Accessory maker Keys Factory has released a new range of Nintendo Switch protection covers, helping you to look after your console's screen and Joy-Con from unwanted scratches and dirt.
There are five separate designs set to be available featuring some of the biggest names in Nintendo's gaming library - Mario, Yoshi, Splatoon 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Each product comes with a front cover and silicon Joy-Con cover and is officially licenced by Nintendo. (You can click on each image below to get a closer look).
The covers are currently slated for a December release, with pre-orders now live on Play-Asia. If you're interested, you can snag one for yourself via the links below. If you use the code NLIFE you'll get an extra $3 off your Play Asia order.

Oh these look nice
I keep my Switch in my backpack and don't really need one of these, but if they give us a good Pokemon design later I'll probably buy one anyway.
These front covers are excellent! @AlexOlney has one
Very cool, I'll definitely be picking one of these up.
I love the Yoshi one, but these don't look very functional.
so these will protect the screen? how about the back? and can it be docked while it’s on?
That Zelda cover is super cool.
I was thinking the New Switch design will have a Clam shell design to protect the screen.
@foodmetaphors I was thinking the same thing on the docking front.
Now those are pretty nice, I like the Mario, Yoshi and Splatoon ones. Does the front cover double as a stand like tablet covers do?
@Dr_Corndog the creases in the cover make it seem like it can be folded to be used as a stand. Not sure if that's the case though.
@foodmetaphors well if they don't protect the back then they may be dock friendly.
No Fire Emblem and no Pokemon? Fail
@foodmetaphors They protect the front screen, not the back, but you can dock them. They sit over the front of the dock.
Love the Splatoon one and will keep an eye out for a Pokémon one!
@Yosheel they are dock friendly, they are not stands
So they ARE dock-friendly? I wonder if it would still fit in my traveling case...
Actually, I like the design of all four. I can’t remember the last time that happened. I would like to see them in action before buying, though.
Yoshi case, that is what I was looking for! Finally!
Oh I might actually get that Yoshi one....
@Anti-Matter would never happen since it would make it so cumbersome to hold
Look nice
Booyah
Anyone know how they attach to the front screen? Magnets like iPad etc perhaps or some kind of adhesive setup?
They put more effort into making those screen protectors than Nintendo did with their online
The only one I'm not that fond of is the Breath of the Wild one. I really want to like it but it just looks kind of boring. It could have been so much brighter and more colorful like the rest of them in my opinion. But the rest of them look great. I'm tempted to get the Splatoon 2 one 😄
The thing is they look awesome but Can we play on are TV when the case is still on or do we have to take are case off every second just to play on the TV.
plus for joy-cons also. which is cool.
They look so gooood.
Each but the Breath of the wild one has the character on it so why don't u put Link or something on the case instead of a symbol. be like the rest of the cases.
@Anti-Matter Thus making it Nintendo’s largest DS yet!
Are these available in UK not from play Asia?
They scheduled to have a release.
If there was one that was a little more discreet I'd buy it.
If they bring out a Luigi one, I'm sold!
Make a Metroid one and you have a deal.
the reason I have avoided skins and protectors is because I have seen evidence of the cheap acidic plastics and adhesives with solvents pitting and eating the plastic after a few weeks, I hope these do ok !!!
@Yosheel That would be cool. I was mainly wondering whether the Switch can be docked with these things.
I’m a little past the “must buy every Switch accessory that exists” phase of Switch ownership. I don’t even dust the dock obsessively anymore like I used to. But these look pretty neat-o.
more junk
Great for ten year olds - I'd love to see some adult oriented versions of this.
Yoshi one looks best to me. To be honest they all look great but since my Switch status docked 95% of the time I won't bother.
I have a tablet with a case similar to this and it has marks on it from the cover. Not something I want to subject my Switch to. I have a very expensive screen protector on my Switch and I keep it in a game case, and that seems to work just fine.
Give us Switch covers and Joy-con protectors that fit, respectively, into the dock and the grip, and we're in biz.
Love the Mario cover
This advertisement is light on details. Can it be docked with this on?
@HollowGrapeJ Just curious, what game is your profile picture from? It looks familiar
Of course they release AFTER I scratch and dust up my switch. >
@SimplyCinnamon53 It's Ulala from Space Channel 5.
@HollowGrapeJ That’s what it was! Thanks!
@SimplyCinnamon53 No problem. 👍
I have the basic silicone grips for the joycons and I love 'em. I'm definitely down for some Zelda themed ones.
I should definitely pick up a Yoshi cover for my wife. I really wish there was a Princess Peach variant. That would go great with my other Peach gear.
They are beautiful
I usually hate this sort of thing but they are all well done and the BotW one is surprisingly classy looking. I have a case for carrying around the Switch in my bag but could be tempted by one of these for when I'm changing trains etc and don't want to put the Switch away only to get it out again.
I like them so much I bought doubles for some of them.... Christmas gifts :3
the yoshi one looks funny because of his big face on the cover.
Anyways l rather to have a Smash Bros one or a LoZ Twilight Princess one.
Interesting... the cover looks like a flap and that could get annoying, they look nice but I will pass.
