Had my Hori controller since Black Friday. It's my main controller for Switch now. At this point, I'll only use something else if I'm playing a game that requires motion or rumble. Can't wait for my PDP pads to come in so that I can do a comparison.

I wonder how well these would work for Mario Party. I just wish they were "cuter" and not so "hardcore" looking.

@psychoBrew Are we talking live racing or ghosts. I have the first game for Switch and in that one, you can only race against ghosts.

It's only a matter of time before someone makes a "fix" for this.

If this game does not have online multiplayer then I'll just hold out for VRally 4.

@tudsworth really wish devs would give us discounts for owning their game in another region. I had to double dip on Senran Kagura because I made a Japanese account to play it's original Switch release and then we were surprised with a unedited localized release months later.

Ok what Reggie said is laughable and disappointing. I'm currently testing Assassin's Creed Odyssey for Google's Project Stream and I can say that streaming to a tablet is just as reliable as streaming to a desktop. BTW, even though I'm streaming to a Windows tablet, my Switch is arguably more powerful than my Windows tab with twice the RAM, a proper 64 bit OS and a befier
GPU (at last glance). Nintendo simply does not want to invest in game streaming in the States or is holding the streaming card close to their chest in hopes of some silly surprise announcement.

Sign me up for the Wii U version. My Wii U gets just as much love as my Switch. Also I refuse to buy Switch versions of games that are on Wii U.

Sucks that Alex didn't have a Hori controller in time for his video. Personally, I can't wait for these GameCube style pads to release. I have the following on pre order

All of my Nintendo gear is Peach related but I love how the character designs for the PDP pads are molded onto the controller and not just cheaply painted on. Overall, I would take the GameCube button layout any day of the week. It's why I currently use the Hyperkin ProCube for PC gaming.

I wish 3DS and Wii U (maybe even Wii and DS) was integrated into this site.

Definitely a Wii U purchase for me. I really should start picking up more Indy games on Wii U. Juggling two Switches is easy when you can share game cards but when it comes to Indy titles, since most are digital, it's easier to get the one copy on the shared platform (Wii U) than double dipping. BTW this game looks beautiful.

This game is gonna keep sucking money out of me huh.... Already have the first two DLC characters, Guess I'll grab this one before the end of the year.

@Bunkerneath I would pay for that! I have the first 2 on Wii U and the third on PC, saved to my desktop HDD for home play and on a SD card with its own label for tablet play. Having all 4 on Switch in gamecard format would justify a double dip.

Um.... where the hell is the online play?!?! I seriously need a racing game with realistic cars AND online play! I guess I should wait around for V Rally 4.

Ya kno, if there was a cutout for a smartphone on the bottom half, this would be great for those Nintendo Switch Online games. Really wish Nintendo would make a landscape design for that damn app.

This was also an issue for some Nintendo DS games. I get it. The developer wanted to create button position parity with the PlayStation / XBox versions but it's kinda annoying. Another reason why Nintendo should have stuck with the GameCube layout

Time to clear some things up. Wii games using servers from Nintendo WiFi Connection (unless taken down by the company) should still be up and running. That means CoD, Conduit 2 and Just Dance 19. Additionally, all video apps work on Wii. Lastly, you can easily get online back on all WFC Wii games by soft modding your Wii (easy to do) and using Wiimfi. There is a large community on Wiimfi. Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart Wii multiplayer is just as lively as it was years ago.

No online mode, no buy! Tired of realistic racers on Switch without online racing!

I was hoping for a good 3D effect. Now I think I'm going to settle for one of those "wireless" headsets with HDMI input. Easiest way to create low grade VR would be: Switch (obviously) + HDMI-in headset + three joycons (a L+R pair for character control and the third goes on top of the headset for head tracking). After that, we simply need to get developers to add in a "third-joycon" mode to games that make sense to have it.

If there was a complete offline story mode on this game card that would be worth it. As of right now, with this game being Battle Royale only on the Switch, a physical copy is a waste of money.

