@SBandy My annoyance is more towards the company than the game itself being ported. If at launch they announced it as a time exclusive, I wouldn't be annoyed at all. I just want companies to be honest and upfront with their consumer base. I buy lots of third party games on Switch, but the reason I'm on it is for the exclusives. What is so wrong about wanting developers to be honest with the people buying their games? I bought Valkyria 4 collectors edition on Switch as an example. That was available on all platforms, but I bought it on Switch. I'm fine with that because they didn't try to trick their audience on saying it's available on only one platform then backpedaling later on.
@SBandy As long as Nintendo keeps their IPs, I'll stay with Nintendo. It's these loss of exclusives that have me worried that they might eventually multi-plat first party exclusives. Cuphead was never an exclusive, because it was on PC as well. It was a console exclusive, but not a true exclusive. I only care about true exclusives, game that are only on a single platform.
@kobashi100 What if second party is next? Even third party exclusives stayed as exclusives in previous console generations. However, current gen is throwing exclusives out the window.
@SBandy you don't understand because you are unwilling to see another person's take on this. I care about exclusives. I only buy consoles for exclusives. Two got taken away, and is making me concerned that this could be the future of Nintendo. Nintendo got a new boss, so we don't know yet how things will turn out yet. My retort to you is, why would someone over the age of 10 call someone an idiot, and tell them to get a life, over games?
@Abeedo Another person who only read what they wanted to. I said I would throw it out if it lost all it's exclusives. Or at least if they threw out all the ones I care about. As long as they keep their IPs I'll keep it. But this is starting to concern me for the IPs future as exclusives.
@kobashi100 Actually, I did. I was only slightly interested. I bought it to support Switch exclusives, so you could imagine my annoyance when I could have skipped on it, since it wasn't an exclusive after all.
@SBandy Bro you should be a comedian, lol. I see you got jokes. The biggest joke is seeing comments online and assuming you know how a person lives. For calling me an idiot, you sure did something pretty stupid there.
@SBandy I have a life, but thanks for the concern dude. If you hate what I'm saying, welcome to the console industry. A lot of people share my feelings on it, and a lot don't. Some people care about exclusives, and some people don't and just want to play on their platform of choice.
@Kalmaro Thank you! Someone who understands. Mario Odyssey sold 16 million, BoTW sold 14 million, Xenoblade 2 sold 1.5 mill, exc. People are buying the system because of the games (BoTW is on Wii u but that system is trash and has no exclusives on it anymore besides Xenoblade X)
@yuwarite Yes, and you make the best argument out of all these people. However, I don't like how they are treating consumers. You know I never once in my life bought an EA game? Because they treat their consumer base like trash. I don't support dishonest developers. If they want it to be multi-plat, that's fine with be, but they need to speak up before it launches. The only guess I can get is if it was going be a switch exclusive, but they couldn't keep it as such for the lack of sales. However, if that was the case, they could have said that too
@kobashi100 Actually a lot of people care about exclusives. There are many people that buy consoles soley for exclusives. Me being one of them. I didn't buy an Xbox One because it has no exclusives. You can play any of it's games on PC.
@IHateTombs I wasn't freaking out. I put caps to get people's attention on what to read so they don't skip on reading it. I basically got asked the same question multiple times and it got annoying. Considering I'm reading everything that everyone else sends me, I want the same respect back.
@Sunanootoko Man you got to read. I said I put caps because I was trying to get people to stop asking me the same question I already answered a few times over. I wasn't mad at them, I put caps to make people read it so they would see I answered their question
@yuwarite I feel like no one is reading my whole comments, lol. I will say this only one more time, and will cap the important part so everyone notices it and stops talking about the same thing. I DONT MIND TIMED EXCLUSIVES IF THEY ARE UPFRONT ABOUT IT. I AM ANNOYED BECAUSE THEY WERENT. THEY SAID IT WAS AN EXCLUSIVE AND THEN LATER TOOK IT AWAY. THAT IS THE PROBLEM I HAVE. IF YOU SAY ITS AN EXCLUSIVE, DONT TAKE IT AWAY LATER. IF YOU WANT IT TO BE A TIMED EXCLUSIVE, THEN BE HONEST WITH YOUR PLAYER BASE AND LET THEM KNOW BEFORE THE GAME COMES OUT. (Again, I capped so everyone notices, because I'm being asked the same thing over and over.)
