Re: Video: Smash Bros. Characters Get Gruesome with Mortal Kombat X's 'X-Ray' Moves

SnuggleMon

@Mrrabbitpuncher
There is a difference between realistic violence and cartoon violence. Realistic violence as in Mortal Kombat ends with the opponent killed while Cartoon violence as in Super Smash Bros only defeats the enemy, but keeps them alive. That is what I meant when I said "I would not welcome violence in Super Smash Bros". Blood and gore does not fit in this cartoon world, it would only disturb the nature of these games.

@WaddleDeeWeegee Super Smash Bros is an Beat 'em Up game, that contains “Cartoon Violence, Comic Mischief and Mild Suggestive Themes". Now please don't tell me that you think that Super Smash Bros is on the same violence level as Mortal Kombat, because that would be ridiculous.

Re: Skylanders SuperChargers Melds Mario Kart, Star Fox And Wave Race, Coming To Wii U, Wii And 3DS This September

SnuggleMon

@BertoFlyingFox From the point of a collector, this is surely a treasure since the models are looking great (Disney a bit better than Skylanders, but that is my opinion and I love both), but would you like a digital version of each Skylander for download? I mean, that would be an alternate option and via menu, you could choose which character you like to use.

For me, collecting those are much fun since I only get 8 (with Dark and Light 10) characters for each element and only if they look interesting; mostly the female characters. This is a bit easier with Disney Infinity, because there are only a handful of characters I like so far (mostly female characters next to Cap Sparrow, Sully and Nova as only male characters).

Re: New Mega Man TV Series Blasting Its Way to Screens in... 2017

SnuggleMon

Too bad that I saw it already with subs. I find it sad that Captain N was so off with everything they tried to show, just like the Super Mario and Legend of Zelda shows. Even Super Mario World was not really a hit for me and better not talk about what they did with Kirby; I never understood why they included Tiff and Tuff, they never fit in in my eyes and stole the show away from Kirby.

Re: Skylanders SuperChargers Melds Mario Kart, Star Fox And Wave Race, Coming To Wii U, Wii And 3DS This September

SnuggleMon

At least we don't need to buy yet another portal. This would be horrible since there are already 2 different portals (Switch Force and Trap Team) and now this starter gives us another new portal. When I first saw this, I thought "Damn, not another portal forced onto us", but then I read the interview of Guha Bala and that there will be a Digital Portal Owners Pack of the game. So, I guess, I will first take a look at this series and decide whether or not I will be part of it.

Re: Splatoon Producer Inks Out Reasons For Lack Of Voice Chat And Staggered Content Roll-Out

SnuggleMon

I will never understand why voice chat is so important to so many people (I played CS without it and we had a lot of fun), but I won't judge anyone. Splatoon has no voice chat because the devs want it safe, so there we have it.
But to call the community of Splatoon "the most terrible and awful community" is a little bit exaggerated, @Yorumi. I can understand that this frustrates you, but this is how Splatoon is, whether you like it or not. Is not the community who made the game but Nintendo. If people like this game, let them be. There is always someone who opposes your opinion, but that gives you not the right to call them names or titles. I did this in my past and I regret this today.

@krakensoup I totally agree with you. I played once Halo 3 multiplayer and that was the last time I played a FPS Multiplayer game.
As I said above, we played CS back in the days and we had fun with it, even without voice chat.

Re: No FIFA For Nintendo Fans This Year, States EA

SnuggleMon

"[...]because FIFA 16 is shaping up to be one of the most dramatic editions of the game yet thanks to the welcome inclusion of female teams."

You're joking, right? Aside of the new female teams, which you can't play against male teams (I really would love to see that), this game is just a copy of Fifa 15. In fact, each Fifa is just the same just like CoD or BF. Why are people supporting this is beyond me, but whatever.

Re: Video: The Game Theorists Plot Out Mario's Timeline and Family Bloodline

SnuggleMon

Sorry, but his analyses are garbage. In "Mario is Mental" he laments how brutal Mario is and how much he hates Luigi, twisting facts upside-down without asking back to developers, who should KNOW their characters. Seriously, this is ridiculous and should not taken seriously.

