Re: Video: Get Your First Look At The Nintendo Labo VR Kit

Ricube

Did no one noted the part of the video, at 6:40, where there's a realistic view of a garden with trees and deers in the front. And a hand that looks like it's giving them food. What was that? It looked totally out of place and lasted like 2 seconds...

Re: Meet The Talent Behind Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's 'LifeLight' Theme Song

Ricube

I really like how Nintendo is creating those theme songs with vocals. Jump Up superstar has been for a long time in my playlist, and this one is going there too in short. I also often listen to the Fire Emblem Fates song that also has some great covers even on Spotify. Then there are the great remakes of oldies from Bayonetta. The playlist is building up with some great pieces! Please Nintendo, go on like this!

Re: Grab The New Fortnite Switch Bundle From The Nintendo UK Store, Pre-Orders Now Live

Ricube

It surely makes sense from a marketing perspective. Most people will see the box and want to buy it. It's stupid, but it's going to sell. I uninstalled Fortnite from my switch because it also is, to me, a really stupid game. No story, no goals, just running around and killing people before getting killed. I couldn't find any fun in it, even if I managed to end among the fist 5 or so. Just a personal opinion, so nothing against the lots of people who spend a lot of time with the game.

Re: Video: Five Features Included With The Nintendo Switch Online Membership

Ricube

I don't care at all about old NES games and cloud saves are a nice addition, but a way to backup (offline for example) should be free for everyone. I also don't play that much online. But what I really don't get, is why people are upset that there isn't something more. Nintendo has always been transparent about the service, and all articles and comment saying "we know almost nothing about it". Why? We already knew almost anything, why did people expected a surprise of some sorts? I'm not sure I made my point, but this is pretty interesting from a psychological point of view thata there is an expectation beyond facts.

Re: Review: The VideoKid (Switch eShop)

The game sounds more interesting than I thought, but I really can't get over the art style. I now it's down to personal taste. I even stopped playing that free pokemon game for this reason... And because I didn't like the gameplay,. actually. Still, I'm glad to see thay Switch has so many high rated games!

Re: Resident Evil 7 Is Coming To Nintendo Switch In Japan

When they announced a collaboration with Nvidia and the Tegra Chip, my first thought was that it would be possible to extend the Geforce Now service (like in the Nvidia Shield Tablet and TV), to the Switch. So now I'm really surprised that Capcom is doing this! I don't have a strong internet connection, but I would totally pay a monthly fee to play high end PC games on the switch when at home!

Re: Awesome: This Fan-Made Poké Ball Dock Holds Your Switch, Controllers And Games

Ricube

@Senpai3D I guess it's not an easy task, but as the picture shows, when a gamecard is in the holder, you can only see the top of the card with the red Switch logo, you cannot see the corresponding game. The slots might be less deep, so the cards stand more outside, or there should be a cut out on the front. I think Nintendo made a bad design decision in putting the switch logo on the top. Anyway, it's cool that you're following the comments on this site!

Re: Guide: How Does PAYDAY 2 On Switch Compare To Other Console Versions?

Ricube

If they say that "Nintendo Switch will be supported post-launch with patches to update the experience", this is going to be a possible "post-launch" purchase.
I really think us Nintendo fans are "spoiled" with games that are finished and complete from day one... Is this going to continue or is Nintendo also going to become like other developers?

Re: Review: AeternoBlade (Switch eShop)

So .. what do you have against pigs? They're beautiful animals! Even from the short demo I could tell this game is not worth my time. That is the problem with those productions when there are far more valuable options.

Re: Video: There Are More Nintendo Labo Toy-Con Than You Might Expect

Ricube

Something really interesting could be a way to actually make your own paper craft creations and have a software to "program" a game. Maybe something simple like combining the different sensors to different actions in real life and to things that happen on screen, like a custom mapping. Or registering with the IR camera and mapping the actions to sounds, movements or something. I'm not really sure how that could be done... But possibilities are almost endless and now they seem, to me at least, a little tied to the single software.