@LzWinky I didn't ignore anything. Like I said, I don't mind timed exclusives, as long as they are upfront about it. Like 'play Destiny first on Ps4'. Honesty is what I care about, and I'm tired of underhanded tricks to make companies the most money.
@Borngis Clearly you don't see the difference between being annoyed and throwing a tantrum. Nintendo and Sony are awesome because of their exclusives. If everyone got to play everything, we all mine as well be on PC. Which is not a future I want for gaming.
@MsJubilee I only care about consoles for exclusives. If the game industry gave up on exclusives, I would give up on consoles. It's not being childish, MANY people care for exclusives. I'm fine with games being for all systems, ONLY if it was first announced as such, or be honest and say it will be a timed exclusive. What I hate is when they lie and say it's only for one platform, and then later reveal it to only be a timed exclusive. It's not being honest. If they want it to be multi-plat, then say it from the beginning. If they want it to be an exclusive, keep it as such forever.
@Borngis I disagree. Im only a console player for exclusives. If the console industry gave up on exclusives, I would toss all current and future consoles and never buy them again. I care about Sony exclusives, and I care about Nintendo exclusives. We shouldn't be able to play each other's games. Want Sony IPs? Get a PlayStation. Want Nintendo IPs? Get a Switch. Sure, we don't lose the game to play, but we do lose it as an exclusive, And that's the point I care about.
Is this how third parties plan to treat Nintendo when they aren't paying for their games? I'm already sick of these timed exclusive games. First Octopath, and now Travis Strikes Again? Stop getting rid of our exclusives. The minute Switch loses all of its exclusives, is the minute I toss it out the window. PS4 and PC has enough games. Let Switch build up it's library.
@Blofse You need to make a new Nintendo account and make the region Japan. then connect it to your switch and you will be able to use both profiles on the same Switch console. You can't have one profile access multiple regions. One profile per region.
I'll download the free version until I have the money to import the physical version. With so many good games coming out the next few months, it's going to leave my wallet running thin.
@retro_player_22 SEGA is in debt for a lot more reasons than just mobile gaming. Too many exclusives(they can make exclusives but they need to make a lot less.), too many japanese only games (such as phantasy star online 2), too much sonic focus, and making too many games in short spans.
@Heavyarms55 Zodiac Age's icon is actually really beautiful. It's the reverse cover art on the physical copy, show casing the entire party, hand drawn by one of the original FF illustrators.
I agree with you. It's annoying but I can deal with it as well.
I'm mixed. I can deal with the icon if it's not pixelated, however, I do always wish that devs work better on some of their icons. I would like to see custom folders on Switch menu, because I like to categorize my games by genre, favorite, and title.
Hoping it will make it's way to the west? ...It's Yo-Kai watch. Also, It's an action rpg, which suites western tastes more than Japanese. It's more like WHEN it's coming to NA, not if.
I've waited for the physical version, so I haven't played it yet. Waiting for it to come in the mail soon. I'm glad I waited since patches and new content has been added.
@Trajan Oh, ok. Well, that's why you can't find anyone online, lol. The ps4 version got swamped behind all the bigger games that came out, and the Anthem controversy. Literally I saw many ps4 users say "wait, God Eater 3 came out?" and "There is a third one?". Quite a few people that would have bought it, didn't even know it existed, because it wasn't being talked about, because of all the bigger games.
@rhyeee3216 Yes, yes, and more yes. It's the best way to determine if you want a game or not. first watch a trailer, then play a demo, and then see a final gameplay trailer on release day. See how the gameplay release trailer looks in comparison to the demo. If both are good, it's a solid purchase.
@Trajan Monster Hunter is more simplistic, and some people are attracted to it's base system value. You are a Hunter, killing monsters to save villagers and make some coin. You aren't some super powered hero in Monster Hunter, unlike how in God Eater you have super strength, faster reflexes, and better recovery than average humans.
