Back in September 2020 we ran the first Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight, a showcase that highlighted dozens of indie games coming to Switch. Just over a year later, our lovely video guru Alex-from-Nintendo-Life returned for a leaner, meaner second round of spotlighting, and we're happy to announce that he's back once again — the third Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight is almost here!
That's right, the Nintendo Life Indie Spotlight returns soon with an April 2022 Edition. It kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday 6th April) at 12pm PST / 3pm EST / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST / 5am AEST (Thursday 7th). The presentation will be streamed via the Nintendo Life YouTube channel and we'll have a video blog up on the site, too.
In this third edition of our Indie Spotlight presentation you can look forward to around 15 minutes of exciting announcements and exclusive looks at a choice selection of upcoming Switch games from some distressingly talented indie developers.
We're excited to share these upcoming Switch games with you — tune in on Wednesday to find out more!

Yo I didn't know Toree was getting a third game!
I read this very wrong and thought there was gonna be a new Indie World presentation 😅
It's been a while since we've had one! Looking forward to it!
Not expecting anything amazing like Silksong......but perhaps a few surprises
Hopefully we can get an update about Sports Story.
Silksong won't be there
Silksong won't be there
Silksong won't be there
(Just setting healthy expectations so I can fully enjoy this broadcast. Glad to see you're doing another one).
@sketchturner If Nintendo won't show it to us in one of their Indie World presentations, we'll just have to do it ourselves!

Maybe.
Indie games are always a welcome surprise, I’m
guessing some mentioned tomorrow will be brand new announcements?
Oh, Nindie Direct.
Hopefully some good 3D indie games from the direct.
(Checking the conversion from PST to WIB)
It will be on Thursday at 2 AM ?! 😣
Good job @Nintendolife, looking forward to it.
I can be off of work by 3pm to watch the presentation live, as long as I'm convincing enough to my co-workers about the family emergency I have to attend to.
I love the effort, even if the games featured in these are never exactly my type of thing. I'll still check it out though
YAY-YEAH!
Always a fun time.
Now that Spelunky is on Switch, I'm not really looking towards any indie games I want on Switch but I'll keep an eye out for something new.
Love Indie Games!
@sketchturner Silksong will be there!
Silksong will be there!
Silksong will be there!
I would really love a release date for TMNT Shredder’s Revenge if that counts as an indie game.
"EST"? Not a lot of places using that time right now... Really must be courting your readership in Panama, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Quintana Roo and.... parts of Nunavut?
Though based on a conversion from BST, I'm guessing this should read "EDT."
another livestream
Any news on Skul: The Hero Slayer?
I have the physical CE on the way to me as we speak and can't wait to dive into it.
Calling it now, Toree 3.
Though when I went into the comments to post this I also saw the very first comment called this too.
Silksong? PLEASE
I can't wait for the articles about this on other websites claiming "new Nintendo Direct announced", getting the fans in a tizzy.
@DJDM It's EST half of the year for where they're indicating. Easy mistake.
Hopefully some Bushiden news! It’s literally the last game I’m waiting for!
Sports story reveal please. And maybe fire pro switch.
Only thing worth keeping an eye on since the rest of the market is flooded with reboot/remake/sequels. Maybe I'm the only one sick of playing the same games, but at least indie titles adds variety which is dead in most other entertainment.
@Anti-Matter depends on which part of the globe you’re in!
It's cool that this is returning and honestly it's surprising Nintendo hasn't done an Indie World yet (those presentations are usually around late March).
@Lyricana they got BST right, and that's another season-specific time zone. I'd say getting the time zones right is an easy mistake not to make.
@DJDM I'm sure it is, but I also know that TONS of people (probably even most) who live in the EST/EDT and PST/PDT time zones in the US just say EST and PST all year round regardless because of familiarity. I'd argue the similarity in naming makes it easy to not specify which in the US because they switch relationally to each other, so anyone in the US knows that the only part that matters is the E or the P when talking about other timezones within the US, meanwhile the change to BST is away from GMT which might be much easier to see as being substantiative different.
Not saying it isn't a mistake, just one that makes more sense to make.
