I'm sure the game is even better, but again the visuals are lacking compared to the WiiU installment. WiiU truly has the best shading (or shaders if you prefer) of any console ever.
Many people say Nintendo lost to Sony because they went the cartridge route. But look at all the failed CD-ROM systems and peripherals that came before the PlayStation. It's no wonder Nintendo was cautious.
@Damo It mostly works. But the number of posters saying they were misled and the likes those comments received speaks for itself. Sorry, and this is coming from a big fan of the trilogy, but there's being too clever for your own good, and the tagline undoubtedly gave the wrong or confusing impression to many people. Including me, since I knew Nintendo got it right with the game.
@Damo Never mind an interesting reference, you should be vary of what kind of impression a tagline gives of a review. Heck, I've read the trilogy several times (and the letters to his therapist that comprise the garbage fourth and fifth books once), and still didn't get it.
"Whew, I'm back from my expedition. Dude, I totally discovered Atlantis!" "Amazing! Did you discover any new species?" "Tons. But don't worry, I killed them all. Just blown them to bits, kapow." "W-w-w-what!? Why???" "Um... y'know, points?"
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Vroom in the Night Sky is at least a little bit underrated. It's not what I would call an absolute disaster. There were people on the team who certainly knew what they were doing.
I almost got into a serious fight with some guy, we had our game on. Then one of his friends came out of nowhere and yelled "There's a [some rare Pokemon] sighted in [some place nearby]. He made a beeline towards the place. I just stood there dumbfounded.

Shame on you, NintendoLife. That Overwatch loot part made me barf.
Re: Poll: Are You Excited About the Super NES Classic Edition?
@Aneira I think the reason was so scalpers could make more money.
Re: Poll: Are You Excited About the Super NES Classic Edition?
"A bit surprised Nintendo left off some of its own oldies like Pilotwings and SimCity. The omission of Chrono Trigger is just ridiculous."
SimCity is still EA's license though. And SE likes to milk Chrono Trigger it's own way.
Re: Review: Ever Oasis (3DS)
Great review, this was on my radar, but now it really pings.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary Figure Announced by First 4 Figures
@UK-Nintendo I don't think you need to change your spear; it's not bent, and the tip is still sharp enough to rip the flesh of a wild boar.
Re: Video: Anatomy Of A Fake: Creator Of "Leaked" Smash Bros. Switch Screens Speaks Out
@Boidoh On second thought, he lacks the intelligence to be classified as anything according to political stance. Let's just call him an idiot.
Re: Video: Anatomy Of A Fake: Creator Of "Leaked" Smash Bros. Switch Screens Speaks Out
@Boidoh The guy we're talking about is a libertarian, not a conservative. As a conservative I think they're the worst.
Re: Random: Hugh Jackman Witnesses Real-Life Mario Kart Race, Can Barely Contain His Joy
@maceng Not unless they're bored.
@Filth_Element He sounds very tired, I think that's all the excitement he can muster.
Re: Sonic Mania Release Date and Pricing Confirmed With Awesome Trailer
Jesus, those are some of the best graphics I've seen in years.
(I mean ingame, the pencil art is very nice too)

The racers look bored.

Generic mobile trash. Add Steam into the equation you've got a steaming pile of trash.
Re: Nintendo Is Selling An Empty Splatoon 2 Bundle Box For Five Bucks In Japan
@ricklongo You mean you went full download, right? I'm not sure how the games themselves are not digital either way.

Re: Video: The SNES PlayStation Prototype Is Now In Full Working Order, Thanks To Ben Heck
@Anti-Matter You should pick up Root Letter, and I'm mentioning the game because it would likely fly under your radar.
Re: Video: The SNES PlayStation Prototype Is Now In Full Working Order, Thanks To Ben Heck
@SmaMan Look on the bright side: it doesn't make for the most preferable wanted poster.
Re: Random: Super Mario Stamps Powering-Up Japan Post Offices
@saturn_hero Ask your uncle who works at Nintendo to send you a postcard.

Re: Famitsu Charts Show Strong Debut for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in Japan
@NEStalgia "If Sony Walkmans were still outselling iPhones, you know Sony would be printing that, even if they only sold 100 a week "
Sony Walkmans probably aren't that far off from iPhone sales, though it's a bit of a strange thing to say since they're competing with the iPods. And by Walkmans I mean these: http://www.sony.com/electronics/walkman-digital-music-players/t/walkman

Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the New Nintendo 2DS XL?
Nintendo would be dumb to stand on just one pillar, they will continue the 2DS/3DS support, with them eventually getting a successor of their own.

If they hire every factory in China to start making them right now, they might just be able to fulfill the preorders.

As if there isn't a whole bunch of pseudoscience and false advertising in the neuroscience world/field already.
