Gamescom is fast approaching and the host Geoff Keighley is beginning to build hype for the event by teasing some of the games we can expect to see at Opening Night Live.
Apart from a "world premiere" of the highly anticipated LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga video game by TT Games, Nintendo Switch fans can also look forward to an announcement and footage of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.
The new TMNT game was announced earlier this year in April and has been described as a classic-inspired brawler with some seriously strong retro vibes.
"Inspired by the Turtles’ iconic 1987 design,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge brings New York City’s most righteous ninjas to life with gorgeous pixel art that’d look right at home in your favorite retro arcade. From showdowns with infamous rivals like Bebop and Rocksteady to returns to signature locales like Dimension X, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a bodacious celebration of classic TMNT beat-em-ups with its own modern touches."
There's no release date for this one just yet, so perhaps we'll get a confirmation at Gamescom next week. Will you be tuning in on the 25th of August to see Raph, Don, Leo and Mike in action? Tell us down below.

Yeah, still keeping an eye on this game. I didn't play too many of these types of TMNT games, but the ones I did play were fun.
The NES version of the Arcade game (and that other NES adventure game if you wanna count that, didn't get far, gave up at the underwater level, you know the one, lol) and I think at least one of the SNES games. Guessing those were also arcade games, lol

Yeah, that's NES TMNT2, I would love NES TMNT3 and SNES TMNT4 remakes too. I enjoyed they much more at the time.

Yeah the 'arcade' 2 nes game was actually pretty decent despite the cuts that had to be made.
I've always wanted a cart/download of all the TMNT games. Yeah the first NES one was bad but from there on they were pretty great.
edit: yeah I have the roms but I'd like something in a 'collection' or more official I guess. Same with Darius/Gradius.
Hopefully it’s a shadow drop type of deal… right before September and October’s onslaught of games. I just want to be able to savor the game. I am so excited to finally get an update.

I hope for a great battle between the Turtles and the Shredder. Turtles in Time battle (both arcade and console) was a bit weak for a final boss (even though it looked good).

It would be nice if we got the classic TMNT nes & snes games for the NSO to help get people excited for Shredder’s Revenge.

One of my most anticipated games at the moment. I loved the NES, SNES and Genesis beat-em-ups. Definitely interested what they show. More than likely confirmation for the PlayStation and Xbox family of consoles but hopefully a release date as well.
Keighley is a [person I don't like], but I'm very interested in that Turtle game. I need it on a Switch cartridge! Make it happen, one-of-those-physical-media-companies!!

@roy130390 I know I played the original arcade machine of ninja turtles and played some of the NES games all pretty difficult, but still amazing can’t wait for this game hopes it’s good.

Yes day one for sure, love the arcade games, the nes, snes conversions, also the Megadrive games as well. This and Metroid are my most anticipated titles this year.
