it wasn't going to be that good on switch anyways. the game is capped at 30fps and looking at leaked gameplay, splitscreen is like 20-25fps so if you want to play with family or friends you're better off buying this elsewhere.

@Hughesy yup. and on reddit it was the damage control festival. saying it was fine and people cried for nothing but most of those comments mysteriously disappeared when DF released an analysis.

there are still persistant ones damage controlling but those are just blind idiots. an xbox 360 game has no business running as bad as this.

@JayJ i always look elsewhere for the quality of a switch game. mainly digital foundry. it's the best place to know if the port actually has effort into it or not. hellblade shook me how they made it run at a relatively consistant 30fps, i didn't expect that at all. but saints row as a ton of issues and they didn't bother to talk about them. they are extremely biased and it's one reason why i only come here for news and not their reviews.

at 20fps 600p docked......... it will be another xenon racer. there is still no gameplay on may 13th witch is a day before release.

How can they say it runs well and looks good? It doesn't! The game looks worst than on 360 docked and the framerate consistently drop below 30. On top of that there is no antialiasing! This review is not so honest.

@Indominus_B that's because those old games are pretty much always over priced on switch. take the RE games for exemple, they were 10 bucks cheaper on ps4 when they launched and capcom is trying to charge 10 bucks more for what is pretty much a digital only release when ps4 had a full physical release for 10 bucks less.

people are right, they have to rant because capcom is complete nonsense when it comes to the switch. they try to abuse switch gamers and charge a tax for portability and the sad thing is that it works for them. People will blindly defend this nonsense because it's portable. but i, as a consumer, refuse to support such nonsense. i can spend my money on better products. i could get team sonic racing for 10 bucks more than resident evil 4, and that's a brand new game!

Zodiac age is a wonderful game but it has massive difficulty spikes at times. almost makes me want to quit but so far i managed to overcome them.

oh great another game that will run at 20fps. that's unless they optimize it but i doubt they will. so far devs like these don't care for the switch. they're just in for a quick buck.

@LuciferOnReddit yeah pc deff is the best way to play FPS games. i remember running wolfenstein 2 at over 100fps at ultra settings. compared to the switch's 22-30fps.......

i really hope it's 60fps...... and not 30. if it's 30 i'll cancel my pre order. 60fps is a must in racing games like these....

yoshi games have been plagued by bad music in the last couple of entries (exept whoolie world). i wanted to buy this game today but i remembered how embarassing the music is in this one so i'm just gonna wait for it to be 50% off, which means i'm gonna wait a lot.

@uhhhhhhhh warner bros didn't send any switch review units for mk11. they sent ps4 and xbox copies to major website but no switch version.

i pre ordered but ebgames told me they didn't recieve their copies and that i'll have to wait longer before i can pick this up. such a shame i wanted to play tomorrow.

It won't be an issue anymore for me when i'll buy a 400gb micro sdxc card for my switch. I'll soon switch (pun intended) so i don't have to deal with fake physical games anymore. start the download overnight and play it the next day. simple. the only physical games i will bother to buy will be nintendo exclusives. much less trouble to go digital only with third party games on switch anyway.

That game will still run and look mediocre on switch. just look at v-rally 4.... it's just atrocious.

It's up to EA to take the decision and we all know EA doesn't care about the switch. just like most american publishers,

@TPort777 it's really shady they are doing this (hiding gameplay) for both the pc and switch version. something is deff not right. i expect the game to be garbage on switch. it's sad they get away with this stuff.

So.... 13 days to go and we still don't have access to gameplay? makes me regret pre ordering the game in the first place. Looks like the game will bomb on switch because of issues. why would they keep it secret if the game actually ran decently? it's a big red flag.

@PCkid wana talk about how most playstation and xbox games get mendatory patches of 40-50gb with third party games? trust me, the switch download sizes are nothing compared to others.

Why don't they release an f-zero collection if they don't want to make a new game? Or at least, remaster GX.

i was interested in this but now that it is digital only with an empty box, i'll just get in on pc instead. No point into buying the switch version unless you want 340p 25fps in portable mode.

