Re: Nintendo "Currently Investigating" The Idea Of A Region-Free NX

SnuggleMon

I wonder, but maybe, Nintendo will go the same way as Steam. Like this, the region lock could go away but only the censoring will happen, which you can easily avoid by gift codes (if this is still possible at Steam) or another ID. This would mean a worldwide start for games and even easier access to them when it comes to patches and DLCs.

SnuggleMon

Please in the future use less profanity (even if you are trying to make a point), after I found 5+ uses I just deleted the whole thing.

-Amiibo

Edit: Sorry, Amiibo... won't happen again. @Quorthon, don't tell me what sexism is, because I know this too well if you were able to read my former post. You are so much off the topic as you could think this is, but I'm not going to rewrite the whole post again.

Feel free to live in your fantasy world with all the other wannebe feminists as you like, but stop poisoning the well from which you drink.
I'm done here.

Re: Video: Did You Know Gaming? Tackles Metroid Prime, Dread and a Cancelled 3DS Entry

SnuggleMon

@Quorthon I refuse to understand for so many reasons. Other M was so often debated as for what it could stand and saying that "it is sexist to show Samus like this" is just ridiculous. She is a woman, she has an athletic body and yes, her zero suit is skintight. It is really like a broken record to hear all this. You see, there are woman actually, who look equal like this. Do we say "get fat and ugly" to them? No. Why? Because it would be retarded and envy. The whole body shaming thing is insane on believe, but only one aspect of why people hate Other M. The other one is, that Samus has to follow orders... from a man. Honestly, I when I heard this, I couldn't believe how stupid people are, because it seemed like they have jack knowledge on how a military squad works, and to clear things, Samus joined Adam's squad because she wanted to help him. And that she has feeling for him, yeah... that is sexist as well. I know, I could go on and one, but I'm getting really tired of this nonsense, so I say, if people see this as sexist, people will see other things like the Protein World commercial as sexist as well, which it isn't. But alas, people will always see things, because this is something that is coded in our genes... sadly. As for me, I never bothered how Samus looked because I liked her as a hero and that she showed emotions was amazing for me, because at that point, I saw that she was only a mere mortal and not a mindless killer.

But those are my two coins. Make whatever you want with it.

Re: Hacker Produces Region Free Exploit for Current New Nintendo 3DS System Version

SnuggleMon

@Spoony_Tech The thing is, that some games never appear in other countries do to their laws or the company feels that the IP could not sale as good as elsewhere. If a console is region free, you can go somewhere else and get the game without these problems. I had this problem when Splatterhouse for the PS3 came out and it was not allowed here in Germany. It was lucky that the PS3 was region free, otherwise I could never get it (or buy another console).

Re: Rumour: Koji Igarashi's Castlevania Successor Could Rise From The Grave This Week

SnuggleMon

I think, I can understand their motives somehow; they try to go new ways and want to make new IPs, which is too risky for the companies as they demand the same IP over and over again, since this is safer for them. This is why Kojima and all the other go their own ways, to fulfill their dream of making new stories and games they like, no matter if this will hit the spot or not. And to be frank, I welcome this. Sometimes, a series was over long time ago and a new IP with an equal quality would be great, but as I said, companies only do this on less occasions because they see this kind of change as too risky for them in case that players won't like or buy it. I will look forward this and hope that Koji will be able to make his dream real.

Re: Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phenomenon, and Nintendo Must Push It For Wii U

SnuggleMon

@Quorthon I have no idea who Jay Novella is, but for the love of it, let's do it differently, shall we?

"Can Nintendo seize LEGO dominance to replicate the Wii era of Just Dance? No."
To compare Just Dance with Lego Games is like comparing Apples with Eggs. The one game has a different consumer circle than the other and therefore, it is ridiculous to compare them.

"Why the hell would Nintendo become the go-to place for Lego games? This is appearing on all consoles, and since both the PS4 and XBO have seriously outpaced sales of the Wii U, it's pretty obvious that these games will sell better on those platforms."
When was Nintendo ever a platform only for Lego games? Back in the days, we had Lego Games on the PSX and N64. It is less a question of sales, but variety; more platforms to sell products, whether or not the one sells more than the other one.

"On top of that, add-on content or extra features for Lego games tend to end up being cut for the Nintendo versions. For that matter, Lego City Undercover, while it did well on the Wii U itself, as a whole, has reportedly performed poorly for a Lego game."
How does Undercover perform poorly unlike other Lego Games? Was the game unplayable? Or was this extra content seriously necessary for the game itself? If not, then the game was not poorly but playable. Extra content does not change a game when the core mechanics are given.

"Given Nintendo's recent history of "let's not care about 3rd parties or selling our hardware," I don't see why they'd step in on this. This feels like pretty wild speculation."
As I said before, for variety they chose to publish their games on several platforms to reach more costumers. It would be a mistake to let out one, where possible costumers are available, no matter how much you sell.

Re: Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phenomenon, and Nintendo Must Push It For Wii U

SnuggleMon

@Yorumi Maybe I went too far with my first comment, but this article is anything else than competent. People nowadays just pull things through the mud and create misinterpretation and fearmongering. The same thing which Kotaku and Polygon does and I'm simply sick of it. I'm sorry when I lost control over my rage, but this kind of journalism is insane nowadays. Who can you trust anyway?

Re: Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phenomenon, and Nintendo Must Push It For Wii U

SnuggleMon

@Moshugan You're right, it wasn't bad... it was garbage. Honestly, this website had so many BAD articles lately, that you have to wonder if those people really research the topics!

