The world is going amiibo-mad at the moment, and in this wave of hysteria, some retailers are releasing the 2nd wave of figurines a week earlier than originally planned here in the UK.
We picked up three of the new wave and because we're so nice, we've made this little video to show you what we think of them. You're welcome.

The Luigi amiibo I pre-ordered from Nintendo UK's store arrived today, though it's scheduled for a Friday release.
And I spotted a Zelda amiibo on the shelf at GAME on Saturday.
It's all pretty nice.
Does anyone know when the Pit amiibo comes out in North America?
I've only seen them in GAME so far, and they're still wanting £14.99 because they're profiteering scumbags. I'll buy from Toys 'R' Us or ShopTo.net.
I've locked wave 2 on Amazon for 11€ each. I canceled Pit yesterday though when I realized I don't really want him andI'm not really a fan of Kid Icarus.
I picked up Zelda on Friday and the rest are on preorder bar Luigi. I figured there was no rush picking him up, as I can't see him being discontinued any time soon.
I don't think they are out at America yet... My eyes are feasting on Captain Falcon amiibo.
I got Luigi and Pit last week, they're nice. I imagine Zelda will stick around for a while so I may get that her amiibo eventually as well for the actual rrp.
@NintendoHistory I believe it is the 19th. Diddy, Zelda and Mac can be found now but Luigi, Captain Falcon and Pit should be available on Friday. That is the info that I gathered anyway. Some retailers are breaking the street dates however. I picked up the first 3 on the 11th. I would suggest calling around every day to ask if the merchandiser has stocked them already.
The Captain Falcon skin on MK8 is fantastic looking. It may just pull me away from my yoshi bike/ yoshi gear combo!
My wife saw the original Liuigi in an ad yesterday and asked why he was in such a stupid position. When I showed her a photo of the actual figure she said they shouldnt have put him in such a stupid position if it needed that holder. I concur w/ her.
Zelda is the only one I cared about and she is ordered.
@rjejr It wouldn't be Luigi if he looked normal. This is his winning pose from Smash btw.
Other amiibos have that holder as well. Unfortunately those plastic holders aren't colorless. The one on my Link amiibo is transparent/yellow.
All mine arrived today they look great.
I'm hoping to pick up a Diddy Kong this week I noticed stock this weekend, but it was all taken up to pre orders. I saw Zelda and Mac as well so I didn't want to take any chances, so I picked those up. Hopefully I can beat everyone to Captain Falcon and Pit. Haha
going to best buy today during my lunch to see if they have any in stock.
@SKTTR - I know other amiibo have the stands but my wife only commented on Luigi. They all should just be transparent, not translucent, the colored ones on Link, Sarfox etc look utterly ridiculous

Received Pit today as he's a character I don't want to get discontinued, and Luigi because of the free Luigi hat promotion.
I got my Luigi today (which I've nicknamed Lugi ) and I FINALLY managed to reserve Villager and Marth for Friday. Just need Kirby and Wii Fit Trainer from Wave 1. Then, I can finish worrying about Wave 2.
For those from the UK disgusted by GAME's £14.99 price, check Argos. They've got an offer running, 2 for £21. Granted you're only saving about a £1, but it's better then spending £8 more. Not sure if the other will work with Wave 2 though and good luck finding Wave 1.
At the Nintendo World Store in NYC, they had Zelda, a few Lil Macs, and Diddy Kong. Picked up a Lil Mac, couldn't believe they were out of Luigi already. They were also out of Captain Falcon and Pit, as well as villager, wii fit trainer and marth, as you would expect.
They did have a fresh stock of the Gamecube controller adapters though, which was comforting.
I managed to snag Little Mac and Zelda when I had the chance. Diddy Kong doesn't release until Wednesday - Friday, depending on the retailer. The other three don't release until... No one knows when.
Just got all wave 3 except for little mac and they all look fantastic except for Zelda she looks a bit poor
very nice figures but Little mac is the one hard to get hold of

@NintendoHistory I've herd pit and captain falcon come out in NA this thur at walmart and Friday at other places
My son bought Zelda last night. It was the only figure from series 2 in stock at our local Target. We wouldn't let him buy a series 1 figure because he put some of those on his Christmas list.
....So we finally had a chance to try out an Amiibo. I was surprised by how well the figure adapted and leveled up to our playing style in Smash. My youngest son and I do team battles against Zelda and my oldest son and we get destroyed now.
Are only complaint is that Zelda does not unlock a suit in Kart.
Just picked up my wave 2 figures from Smyths Toys in the UK. On the shelves now!
