Thanks for the advice. The amount of Japanese games on Steam is growing. Very fascinating. Even niche games like Onechanbara, Neptunia and Senran Kagura can be found there. It is worth saving up for a reasonably good PC then. Well, at least in case that the Switch Pro rumor stays a rumor.
To be fair, there are still some Japanese games to be released on PlayStation, like Tales of Arise, that Platinum Games Action RPG Babylon Fall, a NieR Automata clone from China, a remake of the first NieR, the next Final Fantasy, a new Harvest Moon, Ryza 2, P5 Strikers, a new Neptunia...
But: We can't be sure anymore if Sony will leave everything untouched and most of the games mentioned above will also release on Switch. :/
Personally I went with Sony for the Japanese titles like Tales of, Persona 5, Wild Arms, etc.. Now, that the brand is shifting focus to more Western-appealing games, I've lost interest. :/ To each their own, PlayStation isn't for me anymore.
Wow, Sony is failing big time with the PS5 in Japan. It's no surprise though. Anime games censorship and software-focus towards US/Europe are leaving their trails. :/
Haha, I'm still loving how Nintendo is allowing lewd stuff like this and Sony's is going full censorship nowadays. ^^ The game isn't my cup of tea though. I'd still prefer a mainline Senran Kagura brawler on Switch.
I totally agree. I’d also prefer a slightly more powerful device (to guarantee a stable 720p/30 fps), even if it means 3 hours of battery life than 6. I hope, an upgraded version of the Switch will be out in 2021.
Even though I like the Switch, I can’t really defend such sh*tty ports by saying “bUt It Is P0rTaBle”.
Julian Laufer. Haha, I got to know him, during my stay at a mental rehabilitation clinic, here in Germany. He was one of the doctors. Cool and very talented dude. I wish him best of luck with his game.
@Dirty0814 Yeah, I had the same feeling. The topic was all over the place. But the gameplay felt good.
@RazzberrySoda Ori is another good example of a Metroidvania I relay like. Even though some passages were frustratingly hard for me, I enjoyed both Ori games a lot.
I wanted at least a stable 1080/60 FPS experience, watching the gameplay footages. The graphics surely look beautiful, but I didn’t expected them to be that demanding. Guess I’ll wait for a “Switch 2” to play it.
Not hyped, to be honest. I prefer Metroidvanias like Chasm and Timespinner. This one looks like a Blasphemous clone. A 2D Soulslike. Not my cup of tea.
I’m honestly preferring my One X version of this game. The native 4K mode looks gorgeous. But the PS4 version is also good, the best one performance wise. A shame that even with patch 1.04 the game has trouble on Switch. Would’ve been my preferred platform for Metroidvanias.
What? Do the ladies and gentlemen at PETA know, how the museum in AC:NH even looks like? O_o Bugs and fishes have enough room and space to live in. It's definitely a lot more compared to some people putting Kois into small aquariums/tiny fish tanks in real life.
I'm over 100 hours in Rune Factory 4 Special and still can't appreciate the graphics. I'm definitely preferring Story of Seasons' cute style over Rune Factory's upscaled PS2 presentation.
@Big-Pepsi Same. I can’t stand fanboys. In Germany, we say “A good copy is better, than a bad invention”. Genshin Impact looks awesome. And I’d also be open for more “copy-paste” games. How about a... Waluigi of War or Horizon: Peach’s Dawn? I’d play them!
Nice story. I’ve always had good experiences when needing the customer support here in Germany, too. Nintendo and Microsoft help a lot and in a very professional way. Can’t say that about Sony though. Even the mails from the customer service are hard to decrypt. As if written by people who barely understand the German language.
Hey, better a Animal Crossing direct than no direct at all. I’m also looking forward to play this game. Since there’ll be crafting this time, I’m intrigued.
I’ve turned off motion blur, anti aliasing and set the sharpness to high. That made a great difference. The old blurry image was gone for a new sharper picture. Yes, it can look a bit pixelated here and there and it’s a question of taste at the end of the day, but personally I prefer seeing some more pixels than having too much blur.
Maybe, Sony owns the mainline Persona games, but allows spin offs like Persona Q and Scramble on other systems. :/ I don’t know, honestly. I like ‘em both: Sony and Nintendo. And Microsoft. Even though the Xbox One hadn’t much in store for my gaming taste this gen, unfortunately.
Welp, it’s also ignorant to say “I stick to system X, so bring that game to this system, cause I’m not willing to change/get another one”, sorry. It’s like complaining that Mario is only on Switch, but it should come to PS4, because of Sony-environment-preference. :/

25 fps and I’d have bought it simply cause it’s a charming game. But in the current state, no thanks.

Too many games! FF7R, P5R, Resi3, Granblue Fantasy Versus, Animal Crossing and Tokyo Mirage.
Re: Feature: Nihon Falcom President On Trails Of Cold Steel III And Bringing The Long-Running JRPG Series To Switch
@feder I had the same experience on Switch, sadly. Graphics seem like last gen, the Switch should be able to handle them much better.

Playing Timespinner and Fight'n Rage. Two underrated gems from the eShop, imho, and on sale till 19. April in Europe.

Why not having and playing both? I can't understand why people need to focus on only one console. :/
It has been a dry year for Nintendo Switch gamers, can't disagree with that, but we've still got more than another half of 2020 to go.