@kevkeepsplaying I wouldn't say that you can't put a timeline in games, but I agree that there is no timeline in Mario games. I could imagine that their could be one in Legend of Zelda, but then again... I actually don't care. But I disagree that this guy is funny. He is annoying... very annoying.

Re: Review: Splatoon (Wii U)

SnuggleMon

Why are you reviewing a demo of a game? This is something I don't understand, this review is useless because so much can change and we still don't know much about the single player mode. I wish, you guys, would had waited until the game was out and then reviewed it. This just gives me the feeling that you just want to pull attention to your website.

Re: Interview: Nintendo of America's Damon Baker on the Brave New World of Humble Nindie Bundle

SnuggleMon

@MarioPhD This is why we need a method to enter foreign Eshops to get involved into such events. In the age of the internet, it should no longer be a problem, no matter where you live and where you want to buy a game. The possibility to choose the customer to buy wherever he/she wants, must be given. I agree that importing games back in the 80s was a hazel, but now that the world is connected, this kind of blockade must vanish. It only hinders customers from getting what they like to have and no one can tell one what they can or can't do as long as they don't go illegal or harmful ways for the community in which he/she lives. Heck, even our laws in Europe Germany allows us to import games, that are forbidden from the law; we can buy and keep them, but they are not allowed to be sold in public or shown.

Re: Humble Bundle Issues Official Statement About Region-Locked Nintendo Promotion

SnuggleMon

Ahm... don't they know Nintendo? Because if they would, they should know that Nintendo has a region lock feature unlike Sony and Microsoft (who only allow devs to use to region lock their games and not their consoles). But this is exactly what buzzes me about Nintendo since the event of the Mighty Gunstrike demo and some other games, which never came to Europe. This damn region lock is no good thing for anyone... well, Nintendo believes that it helps developers to get their share for the game in their countries, but they hurt people in their way of getting games as they want it. Importing games should NEVER be an obstacle or hinder people, because it only has the effect that those people will drop the Nintendo console and go to the rival company. This is why I so DAMN MUCH HOPE that the next Nintendo console will be finally region free (just like the Gameboy or the DS was). Sure, region free consoles are a magnet for pirated games like on the DS, but this is a matter that Nintendo has to solve and not damn the player to one REGION. There were pirated games before and there will be pirated games in the future, but to ban people from other regions to prevent this is not an option. But I digress.

This is again a poor example why things like Humble Bundle does not fit with Nintendo. I agree that we can't get some games on Stream here in Europe like in NA (censored or forbidden), but Steam allows to share gift codes, so that people form Europe could play the NA version. This is not possible with Nintendo and that is the reason why people so mad with Nintendo. Again, I really... REALLY hope that Nintendo will change this with NX and let us choose to buy the games WE want and not force us to follow the same region we live in. We are connected through the internet worldwide, why can't we go and choose where we want to buy a game? I think, it is time to break down this border and unite gamers from all over the world to let them play what they like to play. Let them allow to buy games from NA region, from EU region or J Region... but let them choose their own free way.

And yes, even though I said (and agree) that I have already most of the games and it would not pay off for me to buy this bundle, I'm sure that many EU gamers would love to do so. But this is so disappointing and needs to be changed for the future, because it can't go on like this.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Gets a Wii U Stretch Goal

SnuggleMon

@Tazcat2011 That was maybe the biggest sign for me to say "Nope... that's too risky for me". Besides, what do we know about Armature Studio? Will they deliver a good port or will they suffer and fail like the guys from Project Cars?

@BinaryFragger It is good to see that some people have some faith into Kickstarter. Heck, I supported games as well like Shantae, Mighty No 9 or Pier Solar. But I knew that those people would deliver. Koji is just like Keiji a business guy, who wants to make a game with the money of others and since Keiji was so successful with MN9, Koji believes that he can do the same and... yes. It got fond. But this 3 mil Wii U thing bothers me pretty much and holds me away from backing the project because we all know what could happen when we look at Project Cars. People got too much, promised the heaven and later landed on their noses and had to crawl toward us only to say that they can't do it on Wii U. I have the bad feeling that this could happen here as well, that people overtook themselves and later say "Sorry, but we can't do it".

