Re: Soapbox: All Fish Pokémon Are Bad, And There's A Good Reason Why

Setery

A lot of common fish ARE boring in real life, dull drab colors, nothing too crazy for most of them. I think Pokemon does a good job in that regard, however there are very few gorgeous fish that would translate well.
I certainly think that there's room to grow, but water type is one of the largest category of pokemon, it's hard to expand there without going too crazy. I think a Minior-like fish pokemon could be cool, make it like a tetra with a ton of different vibrant colors, but even then it likely wouldn't be powerful and would just pad out fish pokemon.
We could certainly have a few more shark pokemon, but something like a betta (fighting fish) could really expand both the designs but also competitive. Water/Fighting is a solid typing so just give it good stats and a strong evolution line that focuses on the beauty of the fish.

Re: Nintendo Is Actively Investigating 5G Technology

@sanderev sorry for the late response, but you're totally right. I didn't think about Nintendo's servers. Speaking of which I would love to get some dedicated servers especially for games that require a solid low ms connection like Smash.

Really just seems like an excuse to pump out games every other year or so not to mention they're reusing models from X and Y AND they could have pulled an X and Y by just making new animations for every Pokemon. I really don't care having to wait another year, I mean I along with many others waited for BOTW. In a way this is them telling us that they're rushing the game to hit that peak season right before Christmas.

Re: Retro-Bit's Tribute64 Controller Can Be Used With The N64 Or Your Switch

Setery

Due to the layout of the original N64 controller, many different games were built on how you held the controller. This design isn't all that bad when you consider that most games used the analog stick portion and the buttons portion at the same time. However if you want to have a controller suitable for all N64 games, you'd need an original design. There's nothing inherently wrong or terrible about this design if you're just using the analog + buttons.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want From A Switch Mini?

Setery

If at all possible I'd like the mini's screen to be a bit bigger than most phone screens but obviously smaller than the current Switch's screen. Fused controllers will probably be a necessity but maybe we will get mini Joy-Cons which would look interesting.
