Re: Want More Cool Mini Game Systems? Say Hello To The Taito EGRET II Mini

Moroboshi876

Really interested. We have many months to decide, though. And to see whether Taito has plans to release it in the West, which would be great for avoiding shipping costs.

But not by Limited Run, please. Astro City Mini I got from Amazon Japan and paid less (even including shipping) than what it cost in LRG, at least for us Europeans...

I consider these minis to be classic collections in a beautiful and expensive shape. I buy them with playing the games in mind. Always. So I wouldn't have minded if it had been released as a neat Taito Arcade Classics in a physical edition for consoles.

Re: Arc System Works Announces Kunio-kun 35th Anniversary Project

Moroboshi876

Currently enjoying River City Ransom for the second time (the first time in Japanese but sadly in easy, which I didn't know) in the Kunio-kun The World Classics Collection, I'd like a second collection with SNES and Game Boy games. I know it's not going to happen, though. If anything, they'll release a collection of what we already have and some additions, which would be the nth "punishment" for early adopters. It actually happened before, because there was a 3DS collection of NES games of the franchise minus the Switch additions.

Re: Square Enix Is Releasing A Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake For Home Consoles

Moroboshi876

I'm glad I never bought it in its current Switch version. I didn't like what they did with the graphics anyway, but this new version is the way to go. After all, I already played it on Android a while ago. It's time for a good remake. I don't know what to do with the first two, though. I wish they had announced plans for them. One day I'll want to play them again and I'd prefer not to do it in that strange redrawn port of mobile versions.

Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online SNES And NES Service With Five More Titles

Moroboshi876

Good! I started to think the service was dead.

I love Ninja Jajamaru-kun, it's one of my go-to games on its MSX version. Joe & Mac is a game I also love, but got it not long ago complete in its Japanese version. Spanky's Quest is a game which box art I frequently saw on magazines back in the day and got my attention, but as I never owned a SNES back then, I'll try it now.

Magical Drop II is a good addition, although I have it on Evercade, and the baseball game... I had never heard about it. Let's see how it is.

Re: Video: Remembering The 3D Classics NES Range On Nintendo 3DS

Moroboshi876

I've been ignoring these releases until now, I thought they're were just 3D versions (which doesn't bother me in Sega Ages, but somehow wasn't enough to buy these particular Nintendo games), but now I see there are some interesting tweaks too.

For instance, I think the color palette of Kirby's Adventure is noticeable better, am I right? I'm playing the original on the NES Mini and I always think it's a shame such a fun game has so few colors compared to other NES games.

Re: Koei Tecmo's Guzzler Joins Hamster's Arcade Archives Range On Switch Today

Moroboshi876

@Teksetter All those games would be day one purchases for me too

And I don't think they're impossible to come, but it's true that Hamster seems to get the licenses from the same 3-4 companies (yet there have been some surprising ones, like Konami), and that they've mostly released the best games they had.

Anyway, there's still some room to surprise us. And some games like Bubble Bobble should come any time, given that they're already on PS4.

Let's be patient, all the promised games will eventually come, it's just they sometimes release some games that they hadn't announced, maybe for rating approvals or something.

@Tandy555 I know, and I can understand it, because I always switch regions to get the lowest possible price.

Re: Koei Tecmo's Guzzler Joins Hamster's Arcade Archives Range On Switch Today

Moroboshi876

@sixrings I hear you, and this can't qualify as hate. I was referring to those people who only comment on Arcade Archives news to say the games should cost much less and/or they're garbage.

This particular one was announced, but certainly there have been many releases that went ahead the "waiting least", although sometimes that's a good thing depending on the game.

I for one can't wait for Liquid Kids and Trio the Punch, and a while ago had to wait months for Puzzle Bobble 2 because when it seemed it finally was its turn a new batch was announced, so I understand you.

Re: Review: Shantae - A Dated Dance That Completes The Set On Switch

Moroboshi876

Can't fully agree with the tone and the final grade of this review, although I respect if, of course.

I played Shantae for the first time in the 3DS Virtual Console a couple years ago, and absolutely loved it, no rose-tinted glasses.

True, graphically the series has been improved, yet Risky's Revenge (which I played on Wii U this year and liked less, I might add) looks heavily pixelated and shows its DSi origin.

It's also true that the absence of a map makes you run through all the country many times (after all, it turns out to be a circle).

But for the rest, it's fun, looks gorgeous, it's beautifully animated (and Shantae belly dances are rather sexy), the music is catchy and also has minigames, something at least Risky's Revenge doesn't have.

If you are a fan of the series, don't miss it. If not, you could do worse than starting here.

Re: Talking Point: Why Did Nintendo Give Up On Its 'Classic Edition' Concept So Soon?

Moroboshi876

I would have loved a N64 Mini, but I seem to recall Nintendo saying they had made the classic mini consoles while we were waiting for the Switch. There is a lot of people that believes it will be released eventually, but I think they would've done it already if they were going to.

As for the N64 games on Switch Online, I think it's slightly more probable, but they're taking their time, so I start to believe it won't happen either.

If you ask me, I prefer a N64 Mini. This way we do own the games, there are some must-haves missing in my collection anyway, and all would come in a beautiful replica system.

Re: Tough Blow As Sonic Lost World Yoshi's Island DLC Gets Modded, No Longer 'Wii U Exclusive'

Moroboshi876

I take it as a humorous article, because if this was actually a "tough blow" (which I understand it isn't, because sadly no one is buying the Wii U nowadays for Sonic Lost World, let alone the exclusive DLC) it would be better not to talk about it at all, wouldn't it?

Anyway, the DLC remains exclusive to Wii U version of this game, as what modders do hardly is official.

Re: F-Zero Isn't Dead - It's Just Sleeping, Says Nintendo Legend Takaya Imamura

Moroboshi876

I understand where they come from, but for a company that rereleases games from the previous generation and charges full price for them with the pretext of appealing to new players, that reluctance is surprising.

It's just as easy as HD graphics, stable 60 fps, new ships and characters, online play. By "easy" I mean as "new ideas", not that I could make it true, of course.

While we're at it, why don't rerelease digitally or otherwise GBA entries?

Re: Shantae's Game Boy Color Adventure Arrives On Nintendo Switch This Month

Moroboshi876

@adh56 @anonymous Yes, there's an ongoing plot and at least the first three games were directly connected. So for once the timeline is just as the games were released. No prequels involved.

By the way, Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse are on Wii U too, but they'll come to the Switch sooner or later, because LRG made physical copies of all three (first one included) and they just started to release them digitally for the common folk.

Re: Shantae's Game Boy Color Adventure Arrives On Nintendo Switch This Month

Moroboshi876

Well, I would have liked a physical collection of the first 3 games, and not limited, but if they come to the eShop I'll definitely wait for a price drop. After all, the first is much cheaper on 3DS Virtual Console and I have all three digitally purchased in one console or the other, so no rush.

It's a nice touch that the first Shantae comes with the enhanced GBA version too, though, because it's not like any of us can try what happens when you put one of the superexpensive copies of the original in the GBA slot. So the inaugural entry I'll definitely buy at some point, and it's a great game that I loved when I played it a couple years ago.
