I only use my Switch to play Nintendo’s exclusives. So, yeah, it’s a supplementary console. For me, the Switch is the Vita's successor done and supported right.
I feel in a similar way. Even in times when I don’t need to travel, I prefer the Switch version of a game over my PS4 Pro, because I tell myself, how great the mobile aspect is. However, when I actually start to play a game like The Witcher 3 on Switch, the downgraded graphics bother me. It’s crazy. It really seems to be some kind of Nintendo brainwash.
@Dang69 To be perfectly honest: Yes, it does. Also in handheld mode. It is a good port though, regarding the technical Switch-limitations.
I’d prefer to play it on my PS4 Pro with HDR and higher resolution. But at the moment, I’m traveling a lot, so it’s cool to have the possibility to play it on the go.
Lol, it’s the simplistic design and fast performance that I like, regarding the Switch's Home Menu. Wish, my PS4 Pro could also be that clean and fast.
My day one Switch has drift, it bent, the screen has been scratched by the dock and there is a little crack on the top edge. Even though I am very careful with using my consoles. It's still working though.
He has a point. Even as a PlayStation fan, I like the simplicity of the Switch. It’s the console, that reminds me the most of the good ol' plug'n'play-days, when I wake it up from sleep mode and continue to play from the last point left.
Got this on Switch first, then for my PS4 Pro. I found the stuttering to be distracting, unfortunately, cause it’s a nice game to be played in handheld mode. Don’t know why they didn’t go with 720p and 60 fps like the first DQB.
I’m already 40 hours in. It’s a good farming sim and very relaxing. Much better than Harvest Moon: Light of Hope or the crappy Harvest Life. But it is also very... very... VERY grind heavy. I’d also give the game a 7/10.
If it will perform well on Switch, I’ll get it on Nintendo’s console. I’m a bit concerned, since the same development team also brought Dragon Quest Heroes I and II on Switch. And both games were a technical mess, with framerates constantly reaching the sub 20ies.
At least, Nintendo is communicating and apologizing. Comparing this to Sony, it’s absolutely pro customer. Even though the fact that it’s censored cannot be reversed with an excuse, it’s nice to read, that Nintendo cares. Sony just does things and avoids any kind of fanbase communication.
I’m also waiting to play this game on my Switch. Even though I also own the PS4 (Pro) version. It’s frustrating, that the patch gets delayed over and over again. They should at least release a physical “complete version” for a budget price, once they’ve finished patching it on Switch.
Makes me sad to see, that the Lite also has drifting issues - if the videos are true, though. Most people seem to have experienced some kind of Switch issue. My Pokémon Edition Switch has slightly bent. I miss the days when Nintendo was known for the best hardware quality.
Fingers crossed. I own two pairs of JoyCons since 2017 and none has drifting issues. Makes me anxious to hear a lot of users having problems with their hardware. Looks like, it’s only a matter of time until mine start drifting too.
I’ve expected something like the Senran Kagura Warriors style games on PS4, Vita and 3DS - gameplay wise nothing really special, but also not too bad, with a lot of booby fanservice.
Gun Gun Pixies seems to be more like Drive Girls on Vita. The fanservice was a looker, but it also had clunky, broken controls and a lot of unfair difficulty spikes.
I’d be fine with all three options. The only one I’m scared of, is Nintendo jumping on the cloud gaming wagon. I like my games physically or at least as a download, not as an unsteady stream from the internet; also pointing out, still not having the best and fastest connection here in Germany. I guess, Nintendo will come up with a „Switch Pro“ or enhanced dock, reaching base Xbox One power by middle/end of 2020.
It's funny. Most here are accusing Sony fanboys for the review bombs. Purely by logic, however, I think that Xbox fans are the most guilty. While there is a decent range of exclusive titles on PS4, Microsoft has recently even lost Ori to Nintendo! I clearly see Xbox fans disappointed and effed up. At the end, I do not really care though, because I'm a very fortunate person to own all three competing consoles.

It’s a shame that it’s censored. But who knows... Maybe they’ll come with a surprise and bring it uncensored. A man can hope, can’t he?

I’d love to see a NieR Automata port on Switch. It doesn’t look like a graphically demanding game, so... it should be doable, right? :>
Happy new year.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Contains A Nintendo Switch Controller Image
I'd play it on Switch, if the port would be as good as The Witcher III. Oh, and the whole game should be on the cartridge too.

@matdub Same. But my Vita has some "colour bleeding" though. Slightly noticeable during darker scenes. :/

Re: Rumour: A Western Release Of Dragon Quest Heroes I & II Is Looking Even More Likely
They should fix the framerate first. When the game was released, it ran extremely bad when in combat.

@beazlen1 Haha, my thoughts exactly.
Re: Japanese Charts: Dragon Quest XI S Knocks Zelda: Link's Awakening Off Top Spot
Ryza sold much better on PS4. Why? O_o I mean, the Switch port looks and runs basically the same and isn’t censored.
Edit: Oh, didn’t read the post above on time. A bigger fan base on PS4 explains it.

Disappointing score.

@TechaNinja PS4 no, not anymore, due to Sony’s ridiculous anti ecchi rules.