I should definitely pick up a Yoshi cover for my wife. I really wish there was a Princess Peach variant. That would go great with my other Peach gear.

We could always hope that Limited Run Games will be able to do a physical release of this game.

@Aerona I wasn't talking about the Amiibo figure but the base. The base holds the NFC chip. If Bowsette is Bowser transformed into a variation of Peach, it stands that Bowser is still himself, no matter what he looks like. The final custom Amiibo should be a modified Peach figure with a Bowser base.

Shouldn't the actual NFC base be Bowser and not Peach?

@Denoloco The GameCube controller has the best button layout of all time! I use a Hyperkin Procube. It's a Wii U pro controller shaped like a GameCube controller but with all the "pro" perks (minus analog triggers). Best controller for PC gaming!

@dls81uk Its also called, buy a Wii or Wii U and hack it. I really dont care about playing classic games on Switch. There are so many other devices that let you play these same games.

I think this controller is awesome! I hope it comes in other colors. Those thoughts aside, the controller needs to come down in price. Something like 25 USD would be perfect.

Picked up the standard edition. Just having a physical copy will be worth it alone.

This should be a f2p title like Fortnite. Something that's easy to get in and out if you want a quick practice session but also be focused on multiplayer and have little to no story.

Everyone calm down. The new update was purely to add a new privacy notice (so that they dont get sued by the EU) and a few Amazon certificates. All exploits still work. Your Wii U consoles are safe. Emulation still works.

@Royalblues dude, I'm married. I totally get thay real relationships are way different than the stuff you see in entertainment. That said, as sad as it is that, a majority of the people in japan have given up on meaningful human interaction, it's still not our place to force our social norms on them. For the sake of that country I do hope that they find a point of balance. I dont mind declining birth rates. The entire planet needs to slow down on baby making but we cant just give up on meaningful relationships. Do games like Senran Kagura add to Japan's problem? Maybe but, games like this alone are not the culprit.

@Royalblues let's not twist words. Read carefully. You are not supporting the physical genocide of the Japanese people. You ARE, by trying to force conformation, the genocide of Japanese culture. Japan is its own country with every right as a sovereign nation to have their own culture. You have no right to try to force the Japanese people to live under your own social norms. If you don't like the forms of entertainment presented by certain Japanese publishers then you can simply choose to IGNORE the things that offend you and not spend your hard earned money. Nobody is forcing you to pay for ecchi games. Those of us who like these games will buy and the rest need to learn how to ignore and move the heck on! It's that simple. There are more important things in the world to get your panties in a bunch over!

@Royalblues how is forcing another country to do what you want them to do progress? You're supporting the genocide of another culture because that culture makes you feel uncomfortable. Also, take note that just because you see less sexual themes in LOCALIZED Japanese games it does not mean that those themes are not present in the original Japanese version. I hope we get a LOT more games like this on Switch!

Same here! Every device I have ever rooted was purely for storage reasons. Most mid to low range Android devices tend to come with very crappy App to SD solutions if any at all. Not everybody that roots wanys to cheat.

I might consider getting this. 3 and 4 should technically be able to run on my Windows tablet but I always get issues with force closing. At least I would t have to worry about that issue on Switch.

While I appreciate that we are getting a sequel, no online NO buy! This game will be competing against VRally 4 and that game plans to support online play. I want a online, realistic racing game for this console.

@DABYX I agree. I don't hate knockoffs. Hell, some of the best Android games started off as knockoffs. The problem is the developer's attitude.

I love Chinese knockoffs so thank you Nintendo Life for sharing the eBay link! People complaining about off brand and knock off controllers are annoying. As a customer it's your job to research what you buy before you buy it. Additionally if someone decided to buy one of these knockoffs whilst fully knowing what they are getting into then what harm is it doing to anyone else?

YES PLEASE! I would love a third Endless Ocean. Actually I'd love to have more motion games. Just make the Switch a Wii 2.0 and I'll be happy!