@hiptanaka No, I don't take back what I said, because this is just a poor excuse to get more and more money for this project and later they say "Sorry, but it is not possible to make on the Wii U". This is just like Keiji tried to do with the extra kickstarters for voice and whatsoever else. I stay away from this like a cat from poison and will watch what this will bring.

Re: Hands On: Disney Infinity Toy Box 3.0 Brings A Fresh Mario Kart Rival To Wii U

SnuggleMon

@Nintendian It would be a difficult task since Nintendo and Disney are from different countries. And even if, I won't see Mickey in Brawl. He just don't fit in it just like Donald and all the others wouldn't in a Mario Game or Mario Kart. Don't know why, it is just bizarre for me. I rather have them both separate than as one big company. That said, is there not a rule how big a company can get? Imagine how big and powerful a combined company of Disney and Nintendo would be and how strong their monopole would be. Gives me a creepy feeling when I think about it, but then again, every big company gives me a creepy feeling.

Re: Feature: The Full Story Behind Star Fox 2, Nintendo's Most Famous Cancellation

SnuggleMon

@Damo True, but if you look at Star Fox Command, that game was a train wreck and the multiple storyline just painful. A simple story would have been nice, but yeah... or it just wasn't my cup of tea, who knows. Fact is, it was a bad game in my eyes.

@Yomerodes That doesn't matter. Even Sony and Nintendo are friends. It is us, who make them to enemies. Surely, they work in different companies and try to pull off their customers for themselves, but that does not mean, that they can sit together and drink some tea. In fact, it only shows that we could learn something from them instead of fighting each other.

Re: Wii U Stretch Goal Seemingly Teased for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

SnuggleMon

@minotaurgamer The problem with this is, that Capcom proudly proclaims that they haven't given up the Blue Bomber. That is the reason why people are pissed at Capcom. They can't say "Look, guys. We have no money to make new Megaman games, it is over. Sorry, but that's reality." No, they tease fans with this crap and are surprise why fans are mad at them. This is why we cling to games like Mighty No 9, because it gives us something, that reminds us to this once golden time, and if this might be a niche game, so be it. You don't have to agree with us. Be happy about your favored games, but let us be happy to support what we think we want to support. It is our money, not yours. But I agree with you, the 3m mark will not be reached. The hype for this is not as strong as with other games but they will try to milk the backers as much as possible, just as in Might No 9, where even I said "that's enough, it went out of control".

@GraveLordXD Don't ask me, I have no idea. According to the text, it says:

>>A physical copy of the game for XBOX ONE, PS4, or STEAM (PC/Mac/Linux). Includes exclusive backer-only content and a special Kickstarter-exclusive slipcase!<<

It is pretty wage to say if they will make one later for normal customers or not. Thing is, if you pledge for this, you will get a physical version of it. But I see no limitation of backers, so I guess you have time until the project ends. Again, better ask someone else before you step into action.

Re: Wii U Stretch Goal Seemingly Teased for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

SnuggleMon

@proffrink1986 Sorry to burst your bubble, but Mighty No 9 was mostly supported by Megaman fans from all possible platforms. They (including me) wanted to see a new Megaman game, that Capcom denied us. This, however, is something completely different. No one asked for this. It just appeared and because it was not given for a Wii U port, non of the people saw a need to support it. Far from it, I see it as a bad taste to grab so deep into the pockets of the Nintendo fans just to make a port. This is an insult for a game that no one asked or even heard before unlike Mighty No 9.

Re: Unofficial Metroid Prequel Uses The Original NES Hardware To Impressive Effect

SnuggleMon

I can imagine where this goes:

Fanboy/girl is pissed about Nintendo and Other M, because this is not HER Samus and the gameplay was waaaaay too easy for him/her. So (s)he makes her/his own game, to prove the world that (s)he can do better games than someone company, that lives from making games. Alright, let's check the check list:

1. No map, because only a noob uses the map. HARDCORE gamer can navigate by their instincts.
2. The story... pardon me? Stories only drag the game, so more shooting and killing, after all, Samus is a BADASS bounty hunter!
3. Huge bosses, that can kill you with one hit, that said, if you can manage it to get to them because the levels are so damn HARD since REAL GAMER can play those kaizo levels with a blindfold. Forget those easy games because we're HARDCORE.

