I think that's probably just a coincidence. Shantae is a pretty popular character so it would be interesting to see her in Smash.

The duo being added to Smash Bros does now mean (to me at least) that the chances of another BK game are looking likelier than ever. Whether or not this listing is correct is another matter though.

I'm quite excited for this as:
a) It looks adorable and
b) I've never played it before
With LA this year and BOTW2 within the next few years, that's quite a lot of new Zelda.

So BOTW was inspired by Skyrim, BOTW 2 is apparently inspired by RDR2.

Not a brilliant decision seeing as I don't know how much you could "explore the Sonic universe in more depth" in a racing game.

Surely the non Sonic characters could either be only in the multiplayer or you do some Marvel vs Capcom shenanigans where the characters all get put into the same universe.

There's something very off about her face.

It really does just seem like a downgrade to go from the previous games that had the likes of Banjo & Kazooie to purely Sonic characters.

Like a lot of people have probably said by now, I'd definitely welcome a demo.

I'm not sure a summer release would be best really, seems a better game for those October/November nights.

The trailers have managed to impress me, so its likely I'll be watching this at some point. Who knows, maybe its the first good video game film.

A AC3 has been confirmed for the other consoles, but those were slated for March. It's possible there's a Switch version but I don't see Ubi pushing the date forward.

I think it would have made a lot more sense (as the article mentions) to have just an actual princess. As for replacing Blue Toad, that seems a little random. Maybe the characters could have been:
Mario
Luigi
Daisy
Toad (possibly select Blue, Yellow Toadette etc.)

Nintendo seem to be able to pack Switch games into absolutely tiny amounts. BOTW for example was only 13 GB and I'm sure there's better examples.

Doesn't bode well for any more 3DS games like Epic Yarn and that Mario & Luigi remake. But no console is going to live forever.
