It seems that the time of extreme amiibo stock shortages has finally passed, with most amiibo being relatively easy to find nowadays, save for perhaps a few extra rare ones. Naturally, this means that many collectors will likely be at a point now where they have a lot of amiibo to keep track of. Perhaps as a means of capitalising on this, Nintendo recently announced new 'amiibo dioramas' so you can display your amiibo collection in style.
There's a Smash Bros. themed diorama – based on the Battlefield stage from the new game – and a Kirby themed diorama to coincide with the release of the new Kirby amiibo. They'll go up for sale on 28th April and will retail for 864 yen (roughly 8 bucks). For the Kirby diorama, there will also be bundle deal that'll come with one of the new Kirby figures. Whether or not Nintendo will make this an ongoing trend remains to be seen, but it'd be nice if they made dioramas for other series'.
What do you think? Would you be interested in buying these? Do you think more will be made? Drop us a comment in the section below.

for eight bucks? yeah! though people could also make their own.
Lol, even in the official pictures, Samus is lopsided :/
I had even been making some of these myself...and I probably will still end up doing that. They look kind of 'meh' honestly...
I'd buy one yesterday.
I'd buy a Smash one if there was a bigger one, for like 10 or 15. I have like 30 of them and I know asking for 1 for all of them would be excessive, but if there's 1 that could display 10 or so I'd feel happy in showing off that much of my collection.
I'd buy one for eight bucks! My amiibos (my open ones anyway) are currently sitting very unattractively on my desk. need some spice.
@ASonic3582
Big Battlefield or Palutena's Castle maybe, haha!
Hmmm, maybe I should make my own Hyrule one with a castle
I would buy one but I think they should make specific ones to hold the whole series.
Example: final destination for all of smash series
Or mushroom kingdom background with spots for all of Mario series
Catch my drift?
It looks to me like Nintendo is seeing how far they can go with this cash cow.
If they released the Kitby one with the new Kirby amiibo range, I'd bite. It would give me an excuse to get 3 clone amiibos....
I'll definitely get them. I use the backdrop from the Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival box (more exciting than the game itself) to display my Animal Crossing range.
I would quite tempted by a Zelda one.
I'd buy a Golden Sun diorama with Amiibos to match 🌞
They look like the kind of thing you'd cut out of the back of a cereal packet. I guess I can see the appeal but they're not for me.
@Fandabidozi And a new game to go with em. Come on guys, one more!
Not interested.
Please make a fire emblem one that'd look amazing!
@Fandabidozi @MitchVogel Camelot be trollin' us... >:v
Last time I was in Toys R Us a few weeks ago my kids and I looked and they seemed to have every one except Wii Fit trainer and the gold and silver Mario. Probably some store exclusives too I guess but there were a ton, and several of each model.
But I'm not a big fan of the Kirby line, 3 of the 4 already have amiibo and who cares about the 4th? I do think they will sell better than the AC amiibo, every week in Target they seem untouched. I never saw Metanight in a store and saw King only once before that TRU trip, so there could be people who still want those. But the SM line didn't seem to sell all that well, AC isn't selling at all, Kirby has a new 3DS game but not sure even that is enough. NX needs a big amiibo game at launch to rekindle interest. The collectors already have theirs but the gamers don't really have any need. Time for "amiibo Land". Like Nintendo Land, only better, all multiplayer, not half.
That looks cool. If I had the extra space I would get them (or make my own ), but for now my amiibo will share the shelf space with my games.
@rjejr
Gold Mario was a walmart exclusive, silver mario is a bestbuy.
@Tempestryke Well that would explain it. I'm almost positive I bought my silver Mario at Target though, I recall buying it b/c they had only 1. And I hardly ever shop in store at Best Buy. I could be wrong though, I'm old and my short term memory is shot.
If they made an XL version of the smash one on Big Battlefield or Gaur Plain or something, then that would warrant a purchase, because I have so many amiibo, but if the biggest one has 5 spots, then I'll just keep em on my shelf.
