Just Xenoblade for me. This and Minecraft Dungeons is enough so far,
Xenoblade and Shantae.
Always irritates me when I preload a third party game, though, because it takes SO long into the next day for the download to activate.
It's the 28th of May, and I keep clicking on the Shantae icon, but it keeps telling me I can't play the software.
Thunder Force AC!!!
Shantae, let's goooooooooo! ❤️💜
I'll download the Moonlighter DLC and, eventually, Canada Post will deliver Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Works Set.
I'll be picking up Xenoblade as soon as my store calls me.... they haven't rung me up yet...
I remember when the Wii U was out, I'd wait for these announcements to get like, 2 games and I'd hope I was interested in ONE of them. This is quite a big difference.
Bug Fables looks fantastic but it's not my style of game. Same for Xenoblade.
Amazing week for releases. Thank you 2K for Borderlands and Bioshock games. I played these already on PS4, but will gladly revisit on Switch on the go.
Quite a few things this week I’m interested in, but I’ll probably hold off buying anything for now. I’m 3 weeks into AC:NH and anything I buy now would just be tossed in the “to be played at a later date” bucket that’s already starting to overflow.
Also some games where the price is right but the HDD requirements are a bit much. I can see myself double dipping on Bioshock 3 at that price but it needs 20GB??
Anyways , on my wishlist are going:
Shantea (normally would be all over this but just got done with Monsterboy)
Xeno - just don’t have the 70+ hours now but I’m coming back for this one later when I do
Borderlands/bioshock - want to see some reviews on well the ports hold up technically.
Grabbed Bug Fables, though I'm interested in some of the other releases this week.
Getting Bioshock for sure!
Not sure if I should get Borderlands. I'd be getting it for single player.
Lots of good stuff. I look forward to BioShock Infinite going on deep discount (60% or better) a few months from now.
Jesus today is a surprisingly massive game week. I've had my eye on Xenoblade, Xcom, Bioshock, Bug Fables, and Shantae, but for whatever reason, my brain didn't make the connection that they all released around the same time... If I had to pick one, I think I'll grab Bug Fables.
@Magician That's what I'm waiting for, too, but unfortunately things seem to be different on Switch. How many years has it been out now, and I'm still waiting for Skyrim to be $20 like it has been on every other system for what seems like a decade. Or even any kind of sale for the physical version.
Very busy week. Is NL doing a review for Bug Fables? Seems very appropriate for this site...
WildTrax Racing shows off road vehicles, but all their screenshots are of flat terrain. Weird.
https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/wildtrax-racing-switch/
Xenoblade and XCOM for me. Also pre-installed Outer Worlds
@WoomyNNYes Borderlands is very solo-friendly. I've played each of them extensively solo
My poor wallet 😥
@Xyphon22 - Yeah, Bethesda has been sort of stingy with their discounts on Switch. 2K Games have been better, as I've seen Civilization VI go from $50 to frequently being below $20.
Got Game Tengoku CruisinMix preloaded, taking advantage of the 20% off pre-sale. Will pick up Thunder Force AC at some point. The Darius collections I'd still try to pick up physical, but we'll see. And I might check out Missile Command, for a few bucks it looks alright.
I'm interested in bug fables after hearing good things about it.
Bug Fables and Bioshock 2 for me.
My physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles should be delivered tomorrow. I want BioShock Collection, but that'll have to wait until a later date. It's Reyn Time!
What's the deal with "Bug Fables"? Just saw it for the 1st time ever on Twitter and it's out today. NL has NO previous mentions of it before today. How does a game that look that good - good Paper Mario good - andvjust appear out of the blue like that?
I know most of these games just appear out of the blue like that, but some are weirdo $5 shovelware. This is $25 and looks like a real game. If Image & Forge or Wayforward made it we'd have 6 months of news before release.
Still playing ACNH 2-3 hours a day, and just started Steamworld Quest, and Labo VR arrives today, so I don't have time right now, but I may have held off on Labo VR for Bug Fables. I only bought Labo VR b/c it was OOS everywhere for awhile and came back, but it's still like $100 3rd party on Amazon so I bought it while I could. So now I'll wait for reviews and a sale on Bug.
