Re: Cult RPG Hit Undertale Arrives In North America And Europe On 18th September

Namco

I kinda liked it the first playthrough, I absolutely loved it the second. This game has pretty amazing replay value. This game isn't just to be praised for story or gameplay. There's more to it than that. The music for example exceeded my expectations. The game also let's the player make significant choices. I call the story okay... rather it's the characters that make undertale so compelling. That's how I view Undertale.

Game Over: How Nintendo Zapped an American Industry, Captured Your Dollars, Enslaved Your Children, Broke Families Apart, Killed Your Wallet, Destroyed All Your Hopes and Dreams, and Shrouded the World into Eternal Damnation.

Re: Studio Ghibli-Inspired Adventure Way To The Woods Could Be Switch-Bound

Namco

@NapalmPsalm That's true, I just don't get a Ghibli vibe from the trailer. I'm playing Ni No Kuni 2 at the moment and even though it looks exactly like a Ghibli movie it doesn't recreate the feeling. I guess maybe that has something to do with nostalgia.

@Joeynator3000 Not sure if that is adressed to me, there are only 3 or 4 movies I haven't seen.

Re: Breath of the Wild Developers Discuss the Zelda Timeline

Namco

I considered it was a reversed Ocarina of Time as well. After the timeline was torn apart it steadily collided again and Breath of the Wild is the new start of a single timeline.

I also consider the theory that Breath of the Wild is a fresh start entirely, and previous Zelda stories are legends long lost. They say it's left to the imagination and they don't seem too fond of the whole timeline concept in general so I don't think it's too far-fetched

Re: Editorial: Trying to Play Monster Hunter XX in Japanese on the Nintendo Switch

Namco

I tried the Monster Hunter World beta and it plays excellent. But I don't agree that the PS4 is the right system for a HD Monster Hunter. In my opinion that would certainly be Switch. I want to play locally with friends and the Switch is easy to take with me even with the dock, I travel a lot and I don't always play behind the same monitor. A Switch Monster Hunter wouldn't look as stunning as World on PS4 but my experience would be better thanks to more play options, I think. Also I agree World is a bit mainstream compared to previous titles... why so serious? For example I miss the adventurous intro music and I hardly notice my palico during quests. (Generations was like constant meowing)

Re: Mega Man 11 Confirmed For Switch In 2018

Namco

Capcom may claim the title of my favourite game developer if this and Monster Hunter World turn out to be great games. I don't think MHW will dissapoint it might even become my favourite game of 2018, I see Capcom going in the right direction. I pray they deliver.

Re: It's Film vs. Book in the Next European Splatoon 2 Splatfest

Namco

@shaneoh
Did you just say the Lord of the Rings movies are better than the books? The books have so much more to offer. The movies spend a lot of time on the battles, though the movies are quite long the books do a way better job of immersing you into middle earth. Characters, story, excitement not a single thing lacks in the books. Your statement is almost enough reason for me to choose team book

Re: Random: Super Mario Odyssey Glitch Allows Cappy To Kill Mario

Namco

Already thought of a plot:

Tiara completely takes over Peach and rules the Mushroom Kingdom, her plan is to take over the world. Cappy kills Mario and sides with his sister. He helps her take over enemy bases by infiltrating them with captured guards until every building has a giant cap on it. It all began with Mario 100% completing Odyssey...

Re: Review: Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers (Switch)

Namco

Yeah, lost fate the minute I saw uncle grandpa...

I love the idea of a 2D brawler with iconic cartoon characters from all networks, if it contained all my favourite characters it would potentially be my favourite game ever. Sadly it's an impossible crossover thanks to licenses and stuff.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Direct Coming November 7th

Namco

@ShadJV Let me weirdly describe how I feel about payed add-ons:

In reality, DLC isn't like ordering dessert, nowadays you order a hamburger and they leave out the pickles and cheddar cheese, it still tastes good but they could've included it. You can't really argue that it's incomplete or that they left it out on purpose. But they are money driven for a fact, perhaps that's why the hamburger wasn't as wholly as it could be. Also instead of upgrading my hamburger I prefer them making me another (sequel) Free extra cheddar cheese that is something I can really appreciate.

Re: Here Are the Key Lessons that Nintendo Learned from the Wii U

Namco

@SLIGEACH_EIRE
The Wii U gamepad was an excellent controller. But every controller needs getting used to. If you actually played a Switch game for a decent while you'll notice that eventually you get the hang of it even with huge hands, and I can say that after playing over 250+ hours. In regard of size it's arguably better than holding a 3DS. I have a pro controller but only use it for big games like Breath of the Wild and Splatoon, but even those games play just fine with joy-cons. Don't be so quick to judge and don't be so easily influenced by what you come across on the internet, join the future!

Re: Review: Stardew Valley (Switch eShop)

Namco

I don't think a game with so many unresolved issues like bugs and saving time should get a 9/10. I'll wait with my purchase. I don't need to play this game right away, I'm likely occupied with other games until next year.

Re: Pokémon Ultra Sun And Moon Gets New Trailer And A Fresh Beast

Namco

Already bought 3 Pokémon main games for my 3DS, I would've loved to go back to Sun & Moon if this were DLC, like an Ultra upgrade

I simply don't have the motivation to train another team from the ground up. The story may be very different but ultimately it's still another version of Sun & Moon. (see what I did there?)
