@Joeynator3000 I find the variation on how long a fish takes to bite is longer than any other AC game to date. My strategy is that my eyes and wait for the "BLIP" (otherwise I react too early as well). Focusing on just the sound really helps.
@Heavyarms55 There are actually many wetsuits that allow for people to dive comfortably in cold water. Mind you, it's more expensive than most swimwear, but it exists
@Crimson_Ridley I'd more hope they'd cut Wisp/Sahara's lengthy explanations after they've visited for the upteenth time. Or Blathers saying a fossil is already in the museum even when you know. You were the one who donated every possible fossil and completed the prehistoric wing.
I mean an anime series would be cool and all, but from what I've heard of Final Remix (pretty much just a ported mobile version), I can't help but feel sceptical. Maybe it's just the game they didn't put much effort in, but an anime's just not going to be the same...
You know, I don't think I ever fully appreciated the full cast mural. I just love how Robin is in the corner reading a book and Luigi is rocketting through the air XD
Last night I was fortunate enough to have both Wisp and Celeste visit me, but during Wisp's long winded banter that he repeats every. Single. Time., I missed three shooting stars while trying to race through his dialog T_T
This is so tempting only because, in the months I've played the game, I have had one meteor shower. ONE. And I played every day for two months. I just want that sweet furniture, man ;_;
I mean, have you looked at the Google Play store? I swear one of the ads I watched in another game was the Pokemon Retrospective video. Like they weren't even trying to hide it. This is when I wish Nintendo would go after them with huge fines. No excuses.
@Kalmaro I absolutely agree with you. I always appreciate whenever a game subtly includes gyro controls. The first one that comes to my mind is Astral Chain, where I don't remember the tutorials saying anything about it but slightly moving your controller would help perfect your aim.
I usually play an hour or two in the morning, and then two quick bursts (one afternoon and one evening) to try and get more of my missing recipes. The one thing I find very discouraging (albiet very minor) is that even if you have a recipe, the villager will force an extra copy on you, but if you don't have it and don't want it (for some reason), you can say no and walk away! Half of the floor space of my basement is littered with doubles and triples of recipes in case I finally get around to playing it with my friends.
Aside from that, I'm still trying to figure out what my final layout is going to be, especially after realizing the Residential Services building can't be moved ;_;
I know these are sold in at least one dollar store in town. I bought one because it was an armored Mewtwo, but white and yellow. It actually looked pretty cool. Low quality, but still cool
I know this Animal Crossing makes it easier to get bells, but that wasn't a bad thing. This is the first time in the series that I paid off all morgages and I've barely had it a month! But that then lets me begin to customize the Island to my heart's desire, which I thought was the point. Sad to see my assumptions proven wrong.
Also I have been counting down the days til mole crickets go out of season. Curse you, increased spawn rate!!!!
I've checked every night since launch for Celeste. The two times she showed up were for recipes. I lucked out one night and scored 2 star fragments, but I fear I won't get the Aries fragment before the zodiac change :/
I just find it sad the sakura event only lasted 10 days! I got all the Bunny Day recipes on the first or second day, yet I'm still missing at least 1 sakura recipe. I just wish either the sakura event lasted longer or the game would at least warn how long it's supposed to last for.
@PsiSteve At least it's all entirely optional. I do like the idea of practicing a section of the stage without having to go through every single other obstacle to get to it. Hopefully, the game will acknowledge whether you do the true Impossible Lair or not
Man, I can remember picking this up years ago by chance just because of the anthro characters. We only got 1 or 2 shipped here, and I got one that came with the soundtrack. Thank goodness I did because I adore the soundtrack just as much as I loved the characters.
It's also one of the only games I've played where the very few spoken pieces of dialogue (ex: the side quest lady) are in French and not English, Japanese, or a "jibberish" language (ex: Sims, Zelda).
I'd recommend it. It's a bit clunky but I can tell the devs put a lot of care into it.
Hard choosing between Piplup and Squirtle, but Wartortle is one of the only 2nd evolutions I actually like (where do the fluffy tail and head wings go ;_;), so Squirtle wins
Even though I was a bit disappointed in its evo designs, I have to go with Fennekin. My Delphox Aristotle is the first pokemon to ever reach level 100 (sure maybe because I loved the easy farming/grinding in the Battle Chateau, but still a personal first)
I hope with the success of this release he can finally rest a bit or at least slow down. I understand that he would be under an indescribable amount of pressure to get everything done, done right, and on time for literally millions of people around the world. However, because I deeply respect him and adore his work, I would rather wait years for a title to be finished and close to perfection than have it in a shorter amount of time with an unhealthy Sakurai.
tl;dr- Sakurai, I love your games, but please don't kill yourself for them!

