Re: Review: Call Of Cthulhu - Oppressive Cosmic Horror That's Plagued By Problems

Morrow

If a game is taking place back in older times, it wouldn't make sense to have a PC filled world. That would be stupid, lol. It isn't accurate. If Lovecraft was racist, then sounds like they are just being true to the narrative. Doesn't mean the company is racist, lol.

Racism is wrong, I agree, but in games? Eh....it's a little harder to fight against. What if a company wants to make a racist char, for people to intentionally hate?
You got problems with GTA too NintendoLife? That has murder, beating up strippers, running over old people, really anything.
It's just a game. Calm yo tits.

Re: Koji Igarashi Didn't Expect The Switch Version Of Bloodstained To Be "As Bad" As It Was At Launch

Morrow

@QuickSilver88 Agreed. Warframe is 60 fps and looks great! Paladins is 60 fps and looks almost exactly the same as the ps4 version. It CAN be done. Sure, it isn't going to look AS pretty as a Ps4 or PC version, but it should still look extremely similar, and play at a locked 60 fps. There's no excuse for this game.

Yeah, it sold better, but they were expecting game buster sales, which is ridiculous, for how little they tried with it. They think they can give us a trash port, and it will sell well. Smh. Exactly. They were just relying on the love of Castlevania fans on Nintendo, to carry the sales, without effort on making it a solid and finished game.

Morrow

'What?? I put a bad port and it isn't selling well?! How dare these ungrateful Nintendo fans not buy my product! They should feel glad it is even on their weaker platform!'

This is what I got from what he said. It would have sold better if they tried more on the Switch version before releasing it. There's a lot more demanding games in terms of graphics and gameplay than his Bloodstained game. Sorry, but he has no excuse for this one.

I'll buy it when they are finished with everything. Which will prob take 2 years at this rate, lol.

@liveswired I love how you mistake serious for getting worked up. I'm not stressed over it. I don't lose sleep over it. I dont think about it everyday. So no, I'm not worked up about it, lol.

I WAS going to buy this game until it turned out to be trash at launch, with lousy devs behind the wheel. Now I have no interest in it.

Also, it's important to be open about talking about bad busniess practices. Things only change if people speak up and demand change. However it's a lost cause with EA. Unless everyone boycotted them and stopped buying their games, they won't change.

However, even some companies that make constant mistakes can make amazing things, when the fans speak up. Take Ubisoft with Rainbow Six Siege for example.

With NMS, you are right. They did eventually give what they promised. However, not always is this the case with the greedy companies. EA games don't get improved ---or only temporarily. Ex:Star Wars Battlefront 2---people got ticked about how they handled the Loot Boxes. Then after a LONG time, they removed them -Temporairly-. They brought them back again.

Trust me, if you pay attention to EA, you would realize how trash it is.

Look I'm not trying to annoy you. The reason I say your opinion is toxic for the community, is because you don't care about change for the better. Wouldn't it be nice to have all AAA games be actually great, instead of mostly trash?

Here come the classic triggered FE fans who will say you aren't a true FE fan until you play insert title here .

I for one, am happy to see this title do so well. It's an amazing game, and much better than Fates, and even Awakening imo.

(Although Awakening will always deserve the most respect out of the series, since it was the title that saved the series.)

Re: Power Stone Producer Would Love To See A New Entry On Nintendo Switch

Powerstone looks like one of the best 3D fighters (or as people say 'arena brawlers'.) Compared to stuff like J-Stars Victory VS----is Powerstone still fun to play to this day? Or is it best to pass for other newer 3D fighters? (Yes I know people consider Tekken/SF 3D because the models are, but they move in two dimensions, so it's still a 2D gameplay, therefore, 2D fighter. 2.5D more accurate, since it has the models.)

Re: Video: DOOM Eternal's 2-v-1 Multiplayer Battlemode Looks Brutally Brilliant

Morrow

They should add a 2v4 option. cooperation only on the demon side would make the human side feel more like playing the campaign than actual multiplayer. More players the better.
I liked playing the first Doom remake MP, but this one seems a lot more barebones than that. I believe there was 3 MP game modes in the first, and now there's only this 1v2 in Eternal?

