@BulbasaurusRex You are basically playing the anime with the Naruto and One Piece games. There is very minor differences in story from the games to the anime. The only Naruto game I know of that breaks away from the anime is Naruto: DragonBlade Chronicles---which is actually my favorite Naruto game. Because it's entirely it's own original story.
I don't want to play the anime, I want to play original stories.
@Octane to you the loading times would be horrendous. To most sane human beings, it would be perfectly fine. I have a strong feeling you are one of those crazy people who would do anything for that 2 second faster loading times, lol. I don't care about which is faster when it means having to go through an installation process. If it was fully on the disc, it would have been optional to use the installation. They aren't optional.
@Snakesglowcaps I bought a lot of games on Nintendo day one, and most I didn't even install patches for when I first played them. They played fine. So at least for Switch games (except AAA games like Doom), they don't need the patches to enjoy the game. It just enhances the experience, but the experiences were fine without it
@Trajan I understand it more than you do apparently, lol. Also, I'm not complaining. I got rid of my PS4 long ago. I'm explaining the difference between fully physical, fake physical, and partial physical.
@Octane I owned Xenoblade X. It didn't need the download packs, it was just if you WANTED it to load faster. It was an optional download that you got from the dlc menu in the eShop. It wasn't something that popped up when you started the game.
Dude, what are you smoking? I have been talking about physical this entire time. I made some comparisons to digital, but I hate digital games. Everything I mentioned on Switch, was about physical, not digital.
Okay, now this is just getting sad. Are you seriously reaching that bad? Lol. VHS was ancient technology, on a different hardware than disc. You can't compare Blu-Ray to damn VHS, lol. Tech has evolved, and so too has ways for us to view media. That's why DVDs replaced VHS. We didn't have to rewind, and they were more compact, and cheaper. Blu-ray is stronger than dvd. Yes, current gens couldn't run on a single disc if it was last gen discs. But it's not. They use Blu-ray. The disc got updated with the system, and Blu-ray CAN store an entire ps4 game on it, if they compressed it. Problem is, that costs time and money they don't want to waste, because Xbox and Sony have become lazy and cheap when it comes to physical games.
@Octane When you can't start the game when you first pop it in, it's not fully physical. End of story on that. Basically how it works is, you get part of the game on the disc, and the rest is code on the disc that you have to install. That's where the high gig amount comes in. If it was fully physical, they wouldn't be having this high gig amounts. They don't try to compress it all on the disc, even though it's fully possible. It's just cheaper for Xbox and Sony to not compress it. You got used to it's tediousness, but that doesn't make it any less trash, lol. Yes, waiting 10-30 min for an install is annoying, when you have to do it for every single game. I like how previous gens could just start the game instantly. Discs could do that too, especially Blu-ray! Which all PS4 games are. Blu-ray discs. Blu-ray discs are easily double the power and storage of normal discs that 360, and Wii used. Loading times aren't even that big of a deal since they aren't even long on Switch. In fact, out of the 80 games I own, only one ever took forever to load---My Time At Portia. It was worse than Bloodborne loading times. But that was a very bad port from a mildly decent developer. Believe it or not, most people want to play their games the minute they have it, not have to wait for long installs before starting each game. Also, the price of carts have gone down. They released a 126 gig cart I think it was, and ever since then, prices of all others have gone down a bit. It's just that AAA devs are cheap as hell, and always take the cheapest route possible. Which is why they do half-physical, half download. Witcher 3 and all dlc will be on the cart. Meaning no downloads or installs. I'll gladly take that 2 second or less extra loading time for that. No waiting for me. That's one of the reasons I'm done with Sony. Fake physical games, anti-consumer policies, censorship, and crazy loyalists. Ps5? More like Ps-bye. Seriously, Sony has fallen hard. They are a shadow of their former selves compared to Ps2 era. Shame. I used to love Sony just as much as Nintendo. Now days, I hate Sony, and I'm just done with them.
@Octane You are still downloading the installation. Switch games don't need installs. I'll take no installs over slightly longer loading times. There was a quite few times when I played single player games on Ps4, where it required me to wait for the installation BEFORE I could play the game. That trash takes up way too much memory, and way too long to install. Even with the systems being 500 gig standard, even physical eats up memory like a . You know what physical games don't take up memory? Nintendo games. Not just Switch, Wii U, Wii, and Gamecube never took up much memory with their discs/cartridges. With Switch games, you can put the game right in, no installs, no downloads, play it instantly. The only times you can't, is when american devs were cheap and made it partial physical.
