You may well be aware that a little thing called 'E3' is happening next week - a premier trading event where the biggest names in the video game world host presentations of the biggest titles we can expect to see in the coming months. Alongside Nintendo's main presentation, the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018, several games will be on display for attendees to play.
Slightly surprisingly, one of those titles (or two, in a way) is Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. Despite only being officially revealed last week, Nintendo has announced that E3 attendees will be able to get some hands-on time with the games at the Nintendo booth. Whether this may lead to more snippets of information being revealed about the new titles remains to be seen, but it'll be interesting to get hands-on impressions before the launch in November.
As a reminder, players will also get to experience the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Switch which is set to be making a grand appearance during the main showcase, although a reservation is required to play this one. If you're attending the show and want to get your hands on the new Smash, make sure to check out this FAQ which has all the info you'll need.
Are you feeling the E3 hype yet? Are you lucky enough to be attending this year? Share your thoughts with us in the lovely comment section below.

I figured it would be, but nice to hear confirmation.
Still don't exactly know what to think about these games especially as a long time fan of the series. It could be great but it could just as easily be horrible. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Good! Between people being able to play the games at E3, Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 and Treehouse Live it should become a lot clearer how much of a departure from the previous games this is.
That's good news! Hopefully we get a demo on the eShop sometime, after all it's not like they have to worry about people datamining for new Pokemon...well except the one they teased us about.
@Executer66 I would agree with you, but the knowledge that actual core games are coming next year put me at ease about this. Now, I'm excited for these and hope that this new direction brings in a lot of new Pokémon fans who want to try the core games after playing this.
Eevee in SSB confirmed?
I'm not sure of Eevee's power's in game but s/he does have 8 evolutions. that alone should make her worthy of inclusion.

So excited to go to E3 in person next week!
What ?!
Wow... can't wait for E3 2018.
Nice. I’m looking forward to more details on gameplay. Have they mentioned if there’s gyms or the elite four or any of that yet?
@Arehexes No, they're considering both Let's Go and Gen 8 as main series. So kind of like how Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario Odyssey are both mainline 3D Mario games but are different in significant ways.
@AG_Awesome It's based on Pokémon Yellow so I don't think there's a chance there won't be. The trailer also showed Pewter City which seems to have its gym intact.
@Late
That’s what I’m hoping. If it’s a remake of yellow but with some gameplay adjustments (no more random battles) and basic streamlining of everything I’m 100% sold. Im curious to see how they’ll deal with getting rid of the HMs and stuff like that too. Supposing they keep the storyline and journey progression the same as the original.
I know there is a lot of hate for the more casual split on the series, but honestly I think this is a perfect way to revisit the OG games without the pressure of catching all 800 pokemon lmao.
Nice. looking forward to seeing more.
I'm far from being sold on this, but I'm ultimately curious exactly where they're going with this.
It's just baffling to me that the last thing The Pokemon Company seems to want to do is put a full mainline series game on a console that might not always be a portable console. They always gotta layup and give us Pokemon Lite. (I'm looking at you, Colosseum and XD)
Hope it's the part where they teach you how to throw a pokeball.
Good. Then I can scour the first impressions about the Let's Go games. They may sway me off the fence in one direction or another.
Is it just me or do all these picture that are from cutscene make the game look like it will play very similarly to a Uncharted game where there are lots of cutscenes to watch and it almost feeling like an interactive movie. It probably won’t, but that’s the feeling I get.
I think it'll be fun to play in co-op with friends doing double battles together and stuff like that so I'm hyped 😄
Not the least surprise. but great to hear!
@Kimyonaakuma, the same person that did fortnite, already datamine 808th pokemon from quest. no name though.
I want to know how leveling works without wild Pokemon battles, and I want to know how battling works. Those are my biggest questions about the game right now. I fear the idea of Pokemon Go's meat grinder system coming into the real games. The idea of catching dozens of Pokemon and "transferring" them has already felt like you are sending that Pokemon to a slaughter house, and you are literally forcing your Pokemon to cannibalize it's friends to make it stronger...
