A pretty...inconsequential trailer? It showed a new character, a bit more of the Link construct, and some new cutscenes that told things already knew. I will probably get the game as I'm a sucker for Zelda lore (hopeless case) but this trailer failed to hype me up
@HammerKirby I was referring to a comment by other user where they say they wait for a physical Cronos release - which already happened in the form of a Key Card. I meant there's no precedence to release a game as a key card and then the SAME game as a game on card.
@DonierGunad Cronos has a physical (right, game key card) release on NS2 already. We don't have a precedence for releasing a key card and then a game on card version, so you either take what we have, or you skip. Just don't hold your breath.
The remake/remaster is a kind of all-in-one package with LoF1, LoF2, and kind of LoF 2.5 that ties all pieces together. It launched 2-3 years back. I'm sure this is this game.
I'm enjoying the game much but the review fails to mention that free movement was changed to selecting a location. I'm not sure whether it's for the better or worse... Maybe it is due to Switch limitations, maybe free walking was pointless anyway in the original version.
Between merging enemies, heavy reliance on charge shots, and soul harvesting, I fail to see how the game is in your opinion so unoriginal that it deserves -1 from the score. The pace of gameplay is unlike anything else, from modern survival horrors. This 7 is brow-raising especially in light of many retro-pixel obscure games that get 8s and 9s left and right here.
I had been pissed that it was supposed to be a DK Direct instead of a general one. But they "overexceeded" my expectations. I'd known the game was going to be good, but the Direct blew me away.
It's either GameCube or Wii. GCN: Luigi, Wave Race and Rouge Squadron is a killer trio. Wii: Twilight Princess and Exite Truck are great games, while Wii Sports and Red Steel were fun for the novelty factor. Plus Trauma as a hidden gem.
You are right in the video that this is gameplay, I'm 99% sure. But I think this is most probably an opening sequence, heavily scripted. Perhaps we will get a hub to explore, or maybe exploration phases before the battles, but not an open world.
The real news here for me is that there's an official live website with the Timeline. Last time I heard we got updated timeline only with new publishings such as Hyrule Historia.
@Giancarlothomaz I read in another review that provided the name of the developer is against embargo rules. Crazy, sometimes it's hard to understand Nintendo.
If there was a remake, then I'd go with a full revamp like RE4R. For example, with lots of BOTW mechanics and openness. In any other case, we already have the 3DS remake, which holds quite strong.
A Nintendo game or remake that is specifically made to show the best graphics first party teams can squeeze out of the console. Metroid Prime 1 Remake is close to this. But I'm also thinking F-Zero GX level of spectacle but remade internally by Nintendo magicians.
So we're all just gonna trust the "leaks" or do we have other evidence that Nintendo skips June? Do we take it for granted that N has no big guns for autumn?
I've played every European FE game since Path of Radiance. Awakening and Three Houses are one of my top games. But somewhow I cannot feel excited for this one yet. All I see is a generic story and a freak protagonist. Not up my alley, but maybe future trailer will change my opinion.
I think they will do the Samus Returns again. Meaning they will tease MP4 (again), and then move on to fully revealing Metroid Prime 1 Remaster, coming this winter.
This is not the Direct I was looking for. No doubt they will show at least a few games I'll find interesting, but I've been waiting for Zelda 2/MP 4/Bayo 3 for so long that I can't help but be somewhat disappointed.
Proof Reggie is not a all-knowing god. I loved Donkey Konga, I was probably the only person in my country to own two sets and all 3 games (DK3 I had to import for AUS). And man, Jungle Beat was awesome, too!
People wondering how such patents are possible don't know a one important distinction: game ideas/mechanics are not patentable as w hole but specific solutions to achieve them are. For example, you can have a system similar in your end-user experience as the Nemesis system in Shadow of Mordor, but it cannot work under the hood the same way. Did you know natural movement from Dying Light is patented? It didn't stop other games from having systems for grapping ledges, simply these systems work differently.
Patents are needed to minimize the risk and encourage companies in investing in research & development.

Re: Poll: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Is Out On Switch 2 And Switch This Week, Will You Be Getting It?
Pre-ordered and no review can change my mind - I waited too long for it to not play it.

Re: EA Is Diving Headfirst Into Generative AI With New Partnership
I'd like to say that this will make me stop buying their games, but I haven't bought an EA game in years already.

@Johnny_Arthur The game in question was released on other platforms before SH2 Remake.

Great to read it!
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Price Has Been Officially Announced

Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Price Has Been Officially Announced
Isn't EA FC 26 coming this month as well?
Re: Publisher Acclaim Is Set To Host Its Own Showcase Next Month
Whose money is behind it? I get it is the revival of the brand, not the company itself?
Re: Video: We've Played Cronos: The New Dawn On Switch 2
Am I reading too much into it, or the subheader was meant as a joke, not a suggestion that the game looks bad graphically?
Re: Video: We've Played Cronos: The New Dawn On Switch 2
Pumped for it!
Re: Comic Adaptation 'I Hate This Place' Stalks Onto Switch This November
Intriguing. Day and Night sounds a bit like Dying Light, which is a god thing!
Re: Cronos: The New Dawn Delivers Scares And Thrills In Its Best Trailer Yet
Looks cool! Hope it runs great on NS2!
Re: Nintendo Indie World Showcase August 2025 - Every Announcement, Game Reveal & Trailer
Really, really bad. Not a single game caught my attention. Probably the first time since Indie Directs air.
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Teases New Construct In Fresh Trailer
It's Link.
It looks like him + they can't have a Hyrule Warriors game without Link, but canonically he shouldn't be there, so they made a construct.

I had been pissed that it was supposed to be a DK Direct instead of a general one. But they "overexceeded" my expectations. I'd known the game was going to be good, but the Direct blew me away.

When is Nintendo planning to tease more first-party projects, so we can know what to expect from the system beyond the first few months?

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Mario & Luigi: Brothership?
I meant to but the reviews scared me away a bit, especially the handholding complaints.
Re: Donkey Kong Country-Inspired Platformer 'Nikoderiko' Hits Switch Next Month
When DK and Coco Bandicoot had a child... The character design oozes strong Crash vibes.

Don't let your hopes up, guys.
Re: Review: Princess Peach: Showtime! (Switch) - Peach Breaks A Leg In A High-Class Production
@Giancarlothomaz No idea, that didn't have a problem with that with previous games, like Yoshi.

Good thing Donkey Konga and the Bongos came out during the GameCube times.

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate Nintendo's 2021?
Voted 7/10 and that mostly thanks to Metroid Dread, which proved to be much better than expected.
The first half of the year was quite barren for me. The first 1st-party game I bought this year was Skyward Sword HD in summer!
