but don't you think that these people really don't care if Nintendo shows the Direct or not? I can't believe that these affected are having video games on their minds right now.
But I could understand that Nintendo wants to show respect by not releasing the video - so basically it is fine and their right to do(actually anytime)
I think it is sad that people suffer from that earthquake and I wish them all the best but natural disasters happen every day around the world - so I don't see what makes this one more important to make them delay anything. Personally I don't care if the presentation is tomorrow or next week or so but I just can't understand the reasoning or connection to that specific incident.
Just finished with Messenger (100%) - great game and very captivating. If you encounter slowdowns (rarely), I found out that it is best to completely shut down your Switch and then reload the game. Slowdowns should be gone now. I wish I tried it out before. During one section I tried to get a green medal but due to slowdowns the Switch didn't want to recognize my button inputs. I took me over an hour to finally succeed.
These slowdowns happend only twice. I am not sure why. There weren't that many sprites on the screen either.
EDIT:
I also encountered two glitches. Twice I got stuck above the screen. I was able to go to the next screen until it glitched out and I had to exit the game. There was no way of returning to safe ground. Strangely, after reloading, my save file showed that I only played 6 hrs and I am pretty sure that before the glitch the counter showed morethan 13 hrs.
There is a lot of content but optional. I played through the main story and all the DLC in 60 hours and in that time-frame I already did some sidequests. So it is actually up to you how much time you want to spend with it. I stopped playing after the main stories have finished but I can see myself to return to Skyrim because there are places I haven't yet visited.
great news - holding off since the original release on Wii U - besides the main campaign, I haven't played any of the other DLCs - so it justifies a physical release.
hmm - not sure if I want to spoil myself. Currently I am playing the X Collections and I am in the middle of X6.
Have to say that I prefer the SNES games of X series. Especially X5 and 6 are too convoluted with all the armors. You barely use X's normal form. Right now, these are my least favorite games of the series. But I have never played X7 so maybe that will change. X8 is fine.
Even my kids (1 and 3) know this one - best movie out of all of them. Both are very popular in Germany as well. I have been watching their movies since I was a kid. Great plain funny movies.
Just found out that you can switch between Megaman X and Rockman X by pressing Y when selecting a title which also changes the language to Japanese. So the English and Japanese ROMs are both included. Well that bodes well for the Japanese retail version.
@Rayquaza2510 Well, how do I phrase it - the download version also states that all the languages are supported which is true for the menu. But in language settings it states that even though you switch to German, Italian or whatsoever the in-game texts won't change and remains English. Your link doesn't say anything about the language of in-game texts. So I have really doubts for the Japanese release to have English texts.
Absolutely. I mean, why wouldn't be there the option to toggle between Japanese and English versions in the international release as well. They did it with the first legacy collections but this time you can choose between many languages for the menu but not in-game texts which remain in English. So I highly doubt that the Japanese versions have English texts but I wouldn't mind being wrong.
@Rayquaza2510 Is the English language (in-game text) confirmed? Please do provide a source cause play Asia told me that in game texts are only in Japanese
I finished the game with 102% beating the true end boss and the Nightmare Grimm in 44 hrs - couple of mask and vessel shards that I missed but I won't bother getting the 106% completion rate. Difficult but great game
@Henmii sometimes it does make sense to pre order downloads. I pre-order the digital versions of Megaman X Collections to pre download it, because I will be on vacation when they get released. And in order to play the collections on vacation, I have to download it now, because I don't know how fast the download speed will be, but I am pretty sure that it will be fast enough to check if I can play it.
I am already looking forward to enough games that keep me occupied throughout 2018 (Megaman X collections, Megaman 11, Wolfenstein, Smash) - but I can imagine that this year Nintendo is showing some kind of direct around Gamescom to highlight some games like the Gunvolt Spin Off with Copen, the Messenger which both are also on my list. So in my opinion, last year and this year were great for Nintendo only players.
@16bitdave Glad to be of help and enjoy the game. I am still on the fence. If anybody could tell me that if you purchase the UK edition and use it in Germany so you can play in English, I would be eager to order.
@16bitdave and @Laxeybobby Just reset your switch (no factory reset) and start up the game - same issues where present with Doom so I guess this is the same here.
me too - N64 graphics just aren't as beautiful as 8-bit/16-bit sprites as well as Gamecube games. I wouldn't say no to Paper Mario, Megaman Legends 1+2, though
Really? In my opinion Mighty No. 9 looked much better. The graphics and art style somehow doesn't match. The physics are also not that great, for instance the way the candle holder is destroyed looks kinda in slow motion.