@Quorthon Oh yeah, but Sony and Microsoft are so much better, huh? Yeah, those are the typical family consoles of the new era. How could I be so blind? With all their violent games and copy-paste crap. And speaking of those cut elements on the Wii U games. Were the games unplayable? No? Then there is no problem with that.

Re: Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phenomenon, and Nintendo Must Push It For Wii U

SnuggleMon

@rjejr Lego was always expensive and like you said, people pay the price for it, because they are quality products. It is not as unusual to see that the starter pack is 99 bucks.

@WalupeachyTime Of course you can buy DI2 and STT for 100 bucks, because they got a drastic cut. When I bought STT, I paid 80 bucks for it, so yeah, only 20 cheaper than Lego, but the starter is just coming out and next to the fact that you can ACTUALLY make yourself a portal, is for Lego fans phenomenal. This offers so MANY new possibilities to change your portal as you like by using Lego parts. Try this with DI or STT. We needed almost always a new portal with Skylanders, maybe Lego is changing this, which would be great.

Re: Reaction: LEGO Dimensions Could be a Sales Phenomenon, and Nintendo Must Push It For Wii U

SnuggleMon

Thomas, stop making such ridiculous article and use your brain for once. Lego sells itself for what it is. Nintendo does not need to do a thing to promote it. Honestly, some articles here are almost gossip rag quality!

@Harry_Legs You are such a fail troll and shame for every troll on the internet!

@rjejr Just because Lego has no deals with Nintendo, does not mean that the game will suffer. Far from it, it can spawn new possibilities, but there is only one solution to your problems: Wait and see what the future brings. Do your brain a favor and don't give it a cramp.

Re: Former Rare Devs Playtonic Want Donkey Kong Country Villain K. Rool In Super Smash Bros.

SnuggleMon

But I want Candy Kong =P

Seriously, though, this is crazy what happens here. I mean, even if we get a new chara for SSBU, it will take months for them to make the chara and then, we have to pay for it. In the end, there will be a lot of people, who will say "THAT IS NOT THE CHARA I WANTED!!!! F U NINTENDO" and people will cry even more and drama will drown the whole crap.

So... I have the feeling that this is end REALLY BADLY!

Re: Feature: A Day in The Future Life of a Nintendo Gamer

SnuggleMon

@StarDust4Ever No, I meant the picture. The poor Gameboy T-T
I will get the NX, no matter what it is, since I collect Nintendo consoles (only need a GBA, then I have them all). I actually tried Pokemon Shuffle, but it is not such a good game and paying for this is a waste of money. I rather get the upcoming Street Pass Zombie game because I travel much and meet many people at train stations. From the last trip I had more than 20 visitors ^u^

But, I'm open for new options, since this is the way video games and handheld games go. One has to adapt oneself or one will lose the connection. Heck, I had this problem when I got a smartphone after so many years using a normal cell phone. I could see the smart phone / tab phone/ tablet as helping device for consoles to display stuff, but only if the player wants this and it is not mandatory.

Re: Wii U Shooter Splatoon Makes EDGE Magazine's Cover

SnuggleMon

I hardly doubt that Nintendo will reinvent the multiplayer shooter genre, but just add a fun shooter without violence and guts instead. But to say that this game lives alone from its multiplayer segment it stupid anyway, for it has a singleplayer option as well, which I welcome very much, since I'm not the biggest fan of multiplayer games.

Re: Review: Mario Party 10 (Wii U)

SnuggleMon

This is the reason why I don't read reviews. It gives you a bad taste, whether or not the game is good or bad. It makes you biased.

My last Mario Party game was 8. I first saw it in a Demo on a video game channel on tv and was hooked from the very moment I saw it. I play the game even today because I love how it is build up and presented (the festival theme and game show is simply great).

When I heard that MP10 is out, I ordered a copy without getting any information about it. Today, it arrived and I played it for one hour. The result is this...

I love this game. I like the car and the fact that you travel together. This puts you into a complete new situation as you were in the earlier games. You never know where you will end up since all player can change the course and crash your plans, which I love so much. Another great point is, that a set of game is shorter than in older games. I prefer this over the other games by far.

But what I most liked was Amiibo Party. The look of the board and all the events like changing part of the board were really impressive. After all, I had a lot of fun with MP10 and I will play it as much as possible. For me, this was a great new title.

But I also understand why people are pissed. They liked the old way the game was made as individuals. It kind of reminds me to a discussion I had with a friend, who liked the game Outcast (I'm sure you heard about the game). He said, that this game is how a survival horror game should be and I disagreed because the game gave you only one option to "survive", which is not true survival. But there is one possibility, as some people already mentioned; an option to choose what kind of game you like to play. All in all, I can only say, that I like MP10 pretty much and I can only recommend the game to everyone who likes the series.

And yes, online play is in my eyes overrated, but those are my two coins.

Re: Game Freak's GBA Title Drill Dozer Rated By The Australian Classification Board

SnuggleMon

@Poketendo That is because you never played the japanese version. They made the US and EU version more difficult because the though it would be too easy for us.

@vitalemrecords The worst game was, is and still is Sonic Labyrinth on GameGear. There is no game worse than this one. Bayou Billy is maybe cheesy, but not bad. I would buy a VC version or even the original game if I had the luck.

@Yasume The mentioned the 3DS Shop.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Turns to Classics, DLC and amiibo to Keep Fans Hooked

SnuggleMon

Seriously, most of the comments I read here could come from unbehaved children, who cry because they don't get the toys they want. Honestly, how old are you, guys? This behavior and the article are ridiculous. I mean, those costume DLCs are nothing else than cosmetic items, which are given in any common MMORPG nowadays. It would be bad if those items would give advantages. And about the lack of games or postponed release dates... this is not the first time, yet you act like it is. Honestly, get a grip, will ya?
