Also @ the double standards thing. The violence in Nintendo games is hardly to the level where it could majorly influence the audience morally in a negative direction. The games are generally of such an art style that the violence isn't intense or the violence is against mythical creatures. However, the oversexualization of female characters is something that has real potential to negatively affect the target audience's views on women. It is easier to see why murder is wrong (and therefore the display of it in video games is less likely to affect the audience's view of it) than it is to see why it would be wrong to emphasize a female's sexuality (therefore the presentation of it in games can more easily influence the audiences beliefs and views).

Man, would have gotten Fatal Frame if it weren't for the massive censoring! Without lingerie and bikinis how in blue blazes is anyone supposed to play this game?! You wont be able to see the girl from the ghosts! This is complete B.S. and I'm sorry Nintendo but you just lost a long-time fan. It's not like I can look up pictures of fake girls in lingerie and bikinis on the internet, and having that absolutely essential part of the game taken out is the last straw!!

"Buy the other game" is not really an option because they are different campaigns and if one appeals to you more you should get that one, and not have to worry about accidentally getting a guy married in that game. "Play as the other gender" also isn't really a very viable option as most people want their character to be their gender because they are their avatar in the game. The "marry someone else first" is the only really viable option here and it isn't that hard. You also do not have to do the S rank conversation with the character, you just have to watch out for it.

AI is scary as sh*t and really has the potential to destroy mankind. Stop effing around with this stuff, people! >:[
