Re: Arcade Paradise Will Play On Our '90s Nostalgia Next Spring

Looks exciting, but while I salute the fact that they're releasing it physically too (and that they're announcing it before launch, which is a whole different story), I can't understand why these indie games do have physical versions and other much more expected and by more important companies don't, such as Ghosts'n Goblins Resurrection.

Re: Shantae And The Seven Sirens Has Received A Free “Spectacular Superstar” Update

@RupeeClock Thanks for the heads-up, but sadly this is the "Asian" edition, which is available only in Play-Asia, meaning pricier, more dangerous when it comes to custom taxes, et cetera. If it was available in Amazon Japan that would be great. I'll be playing Pirate's Curse and Half-Genie Hero, and if in the meantime there's a retail edition of Seven Sirens, great. If that doesn't happen, then obviously I'll have to buy it digitally. Thanks!

Re: Mega Drive Brawler Paprium Is Coming To Switch Following Kickstarter Success

@RupeeClock Well, I do prefer physical releases and lament how a lot of times they're limited. But I also meant I didn't count on a general release at all.

Not that they can't do whatever they want with their products, of course. If they want to limit their audience by honoring the backers, which is how it usually works, it's fine. I was just pointing out that the news piece is of little use, considering the target has been achieved and people outside it won't probably be able to get the game in any form.

Re: Rumour: Switch Online Datamine Uncovers Plans For "At Least" 38 N64 Games And 52 Sega Genesis Titles

Three personal wishes:

1. Additional games not being 100% the ones we already have available in collections and mini consoles. Musha is a good start here, but sadly the only exception.

2. Regular additions in all platforms, NES and SNES too, not 5 games now, 2 more in several months and then 3 more, and months of silence.

3. More platforms, of course. Game Boy (classic) is predictable. I wish PC Engine was another one.

Re: Nintendo Leaker Suggests Pricing Of Switch Online's Expansion Pack Could Be Tied To "Licensing Costs"

Moroboshi876

I always thought, comparing NSO NES and SNES with the respective minis, that they shared almost all games because the license included both releases.

Mega Drive Mini was cheap enough, so I didn't think third-party games had been that expensive to justify Sega charging Nintendo so much now.

Anyway I think they shot at their feet, because NSO games were always a perk, not the main reason to subscribe. Double the price and many people will pay, but not as many as you thought.

Re: Mini Review: Gleylancer - A Brilliant 16-Bit Shmup Sparkles With Mod Cons

Strangely enough, this game got a 7 from Nintendo Life when it came out on Wii's Virtual Console. The Wikipedia reception section doesn't make us think it's an excellent game either, so maybe the reviewer rated it too high, but I'm going to buy it eventually. It's cheap, and will be cheaper at some point. And all shmups seem difficult to me anyway, so as long as I can advance a good chunk I won't feel my money is wasted.