@liveswired There's nothing wrong with taking any hobby serious. Being serious in hobbies is how athletes are born. It's how professional gamers are made. If no one took their hobbies serious, tournaments wouldn't exist. You need to train for tournaments, and if no one trained, everyone would be just average or terrible. What fun would that be to watch?

There's a difference between taking something serious, and thinking it's life or death. There's more people who care about these topics, than gamers like you who don't. We are the consumers, we are the voice. If we don't care, they won't either.
The better companies listen to fan feedback and actually IMPROVE their game. If none of their fans would never give any feedback (aka, also taking it seriously), they would have never improved it in the first place.

You have every right to feel that way, but just know your opinion is toxic for the community. It may not seem like it, but gamers like you who don't care, make it much easier for shitty practices to happen, and thrive.

I'm trying to encourage people to play more games that deserve attention and respect. At the end of the day, if there is an awesome game made by a shitty company? Buy it used. Then they don't get any of the profits. Then everyone wins. You get to play the game from the terrible company, and the terrible company loses money and sales.

Surely if you don't care about this stuff, then buying it cheaper would be more logical for you. Why support them when you don't care either way? If you don't care, buying new games is pointless.

Re: Hello Games Founder Sean Murray Shows Interest In No Man's Sky Switch Port

@liveswired Stop letting companies walk all over you, and forgiving them. It's -okay- to have big ambitions, but it's not okay to not deliver on those ambitions. You have to be upfront and honest with your community. That's the best way to succeed.
It would have been more forgivable if they told their community they would eventually release it in patches over time, but they didn't tell anything. They just stayed silent. That is not a good tactic for them or their community.

Then they try to damage control by saying the most generic apology ever, after the 3-4 months of silence. Gamers need to learn to never give companies a foot, because they will take a mile. It's okay to screw up. Sh*t happens. However, it's not okay to lie and ignore your community.
That is one of the biggest anti-consumer moves you can make.

EA Games used to be a great company early on, but slowly they made bad mistake after bad mistake and their fans let them get away with it (early on). Now look how it is. One of the worst (if not worst) video game company on the planet. It's an extreme example, but EA isn't the only example.

There are many companies these days (mainly AAA NA devs) that practically spit on their fan bases. That's one reason people love indie games so much. It's because the developers are usually [but not always] amazing and interact with their community VERY openly.

You can't please everyone, but being open and honest is a good start. One that all companies should have. Maybe then we could have better communities, and less bad games.

Re: Hello Games Founder Sean Murray Shows Interest In No Man's Sky Switch Port

Morrow

There is No Man that wants that Sky on Switch. I don't care how well they fixed the game. It doesn't excuse the unkept promise during launch, and the 3-4 months of silence from the devs. It is such a sh*tty company, that they had like 4 people leave, and they are only a 25 person company!
They did a classic evil company trick----give you an incomplete game, go silent, receive backlash and then add it in later, to make it seem like they are the good guys all along.

A GOOD company would have had it in there to begin with, like they promised

NintendoLife reviewers in a nutshell- Oh no, a game has fan service! SHAME ON YOU FOR RELEASING AN UN-HOLY PRODUCT ON SWITCH! NOT ON MY CHRISTIAN CONSOLE!
Like seriously, if you hate fan service, you are the WRONG person to be reviewing them. You're just wasting your time, and everyone else's. Lol.
It's not just about fan service, what if a reviewer on here hated first person shooters, but rated one? It would seem like a bad idea right? That's my point.

Re: Luigi's Mansion 3 Will Officially Haunt Your Switch This October

@Nico07 Get a cheaper Halloween costume, or use an older one you already have. That will save some money. If hosting parties, buy off brand items to save even more money. If going to one, don't buy anything to bring. Not every single person has to bring something.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
