Anyone think this is a game worth buying or should I just hold off?

Nintendo doesn't put out bangers like they used to... They got the odd one here and there, but to say that "Nintendo continually dominates with outstanding games" is a bit of an over exaggeration.

These numbers seem a bit off BF6 only 9k sales for ps5. BF6 sold 7mill in it's first 3 days of release , and is estimated to be 1.6mill sales on ps5 alone. Anyways feeling sorry for the people who bought pokemon.

@larryisaman handhelds in North America are niche in general they're designed for an Asian market that spends most of their time on transit. In NA It's great for kids, being dragged around by their parents, not much else. As an adult I would rather the flexibility, if windows is an issue for you, you could always try linux.

So far 19% says good 16% says great... With having only 2 games released Nintendo fans must have zero expectations from Nintendo...

@michellelynn0976 yeah i mean it was supposed to be a switch 1 game, and they purposely held off until switch 2... Like they did with BOTW which was a Wii U game , that they held off till switch 1 release. Prime should have definitely came out before switch 2 was released...

Not much considering Nintendo current track record... but whatever it is I'll probably scalpt it. Hopefully a special edition switch 2. I miss all those fun colors from the N64/Gameboy Pocket/Colour days.

You shouldn't need to pay for a switch 2 edition to play your switch 1 game... This is a giant gimmick to make you pay for backwards compatibility..

@Friendly We're still waiting for Metroid 4. Prime was a GameCube remake... Fire emblem hasn't been good since snes. You're missing the point none of those games you listed made it on this list... Nintendo doesn't make bangers anymore... They shouldn't have lost RARE.

@Friendly name them? Nintendo made 12 games in 2022, 12 in 2023 and 9 in 2024... They aim for 1 per month...

Well look what they're forced to play... Out of the 40 games listed I only see 9 switch games, and switch 2 only has 2 games... Nintendo needs to start making some games, even the switch 1 lineup is lack luster... Only bangers there was Mario Odyssey, MarioKart8D, Smash Bros, animal crossing, and BOTW ... 3 of which were WiiU remakes...

Maybe Nintendo should learn how to do free content updates.. like zero content for either of the lastest mario parties...

@ShieldHero I liked that, that's a good reply. Although, I agree some people do use Nintendo for graphics, some do not. For example I use my PC for heavy graphically games, but was looking forward to finally playing totk at 1080@60fps (I couldn't care less about 1440 or 4k for Nintendo first party games.) But at the current price point its not worth a 30fps upgrade unfortunately... And also I think the "experience" was greatly superior on the Switch 1 due to how new everything about it was.