@SmaggTheSmug A lot of companies make bad PC ports that make great console experiences. The truth is a lot of devs put more effort on console games than their PC ports. Just because a game sucks on PC, doesn't mean the dev is bad, just that they don't care about PC.
@Octane I know, but you have to download the game, because physical is basically a lie on xbox and ps4. You be downloading like 36-76 gigs for games. That's not on a disc dude, lol. That's why I said it's the first true physical game for Witcher 3, because it's all on the cartridge, without downloads.
@mmarkster They just said it will all be on the cartidge, so it will only take up like 3-4 gigs. What you're thinking of is like how Doom you had to download half the game, which was about 15 gigs. This won't require any downloads. It's the first true physical for Witcher 3.
If they made a true successor to Banjo Twooie, Banjo Threeie, like the ending pointed out, it would sell very well, especially on Switch. The reason the last Banjo game didn't sell, was because it was Nuts and Bolts. That game was PURE trash. Don't go away from the original formula and they will be fine.
@LetsGoSwitch I don't hate SAO or these games. I think both the anime and these games are awesome. Sure, they have their flaws, but what doesn't? I think the good outweighs the bad, but that's just my opinion. I think it's funny how everyone thinks if you like SAO, you haven't watched many anime. I watched like 300-400 anime, and I still love it.
@BulbasaurusRex it doesn't break the canon, it's just meant to be it's own story that branches off from the anime. It's a lot better to get original story in games. If it was an exact copy of the anime, there would be no tension. You would know exactly how everything turns out.

Switching between them would be awesome! The other could aid you in battle as AI. It could also possibly bring co-op, but I highly doubt that.
@Galarian_Lassie This...has to be a troll LOL. My brain cannot fathom this comment if it's serious. Lord, this is hilarious whether it's real or a troll.
I understand if people don't care for Jrpgs, but you can't call it a bad direct. Objectively, without personal opinion, it was one of the best directs ever, because it brought some really loved titles. *No More Heroes 3 *Trials of Mana *Witcher 3 Complete *Astral Chain deeper dive *Spyro Reignited Trilogy *Animal Crossing deeper dive *New Super Lucky Tale *Contra *BoTW 2 *Link's Awakening HD deeper dive *Ultimate Alliance 3 deeper dive *Luigi's Mansion 3 deeper dive *Banjo Kazooie Smash reveal
There was some stuff I was disappointed didn't show, like SMT5, because it's been so long, but it was definitely a solid direct. personal opinion---8/10 -----objective opinion---10/10
@WOLF13 Arms, Sushi Striker, Astral Chain, Ninjala -----All of those are new IPs. You can't expect them to pump out just as many new IPs as third parties. That's not how any console ever works, lol. few first parties every year, with lots of third parties, and some second parties, flowing through each first party title, to hold you off till the next.
@Dualmask Ghost in The Shell is a great one. The Boondocks and Ghost in The Shell were my favorite adult animations to watch when I was younger. I don't care for Ghost in The Shell anymore, but I don't think it's bad by any means.
@zip I nearly beat Fragment, but there's no way I could platinum that trash. Realization is way better, so I think you're wrong. It's a matter of opinion dude, but Fragment has way more issues than Realization, and that's fact. Preference is opinion though.
@zip If you actually played Hollow Fragment, you would know Fragment is MUCH worse than H.R. Worse combat, worse graphics, bad frame rate in areas, worse AI, worse story, worse music. You can hate on Hollow Realization, but it is a much better game than Fragment in almost every single way
I actually love this game, definite buy for me. However, I have an issue with this review.
Did this reviewer just compare Ys 8 to SAO Hollow Realization? LOL. The games play NOTHING alike. *Ys you control all attacks, SAO you only control skills *Ys has skills mapped to buttons, SAO you have to go through a menu *Ys you do rolls similar to DS, but quicker. SAO you use back step and side step. *Ys you gather materials to make new weapons and armor, SAO you gain weapons through chests, battles, and towns. *Ys you pause the game to use items, SAO it's real time.
So tell me, how is SAO HR, ANYTHING like Ys 8?
Answer: It's not. Please Nintendo life, get someone who plays a lot of Jrpgs to review Jrpgs. This person doesn't know what they're talking about, and it also sounds like they don't even know the lore of SAO.
@Heavyarms55 If you like rpgs that are heavy on family themes, this is a good pick. Part of its story revolves around the main guy Rush, trying to save his sister, and all the hell he goes through to save her. The combat system is very unique for a turn based rpg. It never gets old to watch, but be warned, it gets very difficult.
I'm fine with P5 being an exclusive, but don't troll us.