Wolfenstein 2 was ok for a switch port but the framerate and resolution were terrible for a shooter.

i'm sorry but they are partially at fault here. when you see deals like this where it seems too good to be true, this is where you are supposed to do research. if this deal is the only one like this on ebay, it's already a red flag. If you want one cheaper but new, i got bad news: you'll have a hard time finding one cheaper. either save money for a while or just don't buy it if you really can't afford it.

if i were you i wouldn't expect switch footage of doom eternal yet. as a matter of fact, i'm pretty sure the switch version will be delayed because of how hard it must be to make this game run on switch.

Because of how badly capcom treats switch owners, i decided to boycott them everywhere including on pc. There is no excuse to sell resident evil more expensive than the previous physical release on ps4 when it's digital only on switch. There is no excuse as to why the origin collection is 60 usd yet only one game is on the cart and the other is a download code.

From now on, i will get their games on pc for “free” if you know what i mean. They lost me as a customer and it will remain like this until they change the way they support switch gamers. They are extremely unfair. All capcom is doing is spitting in the face of most switch owners in america and europe and this behavior should not be supported in any form or way.

I would encourage most of you to ignore games published by capcom, they don't deserve your money at all.

LMAO. Enjoy your overpriced last gen (and older gen) ports friends. RE4 was 5$ on steam not long ago and i'm pretty sure the graphics and framerate are still going to be better than on switch.

i was willing to buy it on switch but seeing how greedy capcom is with that one, it's a big no from me. I pre ordered dragon dogma because it's cheap for the content it has and the game is physical but i might consider canceling it since they made me salty about the RE games on switch.

Not a big deal. Sony already won the 7th generation. The switch is to be considered as a 7th generation system because of its hardware. Once they release a system that rivals in some way to the upcoming ps5 and xbox scarlet, then we'll talk. It's great nintendo is doing well but it won't change our life.

too late. it's much cheaper elsewhere. i got it for like 20$ on steam and 25$ on ps4. considering this will be the worst version, no way i pay double the price.

To my humble opinion, i find dark souls remastered very lazy as a port on the switch. taking into consideration more work was put into the ps4/xbo/pc versions. They had more enhancements and better framerate. It only seems like they slapped the xbox 360 version straight up without enhancing the experience by doing nothing more than cranking the resolution. Even the framerate on the switch has pacing issues and drops a couple of times. They could have done better than this, they just didn't want to try. These 5 months of waiting were not worth it imo.

it's great they actually bring playable versions of doom and wolfenstein. There are still people that don't know these games exist on the switch. Plus recently i showed gameplay of wolf 2 in handheld to a friend and he was amazed.

Why do oi have the impression this is going to be 60fps everywhere except on switch which would probably be 30fps? I mean we'll have to wait to see, we never know.

Do yourself a favor and play this game. It was an excellent zelda competitor back then. It was also made by the studio that did shining force 1 and 2, even the composer was the same!

@johnnythexxxiv Maybe but what if rockstar absolutely want to use the current assets (from ps4 or xbox one) instead of the 360 assets (and upgrade the textures). the result wouldn't be great. Pretty sure a switch version would have lots of framerate issues if the ps4/xb1 assets would be used.

@mowerdude Tomb Raider would be nice but square is so focussed on graphics that i doubt we'll see it on the switch. It's the same thing that's happening with EA, ACTIVISION and Rockstar. They don't want to downgrade their games, so they don't release a switch version of let's say, GTA V, Call Of Duty WWII, Battlefront or even Anthem. I think these studios will only port last gen games.

As long as i doesn't release with lots of framerate issues, slowdowns and the infamous audio bugs (like the first doom version) i'll be okay with that. Take your time BETHESDA/MACHINEGAMES/PANIC BUTTON and make sure it runs slightly better than doom.

@cfgk24 i don't think everything would be 60 fps/1080p. Nintendo is still using an ARM (mobile) chipset and it's far from being as capable as a laptop apu (ps4/xbox one) or even a desktop cpu. if the ps4 and xbox one are already years behind pc, imagine the switch, which is also years behind the competition in term of hardware, granted that nintendo isn't competing with the other consoles right now. So you can't expect doom to run at 60fps with an hardware revision especially if it's as minor as just upgrading to tegra x2 which isn't much of an upgrade in the first place. the GPU still remains the same with the x2, which means graphics fidelity will be the same and performance too: 1080/30fps, 900/60fps/30fps, 720/30,720/60, 580/25-30
