vertically.

The characters in the game, and the enemies too, range from natives with spears and bows, to boomerangs, to futuristic ones with machine guns, grenades, rockets and missiles, you also have these knights that have magic powers such as creating hurricanes in the stage that spin all throughout the stage and kill enemies as they hit them. That said, the same applies to the stages and enemies, it will start in nature settings and evolve into futuristic ones. The choice of character will matter, as you'll need the guy that throws arrows or a guy that fires missiles to clear enemies that have higher ground, while machine guns and grenades and boomerangs will only defeat enemies on the same ground level as you.

This makes for a unique gameplay retro experience, and the games music, is absolutely amazing, comparable to Castlevania 4 on most memorable and sick tunes in videogames in that era.

Do your self a favor, if you've read all the way here, and go download Gain Ground, it really is special and one of a kind, the very best Genesis/Mega Drive game in my opinion.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Super Mario Game?

Souflee

Odyssey deserves all the love, still don't think it tops Galaxy 2, but its a question of taste, the 2D voting poll though, is too nostalgic, clearly NSM brothers U, was the most complete, 2D experience yet, you're all forgetting how good that game was, it just came out at a time where the 2D was saturated in the Mario Franchise

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Be a Single-Screen Experience

Souflee

Wonderfull 101, fatal frame and Pikmin 3 after the update, were the best 2 screen gameplay experiences on the U, thats just 3 games, the other good feature was off tv play, which is done right on the switch, I wont miss Maps and inventor as I always played with the pro controller

Re: Review: A Shadow's Tale (Wii)

Souflee

This and deadly creatures, were some of the most stylised and interesting experiences I had on the Wii, glad it's getting re-released and more people play it, the Wii had such an amazing library

Re: Pokémon GO Now Available In Italy, Spain and Portugal

Souflee

Been using the apk for two days, but glad it came out officially in Portugal, yesterday saw a lot of people playing it, I live in front of a big park, and I always walk my dog for 30-40 min three times a day, now I walk him until the incense runs out lolol

Someone took Souflee from me, its my NintendoId and my Nintendolife account, on Pokemon Go, had to settle for Soufl33

Re: Carnegie Mellon Professor Thinks Nintendo Is Working On A Fully-Mobile Virtual Reality Headset

Souflee

I think its very hard that it won't connect with a VR device, but don't think it will be the main focus or selling point. Really want to believe it will just be a damn good "normal" console with multi plat support, that connects with a handheld device.

The VR thing will be just as "big" as 3D is and was, which is just a neat feature nothing substantial or game changing. I will be disappointed if they turn out pushing the virtual reality angle for the NX, and they will be doomed lol

Re: A Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Is On the Way

Souflee

@Grumblevolcano That ballot thing, always looked lets say not "transparent" to begin with, I mean there was no rules per say or restrictions, or way of knowing what people were voting for, it all seemed kind random, I don't think Goku was out of limits at all, very well known character, its licensed like crazy, there was a dragonball fighting game announced coming to the 3DS at that time, seemed just as plausible as any other character,
it just feels to me like something that big they wouldn't just put whatever in there, they choose what suits them, putting characters in smash as always worked as a way for them to make the characters they have an invested interest on more known, fire emblem, kid icarus stuff like that, having Bayo 2 exclusive, and having her on smash, I think Bayo 3 exclusive for the NX sounds possible and likely. Nintendo is obviously trying to gather some exclusive franchises that appeal to a more "mature" audience, Xenoblade and Bayonetta, are here to stay as Nintendo series in my opinion.

Re: Monster Hunter Stories

Souflee

Just stumbled upon this today, on a random youtube upcoming exclusive 2016 3DS games. Guess this truly is the year of the RPG for the 3DS, there's so many of them, this looks really good, hope it gets localised, I'd buy it for sure.

Re: Ubisoft Is Trying To Quell Beyond Good And Evil 2 NX Rumours

Souflee

E3 HYPEEEEEEEEE!

really looks like Ninty, is gonna hit a home run with this system, I mean this gen still has years to go, if Nintendo has an up to par console and is getting all the main multi-plat games plus its own first party exclusives plus other third party exclusives like this, maybe Bayo 3 also, there's just no reason for buying any other system besides the NX

Re: A Wii U and 3DS Nintendo Direct Is On the Way

Souflee

Hoping for Eu release dates on Fire Emblem, StarFox and SMT x Fire Emblem,

also more gameplay footage on StarFox and Metroid Federation Prime, more surprises would be nice, but I don't see any unannounced games that would launch on these systems being showed tomorrow so close to e3 and NX reveal. They need to get major hype for that system, they'll keep things a secret until they're ready to talk about it. On that note, I predict Bayonetta 3 will be an NX launch tittle, with her being pushed in smash and the last one being exclusive to Nintendo, seems like a franchise to keep around, and its been well over a year since it launched, they can't be just helping out with Starfox.

Re: Europeans Will Be Able To Download Xenoblade Chronicles X's Data Packs Early Next Week

Souflee

truly hyped for this, don't care even if its reviews a 5, gonna be picking this up, fatal frame, devils third, triforce heroes, all the games I was looking for, turned out underwhelming, and just bad, this one and Fast Racing Neo, are sure bets. also the very last ones to come out in 2015 lol, the wait has been long, but its def coming to an end very soon, very excited for this one!

Re: Talking Point: The NX Hype Will Ramp Up as Nintendo Steps Into a Vital New Era

Souflee

Since the first NX rumours, of it being a united portable/home system, it just clicked with me, it makes so much sense, seeing as they announced a new home system, and in fact we knew that the 3DS was the one that made sense to be replaced, it sold well, its been around for a while, had several hardware revisions and a huge and great quality library of exclusive games, if the Wii U wasn't doing so bad sales wise, they would hold off on it a little longer, I guess thats why they made the New 3DS with faster processor, to keep it going until the Wii U went away, but since there is no point in keep pumping money on the U, they're just gonna come out with it, for Christmas next Year, and I believe this will be another industry trend set by Nintendo, to combine both portable and home system in one, makes so much sense, it will be better for them, as it will be cheaper to produce, market and develop games focusing only in one system and having access to two "markets", and it will be better for the consumer also, will get "two" systems for the price of one, more and cheaper games, and it will get the handheld in people homes without they actually wanting it, so it won't be about, I already own a smartphone and a home system, so even though I would like a dedicated portable system, I don't see it being worth it, you'll just have it in your house as you're buying the home system you want, and then to be able to take your home games out with you, is something that your phone can't do and that you don't want to do on your phone, unless your phone had buttons which you don't want it to have anyway.

I can totally see Sony stealing this concept for whatever replaces the PS4 as well, to be fair thats what they intended with the Vita at one point, even Microsoft might try to get into the handheld market the same way, 'cause it cost effective, just release a compatible portable device and you're there, but if Nintendo just nails the specs and has the multi platform games, it will make the competition irrelavant, this will be good, if I had money to spent I would buy a bunch of Nintendo stock, they'll be worth double of what they're now in a not so distant future...
