Re: Poll: Animal Crossing: New Horizons - What Would You Like To See Added In An Update?

I would say a big flaw that is not covered here is the ability to craft using materials from your storage. Not only is it a nuisance to have to pull the materials from your storage into your inventory every time you want to craft something, it also doesn't make sense, as the idea works for other things. When you get changed using your wardrobe, it pulls clothes from your storage, as well as when you customize your home using down on the Dpad. It's just odd!

My friend made me get this game as a joke, and it wound up shocking us. It's a really fun mini game to sit around the couch and have a few beers and play with some friends. I do wish there was more content, but the multiplayer is a good time.

Re: The Legend of Legacy Isn't Too Far Away From a Release in Europe

@Jordie Definitely up to personal preference. I happen to love turn-based RPGs and was very excited for this game, however for me, beautiful design and art direction can't make up for lack of story, questionable game design, unfair at times difficulty, and repetitive nature. I felt Destructoid's review of the game was pretty spot on. http://www.destructoid.com/review-the-legend-of-legacy-315769.phtml

Awesome, been waiting for this review. I was leaning heavily towards getting it because adventure-platormers are some of my favorite games and they don't really come along too often these days. Sounds like this one is up my alley.

Definitely Legend of Kay, I've been craving a good platforming/adventure game. Also Dragon Fantasy has peaked my interest. Watched some videos for Canvaleon too, it looks like a pretty solid game! Hope it gets some more coverage on NL.

Re: Nintendo President Satoru Iwata Passes Away Aged 55

I can't believe this news, RIP Iwata, thank you for everything! Condolences to his family and friends. As a gamer and huge Nintendo fan boy I greatly appreciate all he did for the company. His sense of humor hosting the Directs has been a personal favorite of mine. He will be greatly missed.

Re: Editorial: Cheer Up, There Are Some Exciting Games on the Way

@ThomasBW84

I am a huge Nintendo fan boy, and right now I'm kind of torn. I know there are some good games coming out, and I think the Metroid hate is childish and excessive (although it is frustrating that a new Metroid Prime-style game is not even in development). I still feel very let down by the show, especially after how good last year's was. I think that is what hurts most. Nintendo was on a roll, turning profits, announcing some great new games and IPs, and this extremely lackluster showing was very disheartening.

I am very worried about amiibo as well. I've always seen them as just a cash grab and now I'm very concerned that they will start making them required for games (e.g. Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival) and that is going to create a huge rift in the gaming community. This is a very big deal and we need gaming sites like NintendoLife and the community to express (intelligently) why this is not a good idea.

Re: Analyst Thinks Nintendo Is Already Winding Down Wii U Ahead Of Nintendo NX Launch

Oaf7724

This is silly. Honestly I don't know why everyone was so surprised by the announcement of NX. Nintendo has stated before that they start working on their next system right after they release their current one. NX has been in development since right after Wii U was released.

Also Nintendo has been pretty consistent with a 5-6 year gap between console releases. 1985 1991 1996 2001 2006 2012.

At the Nintendo World Store in NYC, they had Zelda, a few Lil Macs, and Diddy Kong. Picked up a Lil Mac, couldn't believe they were out of Luigi already. They were also out of Captain Falcon and Pit, as well as villager, wii fit trainer and marth, as you would expect.

They did have a fresh stock of the Gamecube controller adapters though, which was comforting.

Re: Talking Point: The Time Is Right For A Nintendo Phone

Oaf7724

I really don't think it would be a good idea.

It would take too much attention away from their home console / portable console business and frankly they need all the attention they can get currently.

Also look at Amazon's Fire phone. That came out with a lot of hooplah and a strong price tag not too long ago. Now it's on the verge of extinction and the price has been reduced drastically.
