Why is pretty much every anime game just a generic beat em up?

@NinChocolate sorry, I wrote that before coffee. But E3 needed to die- was an expensive and sweaty thing. I imagine most gamers just get news fro gaming sites now, and Nintendo Directs are always fun.

@NinChocolate if only there was a giant and accessible communications platform to view all gaming content and news….

You just need to do a bit of internet research to help distinguish good games from shovelware. And some people like shovelware

I still have hope for either TP or WW. Skyward Sword sold well on the Switch so it would make financial sense to keep porting Zelda games

@Silly_G that’s actually impressive- I imagine it takes a lot force to destroy a PS4 controller. Tbh I gave up on Dark Souls. It’s not enjoyable, and I will never git gud.

I had to stop playing Dark Souls in handheld mode because Nintendo Switches can be thrown pretty far. I assume.

Looking forward to this game- I never played it on the N65. It’s good to see the expansion pack improved over time and silenced some of the (understandable) whining about it early on

Bit of a disappointing month for new games so looking at some ones I’ve overlooked like Ori and the Blind Forest and Celeste

I’d probably play it, though I’d be ashamed of myself for playing a game that’s basically someone badly describing BOTW over the phone to a developer only used to making phone games

BOTW2 seems to be borrowing more and more from Skyward Sword- the falling from the sky, the islands, the time travel back thousands of years, and some people think Fi is coming back based on the glowing blue light seen in the new cutscenes

‘This holiday’ is pretty vague- that could be summer or Xmas. This game has a lot of potential but the lack of gameplay footage isn’t a good sign

@Scarko you can’t compare Zelda to COD or FIFA, each Zelda game is different enough to have its own unique style. And yes, one Zelda game a year, either a port or a new game, isn’t asking much.

@Tademaru well NL said roughly 15-17 hours, the Gamespot reviewer was 80% complete in 15 hours. You’re right about 40 hours, a good rule of thumb is one hour per £/$, this game is half that apparently. Will still buy.

I’m still buying it (physically so I can sell it when completed) but the short lifespan should hurt the score a bit more. 10-17 hours isn’t a lot of gameplay time.
