A lot of common fish ARE boring in real life, dull drab colors, nothing too crazy for most of them. I think Pokemon does a good job in that regard, however there are very few gorgeous fish that would translate well. I certainly think that there's room to grow, but water type is one of the largest category of pokemon, it's hard to expand there without going too crazy. I think a Minior-like fish pokemon could be cool, make it like a tetra with a ton of different vibrant colors, but even then it likely wouldn't be powerful and would just pad out fish pokemon. We could certainly have a few more shark pokemon, but something like a betta (fighting fish) could really expand both the designs but also competitive. Water/Fighting is a solid typing so just give it good stats and a strong evolution line that focuses on the beauty of the fish.
What's with the mountains not reflecting and just continuing until the model just gets cut off in the 8th picture?
Edit: At a second glance, they are reflected, but the skybox isn't, this is really confusing once you see it the way I saw it initially.
Even if Metroid Dread doesn't win, I think that it's a great achievement for them to even be considered for the award. I never thought that it would get this much attention.
Well hopefully in the future we'll get -Upgraded Hybrid Switch (mobile/tv for a higher price) -TV only Switch (cheaper) -Upgraded Switch Lite (cheaper)
Maybe it's a good idea, idk I'm not part of their economics division lol.
Play how you want to play as long as it doesn't interfere with other's gameplay. I will choose to not time travel, but I have 0 issue with others doing it. In fact if you want to do it, I encourage it as long as that's how you want to play.
It's a storage device despite how people want to use it. Nintendo doesn't own NFC technology, it's perfectly legal to download amiibo data and use it. It is illegal to distribute said data. (U.S.) I am a-ok with people doing either. In a way it's like emulation which I'm a big fan of.
I do wish there were a way to disable event items affecting drops such as fishing, rock breaking, and tree chopping. I know they probably won't add it just because it kind of breaks immersion in a way.
@hoopderscotch They made OoT 3D right? If I recall those games have significantly slowed down now due to system updates and no software updates to fix it.
@Folkloner I think it's more of the concept that is appealing. Like sure, if we put a guy who just did this for fun as a DIY project, then yeah it's not going to look professional. However, if we got companies putting together little landscaped docks, you might end up rather impressed.
@sanderev sorry for the late response, but you're totally right. I didn't think about Nintendo's servers. Speaking of which I would love to get some dedicated servers especially for games that require a solid low ms connection like Smash.
@sanderev I've actually played Overwatch off of someone's hotspot from their phone and got about 80 ms. Sure it's not the BEST but it's playable for sure.
Really just seems like an excuse to pump out games every other year or so not to mention they're reusing models from X and Y AND they could have pulled an X and Y by just making new animations for every Pokemon. I really don't care having to wait another year, I mean I along with many others waited for BOTW. In a way this is them telling us that they're rushing the game to hit that peak season right before Christmas.
Due to the layout of the original N64 controller, many different games were built on how you held the controller. This design isn't all that bad when you consider that most games used the analog stick portion and the buttons portion at the same time. However if you want to have a controller suitable for all N64 games, you'd need an original design. There's nothing inherently wrong or terrible about this design if you're just using the analog + buttons.
@OorWullie Yeah I doubt they'd make a more powerful version any time soon, maybe 3-4 years from now. If we are getting a new model in the near future, it's likely to be a cheaper or maybe even more durable model for younger kids.
They are already not that hard to get. It's not super rare to get them from doing trainer battles or from the leaders. While it's nice they're doing this, it's not really that big of a deal.
If at all possible I'd like the mini's screen to be a bit bigger than most phone screens but obviously smaller than the current Switch's screen. Fused controllers will probably be a necessity but maybe we will get mini Joy-Cons which would look interesting.

Re: Video: Does The Switch Actually Feel 'Old' Yet?
The Switch wouldn't be nearly as bad if it had a high powered GPU dock
