"Wink, wink"
Should i buy the Digital download of ACNL Welcome Amiibo....... Again ? (As my 5th copy)
That calendar wallpaper is a great idea. Have they done that before? It has minor utility as a calendar on a lock screen, but also reminds of the game they want you to buy and when you can do it. It's kind of dumb but I find the wallpapers the best value usually.
@aaronsullivan Yeah, occasionally they'll throw one up. They had one for Aces in June.
ok, never played animal crossing before and I feel an impulse to buy it right now, should I?
@JamesJose7
Given that we have no idea when or if the Switch is getting Animal Crossing, I say go for it. New leaf is a lovely, passive game.
Maybe Donkey Kong Country Returns. I missed it the first few times around.
@JamesJose7 Yes, no question. Picked up New Leaf on the 8th of August and have barely put it down. Even if you don’t enjoy it, it’s a gaming experience worth at least trying.
Oh man, you mean I can spend cash-value point in order to qualify for sub-50% discounts on modest hit from last generation? Wow! Let me get my zzzzzzZZZZZzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I love ya, Ninty, but... ugh.
@TheFanatic @MoonKnight7 awesome, going for it
I've played everything I wanted to play on 3DS and Wii U. The discounts should be far better than 30-50% on such old games. Wake me up when they put up some decent rewards.
So I already own a majority of those games, and the one's I don't, I really don't want.
In other developments: I tried the quiz and got 5/5. I should probably go outside or something....I spend way too much time gaming.
Tempted by the 40% Box Boy and 50% Picross. At least then they're at a good 'sale' price
Was really hoping Kirby Planet Robobot was the Kirby game!
Not a bad selection for those who don't already have some of these excellent games. There's really no excuse at this point for someone to not own A Link Between Worlds.
I've been waiting for a sizable discount on Picross 3D Round 2 since launch. Purchased it as soon as I saw this and am already playing. Nothing else is really jumping out at me (for the games I don't already own), but since I'm trying to shrink my gaming backlog (currently 137 games), that's not necessarily a bad thing.
@aaronsullivan I buy the calendars every month for 50 coins as I usually have 60 coins expiring every month anyway. I was actually excited that they put up this months before the month started, as I usually look the last few days of each month if there is anything to spend my coins on before they expire. I actually spent 50 on a Mario and Luigi wallpaper for August but we had several months before that. Though my kid told me this morning he is getting sick of Mario and would like Zelda instead. Kids.
500 platinum coins for 50% off Nintendo Land 6 years after it released would be great if NL was selling for $1.99 but I suppose it's still $19.99. Nintneod needs to do a MUCH BETTER job highlighting prices w/ these 30% off discounts so people know if it's worth their time to go purchase something.
And really, who came up with 140 platinum coins for 30% off the Pokemon trading card game? Do they have a dartboard with random amounts on it? Do they have long discussions about it? "Should it be 100, 150, 200? Maybe 130 or 140?"
Nothing about MyNintneod makes any sense.
@ryancraddock Can we hold off on showing Animal Crossing thumbnails until it's announced for Switch? For the 5 nano seconds that my brain needed to scan the heading... I was hopeful.
@DanteSolablood But that would ruin the fun of the fateful day when the blessed 'Animal Crossing is coming to Switch' article arrives - this way, you'll be even happier when it really does happen.
That picross 3D one is pretty great.
Can anyone please upload the calendar wallpaper for those of us who don't have a NA account?
I like being able to get physical games @ discounts. Club Nintendo's replacement just isn't my thing.
I pretty much have all the ones I want out of these, except for Nintendo Land, which I had a good bit of fun with before it was stolen from me. Now might be the time to burn off some plats.
At this point every time I see Animal Crossing anything on NL I get my hopes up for a Switch announcement...
Animal Crossing and Link to the Past are tempting, but those are titles I can grab physically. Picross 3d Round 2 has been on my eye for a while, but the price was a bit steep-until now! Got 113 point on my account, and I'm about to put them to good use!
EDIT: Also, just discovered the existence of Mario's Picross, so it looks like I have even more puzzle goodness to enjoy on my 3DS yet.
For the longest time, I couldn't even find Nintendoland on the eshop. I had fun with it at my nephew's but I hated that boxart so I wanted digital. I'm over the wiiu now though, won't bother getting it.
@rjejr Yeah, it would be nice to not have to hesitate in posting about the rewards I got from it. I am almost embarrassed about "paying" for some of that stuff. And the discounts rarely catch me right. There is the basic reward for buying regularly which saves me a dollar or two here and there, I guess. Maybe I'll be happier about that now that Amazon's crazy pre-order policy is officially defunct.
@aaronsullivan "Amazon's crazy pre-order policy is officially defunct."
Well it's defunct, but it turned out better than the Wii U's DDP 5% which Nintneod just let lapse, Amazon said they'll give $10 credit for some games, which is only $2 less than the $12 Prime savings. We'll have to see which games though.
