i already played it, but i'm so glad this game is on switch so more people get to try it. it is 100% worth it, one of the best platformers ever

It's decent. But it's incredibly underbaked. No real online play, a pretty big lack of longer challenges, and some strange omissions on the game list. If it had. fully featured, proper online modes and a bit more content, maybe a 7 or 8. But it's a 6 to me.

@BTB20 I think they're just referring to the actual scope with the amount of stuff on screen at once. when your game is set in smaller contained rooms it's a lot easier to get more detailed visuals happening

@AlienX This game is more open ended and fluid than the Adventure games are, even. I really don't think you should judge based on watching a few minutes of footage..

There is literally no reason to NOT provide the option to players, if the visual settings are capable of being trimmed down to provide 60fps then it should be an option. I understand why certain Switch games don't have this since it feels like they're barely eeking out enough to run at a mostly stable 30fps (botw, totk, almost any third party port of a 8th gen console game) but for games that could theoretically reach 60fps just give us the option!!

Anything that can't output 1080p is "retro" to me!

i'm surprised amiibo are still around after nearly a decade, to be honest. i was 11 when they first were on shelves and they still make new copies of ones from back then. crazy.

I dunno, they felt a little.. sleepy? To me.. like, it's not bad music, but it lacks the energy of even some of the more laid back songs in Frontiers. I'll need to hear the full songs.

I still hope that at the very least they could release the Yokai Watch 1 remaster. They could just reuse voice clips and the script from the 3DS version and remove audio they don't have replacements for. It's completely feasible, I think

@Frailbay30 I played it at launch on my decent computer, it really wasn't nearly as broken as people will make it out to be. I do think 80% of the bad PR the game had cane from the ps4/xbone versions

I do NOT see a similar redemption arc for scarlet and violet considering they're gonna move on before a new Nintendo console can come out

Well deserved, it's probably the most fun I've ever had playing a sonic game and such an easy recommendation to anyone, even non sonic fans. I feel like none of the (albeit noticeable) flaws get in the way of how addicting and fun the core mechanics and gameplay loop are.

@Korsica_Is_Best_Girl The primary issues with Cyberpunk were caused by it running ancient hardware that still doesn't run it THAT well. Scarlet and violet are competent from a game design standpoint but I don't trust game freak to be able to optimize their game's performance enough to save it in the eyes of anyone it's already ruined for.

@JokerCK This is a review of persona 3 portable, which is definitely not the definitive version of persona 3, unlike P4G, which just objectively improved upon persona 4.. its easy to see how P3P, especially with the particularly lackluster remastered visuals, could score worse. idk..

@EliJapan that game is 4 times as long though. 10 hours of sonic frontiers is like, over half the game

the show is good but im very disappointed at how it uses sonic's world, its such a surface level bare bones use of everything. why do they just live in green hill. where is half of the characters. and all the shatter spaces are fun, but pretty generic aside from new yoke city. idk. its a fun show tho

@Sourcecode I do not see Nintendo replacing the switch entirely anytime soon. It’s their second bestselling console of all time, and unlike the wii, 3ds and wii u, it is somewhat modern and is consistently receiving high quality third party support. Most that will happen is new hardware in the same ecosystem

I don’t think enough people are talking about how abysmal the sound mixing is in this game. I was fine with everything else, but the sound was so poor I had to refund the game. Wait for a patch if you’re sensitive to audio like I am
