Chomping at the bit for this game. Very jealous of UK who've been playing it for a while already, and JPN who's forgotten about it already!

Re: Weirdness: Monster Hunter Series Producer Denies Existence of the 'Desire Sensor'

You know, I don't want to buy into this, but now that I think about it, when me and my friends play and one of us is searching for a particular item, often is the case where he does not get it and some of us who are not looking for it do get it.

And you can't give the item to your friend. I know the percentages for some items to drop are very low but still I seem to get a lot of very rare items when I am not even looking for them.

Got it the other night, it's on sale in NA til the 6th I believe, only $5! Love it so far. Was looking forward to getting it for a while, and when I saw the price drop it was just perfect.

Re: Nintendo 64x64: Buck Bumble

@Link506 it's just ratings from two different Nintendo 64 magazines.

I thought this game was pretty underrated! And say what you want about the theme, but I still remember it vividly 15 years later. My friends and I joke about it all the time.

Re: Watch Dogs Wii U Release Dates Confirmed

Oaf7724

This is a lose-lose for Ubisoft. Why would I buy a game from this publisher when they purposely held the finished product away from us for 2 months while all of the other consoles were able to play? Because of this, I won't buy, and if there are others that see this the same way, the game won't sell.

Re: Somebody At Ubisoft Really Doesn't Like Mario Kart 8's Mercedes-Benz DLC

Oaf7724

Honestly, as great as the idea of DLC for Mario Kart 8 is, I can't help but think that Nintendo is dropping the ball a little.

3 month's after the game's release, and in the middle of a summer dry spell, this would have been the absolute perfect time to update the roster and add more characters. Throwing in Diddy Kong, Dry Bones, Birdo, Petey Pirahna, etc. would give sales a nice little boost until Hyrule Warriors drops at the end of September and we roll into the busy fall/winter season.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Update & DLC Scheduled for 27th August

Wonder where the on-screen map will go that won't be in the way... Kind of feel it would take away from the big picture of the course.

Also I've always wondered why in multiplayer the person playing on the GamePad has to have all four players screens on the pad, why can't that just be a full screen of whoever is using the GamePad?

Re: Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley Re-Tools Its Item System

Oaf7724

I'm a little worried but I'd rather a game make changes then just rehash the same thing over and over. I'm upset about removing the tool upgrades though, but maybe there will be some kind of cool alternative. I just hope the game isn't mindlessly easy.

Looking forward to the review!

I watched the video for this on the eShop and thought it looked pretty good, now after reading all the positive reviews and comments I am definitely gonna get it!

Re: Iwata's Approval Rating Rises While Miyamoto's Drops Slightly

Oaf7724

While I agree that Robot and Guard looked a bit underwhelming, they are early in development and we don't even know in what capacity they will be released yet. But think about it. How many of Miyamoto's projects have been released with poor ratings and bad controls? Honestly maybe 1 with Wii Music? Everybody needs to relax and trust our boy. Remember when he first debuted Wind Waker? And everyone FREAKED out because the "graphics are so lame and cartoony?" Then it turned out to be one of the best Zelda's ever.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Successfully Wooed Some Wii U Doubters at E3

Oaf7724

Love this article. Great job!

I can't agree with this more. Nintendo needed this E3 to be big, and let's face it, they've failed to live up to standards in previous years at the Expo. But this year they more then nailed it. They stormed in with such swagger, they gained a lot of interest into the system, and they left E3 with their wheels fastened back on track. Bravo, jolly good show.

EDIT: P.S. LOVED the continuous coverage from Treehouse! Sure, some titles felt a bit dragged out, but it was 15+ hours of non stop gameplay demos, of pretty much everything they announced! The team did a great job.

Re: Talking Point: What We Expect From Nintendo at E3 2014

Oaf7724

Very anxious for the event! I thought Microsoft had a great presentation yesterday and Sony's was ok but Nintendo has a chance here to take the cake. I think if they confirm one of the four main IP rumors (Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero) they will have a successful presentation. Go Nintendo!

Re: Review: Tomodachi Life (3DS)

Oaf7724

Great review. I'm still not sure if I should pick this up yet, although using it as a nice break from a game I'm currently playing certainly sounds appealing. I did that with AC and it worked great.