Inti Creates's version looks that much better in comparison.
@zool Good priced? In my opinion, they could have charged 50€ easily. It has a lot of content , very high production value. Compared to Metroid games which cost 40 - 50 € you have a much deeper experience here. I am almost done with the game, but have already played for more thaN 32 hours. Before I am going to beat the boss I would like to find a couple of power ups thus you can add a few hours. Quite meaty for a 15€ game. And also very well done.
Can't wait for 11 - the minor chances are okay, I guess. Don't really care as long as it doesn't look like the new anime or has all the other changes like in the anime
@Not_Soos what smaller experience - Hollow Knight is a very huge game that don't have to hide behind Mario and Zelda or in this case Metroid. There is absolutely no difference in production value between this indie game and a 1st party game. And for Hollow Knight quick game sessions is not recommended if you want to progress in this game and do not want to get lost.
@Expa0 you should - like many others here, I am really hooked and find myself having problems to stop playing. It is just that good. I usually do not buy indie games but this one really doesn't feel like one. And it has a lot of content.
Personally, for me it is 10/10 - in my opinion a better crafted Metroid-like game than Metroid Returns on the 3DS which was also good but not that good in comparison.
@Dizzy_Boy same here - it is very slow paced and without gyro controls - it is clunky. Doom became so much better after adding gyro - but in contrast to Fortnite it has always been fast.
I think Fortnite is already deleted on my system or is going to be.
tried Fortnite for the first time, yesterday and just can't understand its appeal. After a couple of rounds I found it very slow paced and have seen just a few opponents before I was shot. It really is not my cup of tea.
I would like to have a fun NHL game like Mario Strikers just with hockey without a complicated button layout. Pass, shoot and a tackle button would be enough.
@mauhlin12 It is actually easier to farm bolts at cloud man's stage destroying the small birds from the big egg. That way you get 999 bolts in no time.
Again, I have to defeat all robot masters again and again but I think Wily is easier this time around - well, at least the first version. I only tried the second form once with barely any health left.
Even though I played through all games before, I didn't remember much of 8 and 7 as well as 9 and 10. this time I am playing through 9 and 10 with Megaman and Protoman/Bass
@mauhlin12 Good for you. Megaman is also my favorite Serie but I live in Germany so getting the amiibo is unfortunately not an option.
Btw: I finally beat Megaman 7 but I created a checkpoint after the 8 robot masters. After I don't know how many tries I lost patience. And even then it took me a lot of lives to get the timing of Wily's last incarnation right to beat him. But when I did get it right it felt great. I am currently at the Wily stages in 8. But I have to say that I prefer the 8 - bit graphics
@mauhlin12 Now I know what you are talking about - I currently have problems with Wily's second form after beating the 8 robot masters. Man I forgot how difficult it is to evade the four bullets.
I'm playing Megaman Legacy Collection 1+2 - just have to finish 6 before moving on to the next collection. I'd never understood why so many dislike 5 and 6 - I still think they are great! Especially 6 offers something new with Rush Jet and Power. 5' end boss was actually one of the most difficult of all of the NES entries.
I am really impressed how much fun the challenges are - thought I wouldn't be bothered but after playing MM2 I tried out the first MM2 based remixed levels. Really fun.
How long are the loading times? The personal perception differs for each player. I have no problems with Zelda's or Doom's loading times but a friend of mine just can't stand them because for him they are too long. So it would be nice to state how long these are.
@doctommaso if that is true, this would be extremely bad. But I don't trust people working at customer service - usually they are not well informed. I am still convinced that the main account plus its profiles can use the internet for 19€. If not then Nintendo is making a huge mistake in my opinion
I really hope that these rumours are not true. I'd rather have Mario Kart 9 and a new Sonic Racing game is also on a horizon so this one sounds the least interesting. Star Fox just doesn't stand a chance against the other two mascots and I for one don't need another racing game.

I like it and hopefully the game is as good as Wooly World - which had quite difficult levels when you tried to 100% it

Megaman X2 - which is much harder than X1 - in my opinion. Even that heart upgrades are more difficult to obtain.