Yeaaaah... I won't play this, that's for sure.

But hey, those are my two coins. Do whatever you like =)

Re: Editorial: The eShop's Pricing Dilemma is the Fault of Many, But Damages Creativity and Risk Taking

SnuggleMon

Yeah, blame the customers for not having the money and support for our AWESOME GAMES! Ever thought that people don't like the games or don't want to buy full priced games because they can't AFFORD them? Yes, people with small income are given nowadays and don't come and say "then why are you buying a console in the first place if you don't have the money for full priced games?" Because everyone can buy WHATEVER they want. Blaming them, like in this article, does NOTHING. Far from it, it only fuels the fire, which means people continue or buy more used games or cheaper games.

Re: Exclusive: eShop Publishers Are Dropping Releases In Germany Due To Low Sales And Cost Of USK Rating

SnuggleMon

Just for this reason, I wish we could have an international Eshop, where everyone can buy whatever they want, but laws and politicians are against this, because "they want to protect the youth from violence"... as if one can't see enough violence in the freaking news or on the internet, since none of the parents gives a damn what their kids are doing. Honestly, this is why we need region free systems, so that customers can go wherever they want to get the stuff the want and not regulations like the USK, that pulls the money out of the devs pocket and later blames the game for being "too violent". Heck, what comes next? Soccer is too violent? Pencils are possible weapons? You need a weapon license for your hands because you could use them for killing someone? The world is going insane and it gets worse from year to year. Forget Germany and the USK, because they do more damage to video games than every other country (expect from Australia) and yes, I can say this because I live in Germany and suffer from this damn law.

Re: Square Enix Pushes Back Its E3 Press Conference to Avoid Nintendo Clash

SnuggleMon

@Scarhino89 I believe that Mobile Games will be unavoidable since Nintendo said that they will make games from the main franchises for the mobile market.

But let's break it down what could interest me the most:

Persona 5, Just Cause 3, LEGO Jurassic World, Mario Maker, Star Fox U, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Yoshi's Wooly World.

Capcom, Microsoft and Ubisoft won't make the cut, since they have nothing to offer for me at all. The rest of the E3 show? Will see what it will offer.

Re: Mobile Is Konami's Future, According To President Hideki Hayakawa

SnuggleMon

Too many companies are blinded by the idea of making the big buck with mobile games, but they forget that the mobile games market is already flooded with horrible cheap little games, which have no quality or effort. It is a second "Atari Empire" that waits to break down and crash the entire mobile games market. Konami, however, has a different goal in mind; the work hard to make gambling legal in Japan and making games on smart phones is one way to introduce people to gambling or to teach kids slowly how "fun" gambling is. We saw so many developers go bankrupt during the last years, I really believe that this time it is Konami, that will lose the floor under their feet and vanish just like THQ and Hudson.

But will I cry a tear for them? No, because they wanted this and now they got it. Oh well, time for a new developer to shine.

Re: Former Castlevania Producer Koji Igarashi's Kickstarter Launches, But Won't Come To Nintendo Consoles

SnuggleMon

@TwilightAngel the reason why people here including me won't support this game, is because the core fans of Castlevania are alienated with Koji's choice for the simple reason that the Wii U is "not cool enough" for his game. I brought up the Xbox fans and PS4 fans, because they bragged for the same reason about Bayonetta 2, but compare to this game, Bayonetta 2 was supported by Nintendo themselves. This game, however, won't come out for the Wii U and therefore I see no reason why I should support it at all and please spare me the speech of "but it comes out for the PC and maybe for the Wii U"... No, the pc is not a consolation for that! The don't want to support the Wii, fine by me. I don't have a PS4 (because there is nothing that interests me) and I don't have an Xbox One (because I started to dislike Microsoft since the reveal of the Xbox One). And now I am pathetic and full of lies? No, you are pathetic because you categorize people without knowing why their doing what their doing. THAT is pathetic.

And I'm aware that Lords of Shadows where not on the Wii or Wii U, but then again, the two games were awful enough, so there is no need for that on the Wii U. But that is MY OPINION.
