I mean, one of the reasons people pirate is because DRM makes it difficult to play games legitimately sometimes. This tool... is just part of the problem.
Just relax, legitimate homebrewers. Wait for the free one that will come out in the next year or so.
Well dang, that explains why Bethesda leaves gamebreaking launch-day bugs in games like Skyrim, even including them in special editions seven years later. The bugs are their own little "watermark" to make sure nobody's copying them.
And hey, this wouldn't be the first time Warner Bros. has stolen stuff. Remember when they put Nyan Cat in Scribblenauts without the permission of its creator?
I actually picked up Super Butoden at a convention a while back (with what I think are two sequels to it?) and... it's not that great.
The controls and gameplay are pretty obtuse, but I seem to remember this same system getting a lot more refined in Hyper Dimension. So... why not pack in that one? It's arguably a lot more sought after since its special chips make it un-flash cart-able.
But I'd be lying if I said this didn't make me consider a pre-order. I already want this game.
I've honestly never thought I needed voice chat for Splatoon. The matches go so fast, and you're constantly being reshuffled amongst teams that except for shouting out on-the-moment commands, you really don't have time for any kind of strategy building.
Now, if I had three friends to do League Mode with, that would be a different story...
@Gs69 Whoa, whoa, whoa, did you seriously just suggest Beats were an alternative to overpriced headsets? We're thinking the same Beats here, right? Beats, the $20 headphones that cost $200 thanks to that "b" on the side of them?
I noticed too that when the Switch is in sleep mode and the game it still running, the things in the game keep ticking along. I turned it back on the morning after my first night playing it, only to notice all my meters were in the red and my wasteland explorer had died with no one to call him back home.
That, and the tutorial is the barest bones as you get. It tells you a few ways to get around the bunker, but that's it. Then it gives you tips which may or may not be relevant at the time, so you'll forget about them until the time you need them.
I dunno. I haven't had a good time with this so far. Maybe, as the review says, this experience is better tailored to the tablet.
I've never really gotten into SNK's pre-NeoGeo stuff, (wasn't there also a collection of these on PSP?) But I've only ever really played the Famicom versions which ports were not that kind to.
Not sure if I'd pre-order something like this, but maybe I'll pick it up on sale in a few months.
I only played a bit of the early access alpha on PS4. (You know, the one where Epic banned people who found bugs in it?) But I guess I have an account made for it. Crap. Guess I'll have to use my other email or something.
I'm far from being sold on this, but I'm ultimately curious exactly where they're going with this.
It's just baffling to me that the last thing The Pokemon Company seems to want to do is put a full mainline series game on a console that might not always be a portable console. They always gotta layup and give us Pokemon Lite. (I'm looking at you, Colosseum and XD)
Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is clickbait. This isn’t a guide at all. It’s a checklist much like the one’s you’d find in the back of the strategy guides of old. But since each location is listed, it’ll come up pretty high on the search engine, so NL gets clicks, and in turn, ads, for little to no effort.
@TheMongrelCat @Bod2019 and everybody else...
I think he meant an NES version of the Street Fighter 1. Which explains why that background looks a lot like Sagat's stage from that game, and those early sprites look like Ryu and Sagat.
Eagerly awaiting the end of the work day so I can pick this up!
But I'm curious... what did Capcom wind up doing about the complaints people had about them only using the Western versions of the games (with Vega being M. Bison, M. Bison being Balrog, etc.). Did they throw in a region switch?
Even though I'm pretty sure I own all of the games included, (some of them multiple times) I'm still eagerly awaiting Street Fighter Anniversary Collection.
Maybe it's just being able to take them all on the go in one thumbnail-sized card. The online play will be nice, which if USF2 is anything to go by, there will always be someone to fight.
I played the first one, thoroughly enjoyed it, but lost all my progress after my WiiU got stolen. I missed out on the 3DS one, so this kinda seems like a good one to start back up on.
Hyrule Warriors for me! I'd be all over Baseball Stars Professional if I didn't already have the original MVS cart... and in my opinion, Baseball Stars 2 is a better game all around.
It seems the last thing Nintendo wants to greenlight at this point is another F-Zero game.
Don't they realize that the only game the StarFox ""fans"" want is StarFox 64?
(I, myself, am open to change, however, and I'll give this one a go if it turns out good.)
Pretty dang awesome but no way is this going to get a release here. Sadly, while Jump owns those properties in Japan, dozens of companies own them in the US/UK. Same reason we didn't get Jump Ultimate Stars on DS (though it's a very easy import)
I'm a retro arcade fan, but I have no nostalgia for this one. I'm also not the biggest football guy, so... maybe if I have literally nothing else I want to spend my eShop money on.
I actually enjoyed Miitomo... for about a month or two. Thing is, when your friends stopped playing that game, there's very little life or reason for you to continue as well.
That said, I've always found a great connection to my Mii as an avatar. I use it as my user icon on Switch, and I do hope that this isn't the end of getting to use them in games and the like. (Tomodachi Life/Collection sequel, anyone?)
Honestly, this works fine for me. I've got a great audio setup to take audio from my Switch and load it into my more robust DAWs on my computer. The Namco Custom30 module is almost reason enough to grab it!
@Dang69 If their recent Street Fighter anniversary re-release carts are anything to go by, then they are the exact same game. I don't think they went through the trouble of compiling a new rom, especially since Capcom's tools they used for making those games no longer work on new computers.
Still, even if they were to make changes to it for whatever reason, they would be testing it on original hardware. Therefore, the FPGA clones should be just fine. The emulator boxes, maybe not.
@Dang69 I think you might be mistaken. These aren't multicarts. They're just that one game.
(Also I believe the NT, Super NT, etc. are probably okay with running them even if they were multicarts since it's an FPGA simulating the actual parts of the original consoles. Even so, if there is a problem, Kevtris will get on that and throw a patch out ASAP.)
Interesting concept! Even if the answer is obviously Leonardo.
Good to see Europe is getting in on the fun too, and not getting hilariously shafted again with something like "Which one of Marc Summers buttcheeks is better?" in honor of the Double Dare reboot. (And just make the slime green for everyone!)
KORG Gadget immediately draws my attention. I've heard good things about their software on DS and the like, but with a nice big screen this could be great for making music on the go.
That's great, but I think Amazon has been sending me LABO replacement parts free with my purchase of anything for a few years now.
(Yes I get this is mainly for the reflective tape and string.)
@Incarta Especially on Sundays, a lot of us are at church around those times. I could see something like maybe 10am to 6pm, or even a bit later since the sun doesn't set till 8pm these days.
@Incarta That would be about 4am to 7am here, so I'm pretty sure the hours were different. But I didn't know it was limited to three freaking hours! That's not Community Day, that's practically Community Happy Hour!

@TheMongrelCat Did you know that U.S. Gold also published a terrible, unofficial sequel to the original Street Fighter? Meet Human Killing Machine...
Re: We Almost Had Street Fighter On The NES But The Project Was Cancelled
@Magrane

I was thinking it's Birdie. Or an early version of the rework they made of him for the Alpha series. He uses chains in some of his attacks.

The latest version of ePSXe works okay with its own BIOS simulation. The games don't work 100% this way though.
Re: The Very First Guilty Gear Will Bring Heaven, Hell And Rock To Nintendo Switch
@Menchi187
Exactly. If it's your own personal ISO rip, emulation is fine.
There's also the matter of people illegally selling other people's emulators (coughcoughretron5coughcough) but that's a whole 'nother ball of phlegm.
