Re: PS5 Digital Edition Now More Expensive Than Switch 2 In UK & Europe

S1ayeR74

This pretty much concludes Switch 2 only for me next gen. Although I may get a PC on some sort too, a handheld or something, have a Steam Deck which I shall sell as it doesn't do what I want.
But Sony increasing prices in markets outside the US one to make up for US tariffs is pretty lowball insulting to it’s customers outside the US.

Re: UK Switch 2 Fans, Don't Bother Going To GAME Stores For Your Pre-Order

S1ayeR74

Wouldn’t bother touching them with a mile long barge pole! I bought a PS4 from them at launch, it was DOA so I called them to sort it out and they were not interested in the slightest and told me to ring Sony who, to be fair, did exchange it. BUT It was actually ‘illegal’ for Game to denounce any responsibility as I bought it from them so my sales contract was with them, not Sony.
I haven’t touched them since, they can go bust for all I care.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Game Upgrade Pack Prices Seemingly Revealed (Japan)

S1ayeR74

They will cost 20 dollars because people have found listing for Switch 2 enhanced games and they all seem to cost 20 dollars more then the original price. Quite a few are priced at 80 dollars. That high price is not going or be unique it seems but it looks like Nintendo plan on it being regular for some of its key IP. Even games several years old!!.
Those in Japan said it looks like prices are a bit cheaper there but they have region locked the Switch 2 to prevent you getting cheaper games.

Re: Switch 2 Games Cost A Bit More Than You're Probably Expecting

S1ayeR74

@The_Blue_Mage I think someone caught a pop up during the event that said the full game wasn’t on the cartridge so it may be a case of getting the game then having to download it anyway, it installs the game or part of it as opposed to just running it off the cartridge. But I guess we will have to wait and see.

Re: Switch 2 Games Cost A Bit More Than You're Probably Expecting

S1ayeR74

And that’s me out.. sorry but I am NOT going to buy a system and then pay those prices for the games. I only like Luigi’s Mansion anyway. I’d rather emulate it on PC then support pricing like that!.
PC gaming exists as do PC handhelds now, next year they will be a lot more powerful, and they have PC pricing for their games… and Steam sales.
That is more expensive then PS5 games. Yes I can afford it, but I am not going to buy say for physical games a year and be at the same cost as the console itself.

Re: Xbox Confirms It's Looking Into A Potential Handheld Device

S1ayeR74

This is what happens when you spend nearly 80 billion dollars on acquisitions…. The board and share holders want a return and aren’t seeing it. So they out as many of their games as they can on as many platforms as they can, and enter new markets like handhelds.. 10 years too late.
Xbox is in total disarray, has no direction and is being screwed unsurprisingly to make as much profit as possible. They refuse to follow the exclusives model like Nintendo and Sony, believe the Switch isn’t a competitor, well its successor will be when they launch s handheld that’s for sure. And they don’t buy exclusivity deals like Sony does. Why they had to buy huge studios instead of nail down exclusive deals is beyond me?

Re: 'My Time At Evershine' Revealed, Confirmed For Switch Successor

S1ayeR74

If anyone thinks the Switch 2 won’t be revealed very very soon, I don’t know what to tell you other than you’re in denial. Once the devs start CONFIRMING their games on the new next gen system, Nintendo will have to reveal it as other devs will also want to reveal their games, they want to build hype so they get the sales, you know make money….

Re: Poll: With 'Switch 2' Rumours Swirling, Will There Be A September Direct This Year?

S1ayeR74

@Medic_alert Legally they have to reveal the Switch 2 by March 2025, they advised their investors at an official meeting it will be revealed this financial year, they also stated it will be an evolution of the Switch, that’s the CEO of Nintendo by the way.
So everyone knows a new Nintendo console is coming, they have already probably impacted Switch sales with these statements.

Re: Summer Game Fest Will Return To Los Angeles In June 2025

S1ayeR74

Really dislike Geoff, he came across as VERY sour that Microsoft Nintendo and Sony didn't show their games at his event (not that Sony seems to have much to show currently), well that's what E3 used to be where each console had its own showcase and that's why I loved it. I really dislike Geoff's idea of a games show.

I seriously miss E3.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Want Quality And Performance Options For Nintendo's 'Switch 2' Games?

S1ayeR74

I’m very much looking forward to seeing what the new Switch 2 is capable off. I’d like it to be able to run games like Dead Island 2 natively, I mean the current model can run Dying Light. I think it’ll be more powerful then proper think especially if it has a DLSS trick up its sleeve.
I think graphics settings are ok, depends on the game though but a smooth 60FPS would be very much appreciated.

Re: Microsoft Lays Off 1,900 Xbox, Bethesda And Activision Blizzard Employees

S1ayeR74

@GarlicGuzzler This is business? They are in it to make money just like Nintendo are. These layoffs will have been planned years ago, MS will have gone to its efficiency team and asked them to work out which jobs can go after the merger, worked out redundancy packages or even retirement ones it applicable.
Does it suck sure, but in general every time there is a merger especially between two big companies their are lay offs, they need to show value to the share holders, so reducing necessary staff is a part of that.

Re: Internal Xbox Email Details Desire To Acquire Nintendo

S1ayeR74

People on here seem to forget Nintendo is a publicly traded company, Microsoft can perform a hostile takeover if they wish to. So it wouldn’t matter what Nintendo wants, it will only matter what the share holders price is.
Thankfully they seem to have lost interest and don’t desire a hostile takeover, for now….. it would be the worst thing for the entire global games market is Microsoft bought Nintendo.

Re: Talking Point: So, When Will Nintendo Announce Its Next Console?

S1ayeR74

I was thinking of getting another Switch this year, I’ve had three before lol. But think I’ll hold off and get the next gen. Very excited to see what it is they come up with though and hoot it’ll have a OLED 1080P screen. And still be a hybrid console. I sold my last Switch to help fund a Steam Deck, nice system but not as portable really.