Re: Pokémon-Like Nexomon: Extinction Shows Off Three Of The Game's Regions
I mean, I don't like the look of the overworld at all, but water-type Krookodile is pretty cool

Looks promising :3

Re: Can You Match These Links To The Zelda Game They're From?
20/21. I had a bit of trouble with the older games. Differentiating the Toon Links though? Easy.
Re: Can You Name These Switch Games From Their Menu Icons?
19/21. I thought the Senua's Sacrifice's icon was more Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Kora lol

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons: Bug-Off - Event Date, Start Time, Flick And Rewards Explained
I had no idea you had to catch so much back during the fishing tourney. I just got one of every prize. Maybe I'll try for gold this time...
Re: Can You Name These Super Smash Bros. Fighters?
15/15. I feel like if I didn't ace this one, I should give up my Smash controller

Re: Can You Name The First Game These Famous Characters Appeared In?
11/15. I can honestly say I didn't know the Sonic or Roy ones. The others were just me second quessing myself
Re: Soapbox: I've Been Playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons Wrong All This Time, But No More
I didn't even know about the Lily of the Valley. Time to get my island back to a 5-star -_-

23/25, with Buck and Walt being by two missteps. Though now I know I want Walt in my town someday.
Re: Can You Name These Third-Party Nintendo Games From Just Their Box Art?
9 out of 15. I'm not gonna lie, most of it was down to luck and judging the age of the artwork.
On a side note, that Tank! Tank! Tank! one looks awesome. I never picked it up, but now I'm tempted...

3/10. Some pretty obscure facts, but at least I learned some new stuff

Re: Want More Authentic Art? Just Evict Your Smug Villagers In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
I randomly got a fake ancient statue in the mail from one of my villagers. I don't mind though since it's one of the 'haunted' sculptures

"Fantastic writing" and "oddly-paced story" are to points you don't normally find in the same review
Re: How Well Do You Know Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
@darkswabber Same here. Figured all the hoppy bugs looked similar anyways. I was proven wrong.
Re: How Well Do You Know Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Only got the bug one wrong. Not too shabby

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Update 1.1.4 Patch Notes - We Bring Egg-Cellent News
Yes! I earn most of my daytime bells through fishing, so this is a big relief
Re: GameStop Is Temporarily Closing All Of Its Storefronts
Our local EB Games closed before New Horizons released. I didn't even get a phone call. At least I had the space and the funds to download it
Re: Random: Sorry, The Froggy Chair Doesn’t Seem To Be In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Noooo no more toots :'<
Re: Good Smile Reveals New Video Game Themed Nendoroid And Figma At Wonder Festival 2020
Ordering Amaterasu as soon as she's available. I need more Okami in my life
Re: Tubbz Cosplaying Duck Range Adds Sonic, DOOM, Street Fighter And More
I'm kinda tempted on picking up a Ducktor Eggman when he comes out
Re: Funko Announces Four More Pokémon Pop
I think it really boils down to price with these things. They're a lot cheaper and more readily available than most figures.
I'll probably pick up Vulpix and add a small white dot to each eye. The same could be done for Pichu to remove the look of soullessness
Re: Guide: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For January And February 2020
I kinda forgot about Rune Factory! I'll probably just get that and Animal Crossing. It'll be worth the wait <3
Re: Pokémon Was A Category On Jeopardy This Week, Can You Get All Of The Answers?
I got em all except the first. I just don't live in the US ( or at least I'll use that as an excuse)

Re: Shovel Knight's amiibo 3-Pack Launches This December, Game Functionality Detailed
So we finally know when they're coming out. Can't wait to see how they look face to face.
Also love that the fairy's name is "Meeber". Just perfect.

Re: Repentance Will Be Final DLC For The Binding Of Isaac, According To Creator
Oh no. This game is like an addiction for me. Once I get the DLC, I'll probably put another few hundred hours into it
Re: Get Up To 50% Off Top Nintendo Select Titles In North America Right Now
Tempted by the 40% Box Boy and 50% Picross. At least then they're at a good 'sale' price
Re: Undertale Collector's Edition Secures Western September Release On Switch
Got the special edition for PS4. Absolutely love it. If I do triple dip, I'll just be getting the standard edition :3
