I was at NintendoWorld's Triple Launch Event last night, it was absolutely packed with Nintendo fanatics! The line was crazy but I finally got my hands on that Smash Bundle!!
I don't really have a problem with this. These execs are just doing their job, you need to believe that your system is the best, and to try and sell it as the best. The sales numbers will speak the truth. I really wish we could get NA/UK NPD figures weekly like we do from JPN....and not have them hidden from the public.
Throughout the history of my gaming life I've found that whenever I buy a controller not made by Nintendo, they would always break. I'm looking at you, Pelican & Mad Catz!!
I noted you mentioned it does not come with a power supply, but does it come with the plastic charging doc? If it's bigger then my standard 3DS then it won't fit in my current dock.
I'm from USA and I can't blame just the UK for scooping up sports games and FPS games, it's the same way here :^| Only some of us seem to be interested in new and unique adventure/exploration/rpg-ish games.
You know, I don't want to buy into this, but now that I think about it, when me and my friends play and one of us is searching for a particular item, often is the case where he does not get it and some of us who are not looking for it do get it.
And you can't give the item to your friend. I know the percentages for some items to drop are very low but still I seem to get a lot of very rare items when I am not even looking for them.
Got it the other night, it's on sale in NA til the 6th I believe, only $5! Love it so far. Was looking forward to getting it for a while, and when I saw the price drop it was just perfect.
@Link506 it's just ratings from two different Nintendo 64 magazines.
I thought this game was pretty underrated! And say what you want about the theme, but I still remember it vividly 15 years later. My friends and I joke about it all the time.
This is a lose-lose for Ubisoft. Why would I buy a game from this publisher when they purposely held the finished product away from us for 2 months while all of the other consoles were able to play? Because of this, I won't buy, and if there are others that see this the same way, the game won't sell.
Honestly, as great as the idea of DLC for Mario Kart 8 is, I can't help but think that Nintendo is dropping the ball a little.
3 month's after the game's release, and in the middle of a summer dry spell, this would have been the absolute perfect time to update the roster and add more characters. Throwing in Diddy Kong, Dry Bones, Birdo, Petey Pirahna, etc. would give sales a nice little boost until Hyrule Warriors drops at the end of September and we roll into the busy fall/winter season.
I would not mind the prices as much if Nintendo incorporated cross-buy. We need an account where we can access our downloads on multiple Nintendo devices.
Wonder where the on-screen map will go that won't be in the way... Kind of feel it would take away from the big picture of the course.
Also I've always wondered why in multiplayer the person playing on the GamePad has to have all four players screens on the pad, why can't that just be a full screen of whoever is using the GamePad?
Been playing this since it came out in North America in Feb. 65+ hours and still not finished...The second half of the game is a grind but overall a fantastic turn-based RPG! Looking forward to more from Square.
I'm a little worried but I'd rather a game make changes then just rehash the same thing over and over. I'm upset about removing the tool upgrades though, but maybe there will be some kind of cool alternative. I just hope the game isn't mindlessly easy.
I watched the video for this on the eShop and thought it looked pretty good, now after reading all the positive reviews and comments I am definitely gonna get it!
I received a Welcome code from my friend and completed the demo, but I can't figure out how to send him one of my Panda Suits as a thank you. Does anybody know how?
While I agree that Robot and Guard looked a bit underwhelming, they are early in development and we don't even know in what capacity they will be released yet. But think about it. How many of Miyamoto's projects have been released with poor ratings and bad controls? Honestly maybe 1 with Wii Music? Everybody needs to relax and trust our boy. Remember when he first debuted Wind Waker? And everyone FREAKED out because the "graphics are so lame and cartoony?" Then it turned out to be one of the best Zelda's ever.
I can't agree with this more. Nintendo needed this E3 to be big, and let's face it, they've failed to live up to standards in previous years at the Expo. But this year they more then nailed it. They stormed in with such swagger, they gained a lot of interest into the system, and they left E3 with their wheels fastened back on track. Bravo, jolly good show.
EDIT: P.S. LOVED the continuous coverage from Treehouse! Sure, some titles felt a bit dragged out, but it was 15+ hours of non stop gameplay demos, of pretty much everything they announced! The team did a great job.
Very anxious for the event! I thought Microsoft had a great presentation yesterday and Sony's was ok but Nintendo has a chance here to take the cake. I think if they confirm one of the four main IP rumors (Zelda, Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero) they will have a successful presentation. Go Nintendo!
Great review. I'm still not sure if I should pick this up yet, although using it as a nice break from a game I'm currently playing certainly sounds appealing. I did that with AC and it worked great.

all that and he still looks 20 years younger then he really is!
This man needs a few months off. What he's about to do for the Wii U is going to be extraordinary.

Chomping at the bit for this game. Very jealous of UK who've been playing it for a while already, and JPN who's forgotten about it already!
