That's good to hear, and I'm glad to see that Nintendo stock piled a bunch of them. The only problem I've run into on mine so far is when I put the Switch 2 in the dock while GameChat is up my controllers stop working and I have to restart the Switch 2. It's weird, but I'm sure Nintendo will fix it in a system patch.

I may pick up one and give it a try. I know PowerA and Hori tend to be good third-party accessories makers.

I got my US console from Walmart, should arrive on release day. If possible, I may try getting a second with my invite (assuming I get one) for my sister and her kids.

I will definitely be pre-ordering, I loved the original on the 3DS and what little I played of the mobile game. Still sucks Switch doesn't get early access like the other platforms.

I never got to use it, but it was always neat hearing about how Nintendo consoles got used in weird, unique ways.

Watch_Dogs, and that's really about it. I really couldn't care less about Ubisoft these days. Even Watch_Dogs Legion was pretty meh.

I might actually get Elden Ring on the Switch, it will be my first Fromsoft game but I hear they're really good.

Ok, the mansion suit looks pretty cool. I haven't played much of the Hitman series but I might pick this one up and see what it's all about.

Nah man, let games have fall damage. It's more immersive and challenging. Obviously it shouldn't be overly penalizing, but it should still be part of the experience. Some games, like Super Mario 64, even let you cheese the fall damage.

@Zaruboggan That's always been my view, just because I don't like something doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. Let people vote with their wallets.

@TheBoilerman I mean, Black Flag is already on the Switch 1. If Ubisoft does anything with it it'll just be an upgrade pack.

@PikminMarioKirby I mean, it should be able to be on the console, doesn't mean I'm going to buy it though. Especially with how much Ubisoft leans into microtransactions.

Knowing Ubisoft if it gets a physical release it's going to be a game-key card. Remember everyone complaining about $80 Mario Kart, this game's "ultimate" edition was $130 and locked a quest behind a pre-order.

I'm excited for the game, but this Direct was so pointless. We literally only saw stuff we already knew. Not that I mind too much, I prefer going into games as blind as possible, but they hyped up the Direct like it was going to show of some CTR-style adventure mode.

Meanwhile I'm just trying to collect cards I think look cool. I'm just weird I guess.

Does the emulator use closed-source Nintendo code? If not, then I fail to see how Nintendo has the legal standing to remove the emulator. Unless they are distributing the ROMs/ISOs as well, which I doubt they would be stupid enough to do.

@iLikeUrAttitude No, more likely they’re not going to just give you a free repair or replacement because you demand one. The company I work for has a similar policy and will still honor free repairs and replacements for qualifying products.

@Aerona It counts as harassment when several people have already told them no and they keep calling in about it. Keeps the support staff from actually helping people.

I work customer/tech support. I don’t believe these guidelines are unreasonable. I’ve had people demand a replacement product because they broke it and “[company] shouldn’t be releasing such fragile products.” Sorry dude, Limited Warranty doesn’t normally cover you breaking it.