Little heads up next time would be good, somebody let them know.
Xenoblade, Borderlands, Bioshock, and Shantae already ordered.
Mabey Minecraft Dungeons and Bug Fables.... Too many games this week
@rjejr Nintendo Life has mentioned it once or twice before today.
Already preloaded Shantae, though I might hold off on playing it as I'm in the middle of a playthrough of Pirate's Curse and I don't want genre burnout.
Heavily considering Xenoblade but I don't know if I have the time for a massive game like that right now.
Holding off on a lot of these for the time being. Picked up Just Shapes & Beats tho cause they announced some new songs coming soon. I'll probably pick up Xenoblade from my library and shantae or bug fables if there's a sale.
Only thing I want is the bioshock. But I have so many games now I'll wait for a sale.
Definitely Shantae, probably Xenoblade.
I'll probably get the BioShock Collection for now, Borderlands, XCom, and Xenoblade Remastered comes later.
DF’s assessment of Xenoblade has put that game on pause for me. I’m gonna do Resolution, maybe Atomicrops and probably Shantae.
What a week!
Xenoblade, BioShock, Borderlands, XCom and Thunder Force for sure. Might check out Shantae too, still want to get in that series.
@Xyphon22 Sometimes...the Switch tax.
I would love to buy more games, but can’t at the moment. Especially Xenoblade. That Adam’s Venture sounds mighty interesting though.
I was unaware that a new Shantae game was due out so soon... still need to beat the very last section of the last one.
Might take the dive on Bioshock Collection without a sale. But definitely want to see how the reviews hold up in regards to the porting quality. Gyro aiming might be too much to ask for here
@Blooper987 Congrats on getting JS&B. That game is fun, challenging, and inventive. So much variety in the bullet patterns. I didn’t know they were adding even more songs; I thought the Shovel Knight update might have been the final one.
@sfb they've been announcing them on their twitter for a few days. No release date yet tho. I'm hoping they add Megalovania from Undertale. It's a perfect fit
Bought a physical edition of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
Shantae and Thunder Force.
@Averagewriter preorder
Awesome week! Both Darius Collections, Thunderforce, Bioshock Collection & Shantae for me!! Maybe Borderlands too. That’s a lot of gaming!!
WAIT- I can’t find the Darius Collections anywhere and not in the coming soon list either! Europe only?? anyone? 🙁
Really enjoying Journey the Savage Planet. Have never played Borderlands, Xenoblade Chronicles, or XCom 2. Got Xenoblade pre-downloaded but am very tempted by Borderlands and XCom.
There’s no listing for the Bioshock collection on the eshop so no preloading. Something seems a bit off, might wait on reviews before picking up
Bug Fables is blowing up all over. I might get it to see what the hype is about - it sounds like my kind of game regardless, and the price is attractive. Unless there is a physical edition, I'd prefer that. Might wait to see if LRG or another boutique will print one.
Xenoblade Chronicles is a must-buy, but physical, and not immediately. This game isn't going to disappear, and I have a monstrous backlog to deal with first.
Very interested in parts of the Bioshock and X-COM2 collections, but not the whole collection. I'll just buy one game at a time. I would buy the physical collections if they included at least one full game on cart. (I think X-COM actually might).
Might give Shantae a look, too. I've loved the Shantae games I've played, even though I suck at them all.
My copy of Xenoblade is delayed until next week, so Shantae for me.
So far it's fun and I like the new quick transformations.
MInecraft Dungeons = Minecraft (no building) turns into Diablo, works great IMO. I didn't finish Xenoblade on 3ds but that was due to not being able to find an area: I'm told the map/ navigation was greatly improved on this version. Can't believe XC2 and XC are such different fighting styles. One I adore the other I deplore.
Not download, but I have the physical version of Xenoblade on the way. Today, the BioShock Collection arrived! I'm especially excited for BioShock because I remember back in the day, all the talk surrounding a Wii port of the first game and how Ken Levine himself was interested, but had to pass because the quality of the game would have taken a hit. Then, BioShock Infinite never got a Wii U port; though it would have been nice I understand why. I always said that I'd get it Day 1 if the Collection ever came to the Switch, and today I was a man of my word 😂
