@Kienda what I've gathered from your original post is that fortnite is some kind of boogeyman, like the media portraits it. now I understand what you were saying. any game can ruin your life if you have no self control. cheeseburgers can do that too on the other hand

@Kienda it's confusing to me to hear such bad rhetoric form a gamer parent. the media has been saying stuff like that for years, it was mortal kombat, wow, call of duty etc.. fortnite is now the preferred target because of its popularity

@ricklongo I think so too. I like VI as well, but now a days I kind of find it hard to be sitting in front of the pc for those "one more turn" sessions. can't wait to get this, let's just hope it's not a nightmare in the technical department

@PorllM I have a pretty good gaming pc and when playing on a huge map with 12 civs, the load times are pretty bad.

I wonder about the games performance, didn't look that nice in the direct. makes me a bit worried about my beloved civ 6.

I'll pay because I play a lot online, but yeah, the cost benefit with their online is awful. when they showed the phone app looking all the same in the direct it was a sad sight to behold tbh. not to mention shoddy cloud saves. why didn't they prepare any announcements regarding rewards in the last nights direct? "we'll announce them soon." soon? soon is now nintendo!

@Octane I see what you're saying and agree for the most part, but in the example of tcgs, the main object is the playing the game and in order to play and get a broader experience, people are encouraged to buy cards. I remember collecting panini football stickers where you would end up with a bunch of duplicates no matter what. you don't know what you're buying at the end of the day

I hate lootboxes as much as the next guy and would be the last person to defend them but.... what about sticker packs? what about tcg packs? kinder surprise eggs? you don't know what's inside them either yet minors are the target market

I've played this game a lot on the switch and recently it's become unbearable to play it. textures not loading is by far the worst, it directly impacts the game, maybe even more worse than the horrible lag

can't wait to get this, I'm a huge diablo fan and the necromancer dlc kind of flew under my radar so this is a great opportunity to play it

I've only played the original, didn't know it even tried to be a franchise.

all digital downloads should cost the same, no matter the platform. there is no justifiable reason no to, just another example of how [removed] the "gaming industry" is as a whole. look at phone companies, if one company has higher cost of the same service as a competitor - guess what happens? they either lower the prices or run out business but for some reason that doesn't happen in the "gaming industry"

I think free to play games have their place in the world of gaming, but more often than not, we're starting to see microtransactions and other bad business practices that stem from f2p games pour into games with a fixed price, that's the problem

gave it a try on pc a while ago, I really liked it but didn't feel like pouring much time into it to get good at it. it's a nice alternative to smash, better than brawlout

wish they made mario party edition joycon, not just shove unsold splatoon ones

why should we as consumers/gamers care about nintendo's stocks? I'm not a shareholder, a board member or anything and I don't act like I understand how any of it works. nintendo has loads of cash and they're not going anywhere any time soon, so relax and buy what you feel like buying and skip what you don't like, just don't act like some arm chair stock broker

my experience with playing any fighting game online is that people spam 1 or 2 mmoves on their way to victory, a hand full of players actually play the game with skill