Ain't NOBODY need hyping for a damn warriors clone. Even fans of the series are getting tired of the constant supply of these games with little to no changes to it's format.
Screw P5 Scramble. I'll buy P5 if it comes, but I honestly don't think it will ever come after this.
I'm not upset that it was a warriors clone, I'm annoyed that they hyped up a warriors clone to be something bigger than it was. You don't hype up warriors games, you just announce them, lol.
@Alucard83 Xenoblade 2 made by Monolith Soft, which is a subsidiary of Nintendo. They own the IP. It's forever an exclusive. Look at Xenoblade X. Ps3 owners port begged for XC X, and MS even told them the same thing that I said, in their own words. If they were going to release it to other platforms, they would have done so with X, because that game sold horrible, since it was on the Wii U only. That would be like as likely as Uncharted, or God of War coming to Switch.
@Heavyarms55 Same here dude. XC1 is probably my favorite JRPG of all time. It's between XC1, Ar Nosurge Ode to Unborn Star, Tales of Xillia, and Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force.
Overall though, I think I would choose Xenoblade 1.
@BionicDodo Ys 1-2 would prob be digital due to how old they are. Celceta still counts though. It has a physical in the West with Vita. I'm fully confident Celceta would have physical if sold on Switch, in the West. Ys 9 won't come to Switch for at least a year after launch. That's how Ys 8 worked, and how we can expect 9 to work as well. That will for sure have a physical as well.
Here's how you can determine if it will have a physical or not. If it has the older games with the outdated combat system (origin, Ys 1-6) it will be digital only.
If it is the newer games that are more enhanced in visuals and gameplay, (Celceta, 8-9) it will be physical in the West.
@TechaNinja So do I. Problem is, that's not what Akiba Trip was about. It went away from the fromula that made it amazing in the first place. It took a more hardcore serious approach, which automatically made it a lot worse. If you never played Akiba's Trip, it could have been a good game. It's a bad Akiba game.
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/615SbWUuqSL.AC_SX215.jpg Celceta also got a physical edition in the west sold in stores. Any mainline Ys game (meaning the ones where you play as Adol), will always have physical editions in the West.
@TechaNinja @Ralizah Thanks both of you for the info. Mind blown. Well since I don't know JP, that's a new game to me, since I never played it. That would make trash Akiba's Beat the third game. God that game sucked.
@Heavyarms55 Yeah, there are still good american Devs, but those are mainly indie. I'm talking about the big guys. AAA used to mean something back in the early 2000s-2013 ish. When loot boxes became popular, that's when all AAA games started going to ish
@Heavyarms55 Same here. Although, Bethesda has been making a lot of trash games as of late, and Bioware got screwed by EA. So really, is there any good AAA american Devs left? One that doesn't do loot boxes, no insanely costly dlc, no micro transactions, just a full on game experience. I can't think of one.
@TobiasAmaranth What were you expecting? It's XSeed. They are a subsidiary of Marvelous and publish Japanese games. You're never going to see XSeed publishing american games.

Also, it's important to know Ys Origin is more of a spin off, because it doesn't have Adol in it. Adol's story is the main focus of Ys.

Celceta also got a physical edition in the west sold in stores. Any mainline Ys game (meaning the ones where you play as Adol), will always have physical editions in the West.
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@TechaNinja @Ralizah Thanks both of you for the info. Mind blown. Well since I don't know JP, that's a new game to me, since I never played it. That would make trash Akiba's Beat the third game. God that game sucked.
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@Heavyarms55 Yeah, there are still good american Devs, but those are mainly indie. I'm talking about the big guys. AAA used to mean something back in the early 2000s-2013 ish. When loot boxes became popular, that's when all AAA games started going to ish
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@BionicDodo Ys 8 was physical. Ys is their best selling series. They wouldnt make it digital only, as that would limit sales.
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@Heavyarms55 Same here. Although, Bethesda has been making a lot of trash games as of late, and Bioware got screwed by EA. So really, is there any good AAA american Devs left? One that doesn't do loot boxes, no insanely costly dlc, no micro transactions, just a full on game experience. I can't think of one.
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@Ralizah you say remake of the first one we never got in the west, but I was under the assumption Undead and Undressed was the first one?
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@TechaNinja Wasn't Undead and Undressed the first one? I'm confused.
Re: XSEED Announces The Switch Games It Will Showcase At E3 2019
@TobiasAmaranth What were you expecting? It's XSeed. They are a subsidiary of Marvelous and publish Japanese games. You're never going to see XSeed publishing american games.
